I understand what danionell is trying to say. E-girls definitely has a loyal fanbase but those fans are also ldh fans in general imo. and what it means that general public doesn't really care about them is other than Follow me and GNKY, they don't really know e-girls' song meanwhile in comparison to 48g and 46g, general public can say more than 2 songs of them or can say the member more than the "blonde girl". But, mainly the reason why e-girls isn't that popular with general public is because except Ami, none of the girls get to be on variety shows that much hence why general public is not that familiar with them or "care" about them. They're not on tv as much as 48g or 46g where they got to be on like idk 10 tv shows and have their own programme airs every week. But, it doesn't mean they're not that popular. I have said this before but e-girls' fans mostly are students and they're female too. So, they definitely can't do bulk buying that much. This may irrelevant but if you compare the likes e-girls members got on instagram (and twitter) compare to 48g or 46g, e-girls get more likes. I know it sounds ridiculous but it just shows that e-girls cater to younger generation and they're popular with students. Like, e-girls is the trend group among younger generation. I would say e-girls (and their sub-units) are doing so-so digitally because it depends on what kind of songs they release. For example, like flower's yasashisa afureru you ni managed to stay on the chart for quite some times due to gun-chan's movie, ami's try everything was also like that because of zootopia (and that scored her performing on music station too.). But, that's how it works in Japan anyway. Songs in japan become popular and stay on the chart for so long usually because it's for drama's ost, movie's ost, cm's bgm song etc and if it gets blown because of sns. E-girls songs (and their sub-units) are always on the chart. Some popular singers/groups may appear on the chart with the single now but they might be forgotten in their next single so it's great that they're always on the digital chart with their new releases. So, even if they're doing so-so, they're far than being irrelevant. It's the same with e-girls' physical sales. Their single sales depends on what type of song they release but they're definitely gaining more loyal fans. That's for sure seeing their album sales are increasing from each release. And they managed to do arena tour too last year with more dates and they put additional dates too. It definitely says a lot with their popularity. If you see the current popular songs, they have similar trait which is easier to listen to and sing to. Hoshino gen's "koi" is massively popular because of the dance and RADWIMPS' songs is still relevant on the chart because of Kimi no na wa and the lyrics of the songs. Those songs are popular again because also they can be sung and dance to in Karaoke. E-girls' Follow me and GNKY become popular because the cute lyrics and addictive dance that is easy to follow and fun to be done in karaoke. So, that's what it meant. Karaoke is a big thing in Japan and they do goukon there, company after dinner gathering there etc. If you're in like company gathering of course you would sing song that can bring the mood up. Something that is fun to sing, can be related too, and easy to follow so recent e-girls songs definitely already out of the list if you're with your co-workers because they might not know the song and it's not hugely talked so it feels like you're having fun by yourself. Maybe you can sing e-girls' songs with your school friends in Karaoke but they're likely don't know the songs so you of course only sing them with your friends who are fans of them = so niche market. So, just like dokidokiâ„¢ as long as they have dedicated fandom that purchase their singles and albums digitally and physically, i don't really care that much about general public. Well, of course it's nice that even random stranger knows e-girls and can sing their song and somehow being known by general public these days also means that you're popular and accepted. Also, if you're popular with the public they can go to prestigious award ceremony too and it would be great to see them to be nominated. But for me, as long as I know that the girls still receive loud cheers when they perform, that's more than enough. Because I know that they were struggling a lot during their earlier days especially Dream so yeah I'm happy with their current growing popularity tl;dr, Hopefully LDH won't be sleeping on them and this year becomes a huge year for e-girls

flower members have said that they're going to continue with 6 members and it seems that they have no plan on adding a new vocalist. I can already tell that washio is trying really hard to sing in flower and e-girls and there is no song where washio doesn't have a line in e-girls' songs like she's the main vocal for e-girls. Last year was a very busy year for the girls. So, I really feel bad for washio because there were e-girls' concert in the beginning of the year, followed by flower's new single and then H&L concert, e-girls singles and then Flower's concert at the end of the year too. Hopefully she takes care of herself She looks dead tired too Well, like i said the girls have decided that they're moving forward with 6 members but who knows? if washio's condition deteriorates because of this situation, they might be? But, nah. i don't think they would because this is their 2nd year with only her as a vocalist. Adding a new member right now, even though adding a new member has been what i have wanted since kyoka's departure, would be too late and would be too awkward imo.

I like both actually. I think maybe the reason why we don't really feel the "pazazz" because flower is more into delivering the lyrics while happiness is more bringing the hype. If only we understand the lyrics as we're listening to the songs, we might feel the pazazz even more. So, just like the name itself, Flower Theatre, Flower is trying to tell a story through their concert like their 1st concert, there was narration etc. Exile's Sato Taiki himself said that the name of their concert really fits because they truly like were telling a story. Plus, Flower concept is like...serenity. Even the lights weren't that many so truly like you're watching a play in a theatre. But, i do really love both groups and concerts even though i like happiness' tour outfits than flower's because flower's look pretty basic ;A; I wish there more with flower's outfits because even their 1st concert was pretty basic. Happiness' outfits in the other hand was really cool ^__^

technically, it's her 2nd time on the cover but her first time was with 2 other models. hahaha this is the first time being the sole cover model took them pretty long to give her a chance but glad it's finally here and hopefully she gets a lot of pages she's been getting a lot pages too these few months
-
I hope they did that because they didn't want to spoil the content that would be in the dvd because they were too amazing a bit disappointed that they squeezed in the promotion for e-girls' new single in happiness' finale show because i kind of want it exclusively for happiness since this is their 1st tour after debuting for years but oh well, i understand because the day after their show is e.g crazy release date me too. their outfits were more fitting for concert more than flower's. flower's was a bit basic tbh but i hope the ones they showed on the footage weren't the only flower's outfits

I watched it as an in-flight movie. I loved their banter and their cute fight after they figured out that they switched bodies but honestly it was a bit disappointing for me because some parts are a bit ??? to me. Maybe because I watched it after I just had a 3-hour sleep or because I had a super high expectation (due to the massive popularity) but the cinematography and the soundtracks were really amazing though.

as much as some people are getting sick of follow me and gnky (including me), i don't think they will stop performing those lmao. at least not in another 2-3 years. I want them to perform one two three again though. I'm up for e-girls releasing more sexy/cool songs but I also like e-girls' cute and lovely concept too. all day long lady was pretty boring for me but the more i watched the performance, the more it grows on me because of the choreography. I hope this year can be a big year for e-girls (flower, happiness, and dream too).

probably the cd clerk has used to it is since bulk buying albums is pretty common in Japan xD but wow, that must cost them a lot. the most i can buy probably only 5 copies btw, Harumi will be on the cover for this month's ray magazine can't wait to see her pages since it will be her first time modelling for the cover alone, I assume she will get a few pages about herself? like private shots etc. hopefully and she looks so gorgeous on the cover
-
lmao miyuu and ruri from aya's blog xD didn't they have (almost) kissing shot from e-girls 1st photobook too? also, now e-girls pictures from their blogs are watermarked with e-girls logos. I just wanted to share these pictures for fun and because they were cute too. since, ldh has told us to never share their artists pictures from their mobile blogs on any media platform, I hope none of you share those pictures outside of this thread because I don't want to get sued lmao xD but if you insisted, pls re-upload them using your own url and don't credit me because again, I don't want to get sued lmao xD

never understand why ldh wouldn't put them in one frame and shoot the cover together just like their countdown picture instead of copy and paste their profile photoshoot into one with super basic photoshop skill
-
oh my god 9 hours. It must be so tiring I'm glad that she was able to see her families^^ and it looked like the girls had an amazing time in laos too yesss cube. pls early next year comeback!! and hopefully they will do busking again

She was indeed popular but as I said not super popular like the others who had debuted in a unit especially shuukaren. I was devastated when she had to go back being a trainee/rabbit
-
if I'm being realistic the chance of them being a unit is pretty low. Both aren't super popular and seeing how LDH isn't even 100% trying with e-girls, I doubt they will debut Rurisa. Shuukaren happened because they're in top 5 most popular members in e-girls (and I could be wrong but that is how it looks like to me) and shuukaren managed to sell like idk, was it 80k copies? So, I guess LDH decided to make SudannaYuzuYully happens because they want to test the water again (and make ¥¥¥¥). Those three might not be as popular as shuukaren but they have decent fanbase. But, I still will pray that they will debut Rurisa and will haunt ldh with that once Risa returns to e-girls. As far as I know, Harumi and Kaede haven't had any photoshoot together unless it's together with e-girls members or for CMs, I think? Both are regular models for different magazines, i'm not sure whether that can be the reason they don't have a photoshoot together yet but I guess they're just busy modelling for their own magazine they work with. btw, Is Sudannayuzuyully record label rhythm zone or Sony Music?
-
I posted this awhile back but they're still super close on her blog she even mentioned their couple name "Rurisa" She said Risa is her never changing, forever and always favourite person (she said daisuki na hito, so technically the person she loves but I guess favourite person is more fitting?). Whenever she's with Risa, she always had a great laugh (laugh from the bottom of her heart). She also said that she's blessed/happy to have someone like her. They made that necklace together. So, I'm sure they're still hanging out together in their private time LDH needs to make Rurisa happen if Risa is back to e-girls my fave two biases together and oops, i posted their mobile blog picture here
-
Hoooray for the debut of another unit~ so does this mean all three are singing/rapping? btw, in celebration of this new unit, I hold a giveway! CLICK HERE to see on how to participate~

tutorial to register to mobile blogs right? The only thing you need is credit card/debit card that works internationally. I'm gonna put it on spoiler. BTW, i was taught by fy-hiroomi so everything that I put under the spoiler is credited to fy-hiroomi (and bless their soul for explaining it super clearly with images too) Oh, the tutorial they gave me was to register to exile tribe account, so if you want to look at exile or e-girls' mobile contents then you just need to register to those two as well:

They're usually posting selfies/videos and those selfies/videos only posted on their private mobile blogs that we have to pay so we can see them and sure those aren't part of the professional side but still part of somehow their "job" or "fanservice". Again, sure they don't lose billion of yen but it's still something that people need to pay so maybe they're just respecting fans' requests because there might be fans who report to LDH that there are fans who keep re-posting them outside the blog and they're unhappy with it. There have been cases where international fans received messages from Japanese fans to stop re-posting mobile pictures. I think I also make myself clear that them banning their instagram pictures on other media platform except their own account imo is also laughable. So, both of us are the same in regards to this. Since they're not policemen and they don't have to pay attention to those more serious crimes then maybe this problem is something they think is a serious crime because people are re-uploading something that shouldn't be taken out of the mobile blogs so technically it's illegal and there is breach of copyright. Here I'm talking about the mobile blogs contents if you still keep thinking about the instagram then nothing should be discussed further because I also think it's questionable and they shouldn't have taken down pictures that are posted on their artists' own instagram accounts. Japan has their own rule/law whether we think it's laughable, idiotic, making international fans harder to stan etc it's still a law so whether we want to follow them or not, it's certainly up to us but the action they're going to take for that is also up to them.
-
They surely won't lose 1/2 of their revenue but Japan itself has a very strict law regarding copyrights. In a sense all of the pictures that are posted on their mobile blogs are own by LDH so they have the rights for all of the contents in the mobile blogs and since Japan has the law for it, they're just following them as well hence they can take legal actions for breach of copyright. Although we like it or not, whether their action is justified or not. They also want us to respect fans who are paying for the service and it would be unfair for them because they have to pay to see the content while some get them for free. What fans are doing by re-uploading them on media platform are illegal even though they have no malicious intent and just want to share the pictures for the fans who aren't able to pay for the service and LDH do not want their content to be spread illegally for whatever reason it is because again, they own it. They might not achieve something significant by doing this but mobile blogs kind of giving fans extra special because the artists share things there like what they have been doing, what they encounter that day etc basically like a diary so if we share it freely then the mobile blogs lose its meaning. This might be something that is hard to understand but copyright issue has been something that is practiced for years in Japan. It's not as lenient as it is in S.Korea or something that is not done in other countries. But, this is Japan and It's just how thing works there. I understand if it's about mobile blogs because it makes sense and even though it's sad that some can't enjoy the pictures anymore because it's hard to share them now but it's not something that is idiotic or completely non sensical because there are reasons behind it. What is questionable for me though, why they're also taking down pictures that are posted on their artists' sns account. True, they still have the rights for them but it's posted on public accounts... Oh well, we can still see them right from their account anyway and we don't even need to have an account to see them so I guess just look and like but do not put it somewhere else. Well, LDH has taken their action nothing else we can do here but respect their decision. We still can enjoy and fangirl by watching their videos anyway and since onehallyu is a forum that you need to register to view (isn't it?), we, who have access to mobile blogs, might post some things that are worth to be shared like cute moments between members or important things even though I'm sure they will also share it on their sns accounts^^
-
at this stage, I wouldn't even be surprised as well if that is also going to be forbidden They sure love taking happiness out from people :( thank you for sharing the pictures up until now, Lendy :( But, the one that is posted on mobile usually have logos on them (the boys particularly). So, They should have known whether the one that was posted is from mobile or their sns account
-
Apparently posting LDH artists' twitter and instagram pictures are prohibited too. Click here to view the Tweet What's the point of them making sns account then? Once they post the pictures on their public sns account, it means technically everyone can repost/re-upload them since there's a retweet button and repost app. Okay okay they made the account because they wanted fans to feel closer to them and they might want international fans to feel the love too. Plus, I do understand that it is their artists' pictures so they have the right over the pictures but gdi LDH. I get it if they ban reposting the mobile pictures on media platform but this one just doesn't make any sense. Basically, LDH is saying "Look but do not touch".
