Fans like one are one of my least favourite categories. You didn't only put words in my mouth by infering that I expect him to have a smile plastered on his face 24/7 and not grow up, but you also had the gall to evaluate and judge my sentiment and label it as "disingenuous". Who do you think you are to say that?
No, I have not read every tweet or thread that speculated about Taehyung's moods or issues so this question and topic was brand new for me, but hey, it must be fake concern because every single ARMY needs to be aware of every single post made about the boys right? Give me a break.
lol. you give ME a break. like, my post obviously wasn't 100% only directed at you. i was talking about the sentiment of people saying taehyung looks down in general and venting my frustration in general. if you took it as some personal attack that sounds like a you problem.
people, you included, always say "taehyung looks down" without even explaining what not "looking down" would even be. you even mentioned he smiles and jokes around still. so what are you expecting? if you don't want people to "put words in your mouth" explain what you mean. i never said your concern is disingenuous, i said this overall sentiment in general seems disingenuous to me, and thats called an opinion. reading comprehension 101.
its also very telling that you ignored most of the more relevant parts of my post just so you could pick a fight with me.

I think the person was a bit concerned, chill
people have been saying "whats wrong with taehyung" "taehyung looks rlly down lately" for YEARS now. im just saying the "concern" feels disingenuous at this point.

i will never understand this sentiment tbh. he's literally a human being? is he supposed to have a smile plastered on his face 24/7? and even then, what do you even mean by "he looks down lately"? mma was literally 2 days ago and he was all smiles and happiness. these sentiments always seem a tad disingenuous bc we all know he's been through a lot in the past years. and he grew up. what more explanation do you need for someone being slightly different than they were when they were a literal teen.

do people still just show up to the movies without already having a movie and showing to attend in mind though? lol

imagine being so brainless thinking x1 members had any say in whether they got rigged in or not
so the whole thing about some members getting unfair advantages like learning the songs early and knowing good and well they were getting preferential treatment was a figure of our imaginations, huh

Yet another thread with someone mentioning “sexual services”. I’m tired lol.
2 minutes ago, finalcoup said:And the mods are not even doing anything yuck. These people should be banned
is in not true that the pd101 producer was given sexual favors as an incentive to rig members? y'all realize that is what that comment is referring to right? or are you just being obtuse?

NB is transparent for only translating a nate article. when are they taking comments off of nate and naver again?

why do yall keep making threads about this? could all of this not have been said in one thread?
its a fact that x1 didn't win bc of their rigging controversy. we ALL know that. why does the truth upset you? direct your anger where it belongs. people are being shady towards txt and then acting like their stans are crazy but pd101 debuts were never a norm. txt would have won if it hadn't been a pd101 debut year. x1 wasn't robbed. they were blacklisted for a scandal. its a simple as that get over it.

is making threads like this going to turn back time to before x1 was rigged and change history so that they aren't blacklisted and can win year end awards? hang it up already.

Like what is this Record of the Year Daesang and how it is different from Album of the Year Daesang?
Does anyone know?
record of the year is more about the team behind the album rather than the artists apparently? but either way, it was a random award they made up last year so they could give w1 a daesang so

my family are actually mostly moderates with some slightly liberal leaning ideologies, so i never find myself feeling particularly appalled when they talk about things in general. my dad has a few opinions on things i dont agree with but he's not aggressive so. but my thanksgiving dinners are usually set up to where we have a giant potluck with about 50 people and we all find our own corners of the host house to group up in and make our rounds to talk to each other so its not as awkward as the entire family sitting at one table and having a singular convo.

all you have to do i make sure you only sleep with people who are also clean lol. though its true a lot of people dont get tested as often as they should.

1. txt
2. cix
these two groups have the potential imo to be the 4th gen bg leaders and i think they will continue to prosper in 2020. they both have good music and showed an increase in success when they came back. i can only see them going up.
3. verivery
this group is kind of floating on the edge of obscurity and jellyfish is fumbling a bit with them, but i like their music so. idk how much growth they will see in 2020 tho even if jellyfish actually supports them and doesn't drop them like they did gugudan.
4. x1
not sure if they're going to disband or not so idk about 2020 predictions.
5. ab6ix
they're already declining but their digital is okayish. i see them staying somewhat stagnant in 2020.
6. oneus
they're kind of in the same boat as verivery. on the edge of obscurity with the threat of dwindling company support. 2020 could be the last stand for them too

People dont like trolls but trolls were the only thing that kept this site alive if we're honest. People get mad at controversial topics so it stops people from making controversial topics. Besides that tho, as others mentioned, people just moved on bc the site was down for so long.

I think body positivity doesnt automatically mean health every size (altho there are people who support both), for an obese person who is trying to lose weight, or a recovering anorexic, after they realize they need to change, they dont need people telling them every hour that they look unhealthy, but they need friends and family who tell them they will be loved regardless of how they look, maybe this is where body positivity can be useful?
but thats the thing. theres a difference between the overall movement and the actual concept. i think as a concept, body positivity can be helpful for people who are suffering from societal pressures and stigmas. but the actual movement of people online pushing their agendas about what body positivity should mean and dictating who belongs in the movement ect ect is where things get weird for me.
-
idk, i feel like the body positivity movement itself is a bit of a mess. of course everyone should have an opportunity to love themselves and experience being comfortable on their own skin without constant judging and assumptions and bullying being thrown their way. but the fact of the matter is, people should be conscious of their health and how what they do on social media influences others to think about health. the whole "healthy at every size" thing is just simply a myth, and while you truly can't judge someone's health just by looking at them, i think people ignoring their health completely for the "body positive" agenda is dicey af. its just such a nuanced concept that i don't think a lot of people have truly thought about from all sides.

Still shouldn’t be getting #cancelled
She made a dumb ignorant comment and now people are foaming at the mouth and getting their pitch forks out. Meh I dunno how yall have the energy
but i mean, people can stop supporting her if they want. the thing with cancel culture is that even if they try, no1 can force you to stop supporting someone. they can however stop supporting that person themselves

i'm ignoring that duo guanlin had with wooseok if anyone even remembers that btw.
but anyway, god is legit so cruel. they've got (imo), the best debut album and the best aesthetic, but they're the only ones that didn't debut on melon and they have the worst album sales including even the post w1 soloists (besides jisung). was bae jinyoung rlly the least popular w1 member? but even then, cix has members that were on yg's treasure box and as much as a flop as that was, i thought they had at least garnered some interest from it. but its just not enough, huh? c9 hasn't done anything horribly wrong in their promo of cix, its just a shame that an actual good group is performing subpar to where they logically speaking should be. hopefully their cb shows some improvement.

Eventually, a group will come and surpass BTS
I remember when everyone thought Big Bang were untouchable lol
i mean, maybe it sounds biased but bts rlly is different. they've done things beyond monumental at this point. they've already pushed passed the cap of what was possible for a kpop act to achieve. and of course bts will fade out eventually and there will be another top group, but i don't see kpop success going much farther past bts. a lot of things would have to align for it to happen.
8 minutes ago, echobunny said:bts will soon be more successful than boa and tvxq with their achievements, they replicated their success as korean acts in japan. are we beating a dead horse?
idk how true this is, all i know is tvxq still holds the japanese touring record and bts doesn't even seem to have any intent to particularly beat it so theres that. bts has eggs in multiple baskets, they aren't that honed in on japan so.

oh their success can and definitely will be replicated, just like they replicated it - give it a few years
i don't think the things bts has done can ever be replicated to a tea. its just not realistic. once this wave of competition driven album sales dies in a few years, the kpop physical album market is going to fall again. the generation that is avidly buying multi versions to collect photocards will eventually move on and changes in the economy ect will inevitably effect consumer buying patterns for future generations of fans.
but even beyond album sales, the things bts has done in the u.s, as a u.s citizen, i don't see it happening again. kpop is and will always be a niche abroad. bts just barely stepped outside of that niche and people are constantly trying to contain them to that niche. it will never be easy to break into uncharted markets like they have. it will never be easy to sell out stadiums in multiple countries like they have. theyve done things that no other group before them have done and that no group after them will do. just like there are things tvxq has done in japan that no one has beat, not even bts. thats just how it goes. history never repeats it self the same way twice.
