barely active?????? hoshi alone covers for daily 400 carats at least sis

and god it has NOTHING to do with bts txt or bighit, can you NOT take my complaing towards yourself?? its between carats and pledis alone, nothing to do with any of you guys, why defensive lol

im only saying what i saw CARROTS posting first of all. 2nd of all,  it has everything to do with bh and bts bc its bh's platform, and its bts that your kind have been coming after over the rumors of pledis being bought by bh.  my only intent was to tell you that you are grossly misinformed about weverse. have a nice day.

you obviously can't read the signs

oh i can, but if any of that was confirmed between the companies it would have been spoken about at bh's 1hr+ briefing.but it wasn't. they just mentioned that they want artists from other companies to use weverse. and thats whats happening

I'm honestly not as freaked out about it as other fans are nor am I scared of change, but I am skeptical about it. Or at least Pledis's thought process behind the whole thing lmao. Also, it's not just kfans that are upset about this, ifans are too which is why I said a majority of fans were fine with the daum fancafe.

Anyway, other than that I'm mostly side-eyeing it because besides ifan interaction, what is it doing better than the fancafe? I would have felt better about this if weverse wasn't still being worked on. It's not unreasonable for fans to want a better functioning website right? I mean, the fancafe is right there for bighit to copy off of; just make it available to ifans and they've got themself a working website that doesn't have issues with fans posting weird stuff.

With all of the recent fanwars between carats and armys online (calling seventeen fans carrots isnt really helping), I've also seen concern from fans that seventeen might be bombarded with hate posts (which wouldn't be an issue with proper moderation). I'm not saying it's going to happen, but at least the daum fancafe guaranteed that artists were only seeing what fans posted.

Also I'm not sure how much of a better opportunity this is supposed to provide? I actually being honest here. People who are already dedicated fans of Seventeen are still going to interact with them, it's not like moving to weverse will increase the amount of fans they have or give them more opportunities the group didn't have before.

The thing is, I dont expect Seventeen to reply to ifans(specifically english comments) because that's not where their core audience lies. It makes sense for bts and txt because a huge number of their fans speak english, but it's not the same for seventeen. This is where most of my confusion lies. All of my previous opinions are based on the idea that bighit didn't actually buy pledis, but have a deal where pledis uses bighit resources(? I'm not sure how to phrase this sorry). If Pledis isn't under bighit why are they risking pissing off a majority of seventeen fans by using a website that makes fan interaction more difficult compared to the daum cafe?

Again, personally I'm not as alarmed as other carats, but it's still normal to not automatically believe that a company (especially pledis) is making 100% the right decision on how artists interact with their fans. There have been multiple times where pledis has made stupid decisions regarding seventeen (and their other groups).

this post rlly confuses me lol. bh is mobilizing hard core and trying to decouple themselves from the underbelly of the k industry by making everything themselves and inviting others to join them. it started with that new music platform flo that they contributed to. weverse and weply (the cafe and their online store) have their own brand. anyone looking from the outside would not automatically associate those things with bh. and that is where the genius and what other companies are coveting lies. why continue to put money into naver and daum's pocket when you can link up with bh, get connections, grow with a platform that has potential to be big ect ect? i don't see whats hard to understand about that.

also "The thing is, I dont expect Seventeen to reply to ifans(specifically english comments) because that's not where their core audience lies." i HAVE to laugh at this. did pledis not just do a u.s promo push for 17? didn't 17 say one of their goals was performing at the citifield stadium in nyc that bts performed at? they want u.s success. everyone does now that bts made it look easy. its as simple as that.

in regards to "17 being bombarded with hate posts", 1) i doubt they will be sitting there scrolling through hundreds of posts every hour of every day to see anything thats slipped through the cracks. 2) gfriend fans argued the same thing, and guess what? not a complaint since. yall get so caught up in the hypotheticals before anything even happens.

weverse functions just fine. you're acting like you use it when you dont lol. it is definitely more modernized than daum and that is a good thing to me.

But everyone can already enter fancafe??? You literally just take an exam and bam thats all, completely free

People's personal info is stolen, countless nsfw posts and fanfics re shared hell nah, I for thousands of times prefer fancafe, where rules apply to even members. Fck easiness, I want Boys to not constantly see p*rn its very easy logic

    Also Pledis confirmed thanks Pledis.

first of all, you literally have to be someone knowledgeable of korean or google translate everything to use daum "easily", and the way the site is set up is just plain archaic. and im quite confused as to where you got any of this info about weverse from. bc its literally over exaggerated and you're clearly not a fan of any of the artists on there so?? i just said posts that get mass reported get taken down immediately. its fan moderating. yeah, daum was harder for random people to enter and was more closely moderated but i find it hard to believe no1 ever post smtg inappropriate on there.

i also distinctly remember a pann post of kcarrots complaining that 17 is barely even active on their fancafe... maybe they will feel more compelled to interact on weverse.

but i mean, keep crying ig bc its already happening

kcarats are so fucking mad oh my god. If Pledis really doesn't end up being bought out by bighit I truly don't understand why they're making this change. A majority of fans were fine with the regular fancafe, all this does is piss off kcarats. From what I've researched (for 10 minutes) about weverse, the servers aren't that good and posts aren't actively moderated. So like... why? If it's to reach out more to international fans, from what I've seen artists usually stay on the korean side of the site anyway right? Pledis better be ready for all this backlash lol.

Man, Hoshi and Dokyeom literally just figured out how to change their profile pictures on the fancafe like last week lmao it's all going to go to waste.

why are people so afraid of change? and since when were kfan opinions the only ones that were important? weverse is easily accessible for ifans in a way daum fancafes could never be. bh is also testing it out to be a host for premium content that used to be on vlive and closely linking it to their online store weply. if carrots can't see this as a good opportunity for 17...idk what to say. weverse servers aren't actually that bad and its clearly a platform that is constantly being worked on. they recently added a desktop site when it was only mobile before. on top of that txt, bts, AND gfriend are all extremely active on there. the artists LOVE it, likely bc its an easily navigatable app. bts and txt do reply to ifan comments. there isn't a particularly good mod system in place, but mass reporting comments gets them deleted nearly immediately so just report anything bad and there you go.

so the rumors about pledis joining bighit might be true

the full video of the corporate briefing should be released later

there were no mentions of them buying pledis. the whole point is that weverse will be open for other artists to join and 17 is the first outside of bh labels to do so.

  6. i'm in a similar boat. im 22 and i've never been in a relationship. i went to a religious middle school and religious all girl's highschool and when i entered college i still lived at home and was fairly socially stunted so it took me quite some time to make friends. i personally have tried online dating apps bc i feel like i don't go out to places where i could meet possible love interests often enough, and ive been on a few dates but nothing much ever really comes of it so i'm just waiting patiently for my time tbh.

all you can really do is wait and put yourself in social situations where you can meet more people.  i know it can often feel like you're running out of time, but at the end of the day relationships aren't everything. i'm personally at a point where i think of dating to marry more than just dating around so i feel like if i have to wait for the right person i will. once you reach a mindset like that it feels like a weight is lifted.

yet you're still here, writing a whole paragraph full of excuses instead of admiting that your thread title and content don't make sense

just because you can't comprehend something doesn't mean it doesn't make sense, luv. nothing i said was an "excuse".  again, i have nothing to prove to the likes of you or that seokii btch so keep yelling into a void. yeah, i typed a paragraph bc the dismissal of racism and deflection in the thread got me heated as a minority in the united states. that was not the drag you think it was.

    😂😂😂😂😂

ok then let's hear an explanation for the title. I want receipts of the twitter users you posted saying they don't hate the group, just the fandom.

I will be waiting! I would hate to assume you randomly just applied that sentiment to a bunch of users you don't know just because you wanted to stir up some shit. But I know you didn't do that. Right? let's see some screenshots sis

i literally said in a post right above yours that non kpop stans say the same shit. no, im not going to waste my time digging through twitter for receipts that you can look up your own damn self instead of wasting all of our time by being obtuse. its just funny how you guys want to badly to make this about kpop fanwars. i never bought up fandoms. i bought up something i as an army see hundreds of people saying. bts interacts with western artists often these days and their fandoms always have shit to say. arianna stans did a few days ago, and logic stans did today. i have nothing to prove to you if you want to live in ignorance and be insecure about this post. idk why making a post about racism bts faces constantly bought in people like you trying to make it something its not.  its quite sick

wtf how does this have anything to do with kpop stans. lmao this is literally just rando edgy twitter drama

No one bought up kpop stans but you guys. And you know good and well some probably liked those tweets bc they hate bts that much. But that's neither here nor there

And it's funny how thousands of people being racist on a public platform is nothing more than "random edgy drama" to you. That's why they get away with it. Bc people chock up being racist to edgy jokes.

i see you are playing victim like this fandom always does

everyone is so meeeeaaan to armies and armies do nothing wrong 😞

You stay sounding dumb.... how am I "playing the victim" by showing targeted attacks on bts. Playing the victim insinuates I'm saying I'm the victim and that nothing victimizing actually happened, neither of which is true. Make it make sense asshole. I said nothing about armys or even kpop stans but that's all yall feel the need to boil this down to. Quite sick.

People from outside the kpop fandom say the tagline in the thread title too. Yall bought up kpop stans. Not me.

I don't know why, but seems like no excitement like last year? I mean, Big Hit didn't even confirm their apperance. BTS hasn't tweeted anything. Kmedia unusually quiet. Just... Weird.

bh just posted the kmedia press release and this on twitter

and im pretty sure it was supposed to be a surprise that they were performing smtg but the info leaked a little earlier than it was supposed to so.

If Shawols have brought it up then it is similar enough so I'm going to ignore y'alls dismissal of the issue there lmao. This isn't the first time something like this has happened (not just with SHINee) and it won't be the last so stop pretending like we are attacking your fav. Shawols aren't attacking txt like we know very well they are just kids. Also stop acting like Shawols have been going on a year long rampage when today is the first time I've heard of it lmao. It's a small issue that Shawols are worried about and it won't be a thing in a few days from now. Y'all are just using this as an excuse to get as much hate on Shawols in as possible seriously...

Oh fck off lol. Shawols are just another toxic 2nd gen fandom like ll the rest. Dont pretend like they can do no wrong.

Shawols: Please don't use that color since it means a lot to us.

Y'all: Oh my god Shawols are insane and so so stupid how could they feel something is special when it isn't special to me?

You obviously don't care about colors so why do you care if Shawols ask them to change it? You are acting like this is a new thing and honestly i blame the generation gap for y'all not understanding how a color could be important to a fandom. I get that y'all don't understand but that doesn't stop it from being important. Y'all are acting like people are calling for txt's disbandment over this. In fact most Shawols I know actually like txt especially after they performed replay so well and know one of the members is a Shawol.

Are you ok? Like you're ignoring the main point that it's not even actually the same color... and their lightstick is clearly going to change colors like bts'. So yes shawols do look dumb rn.

Is "negro" perceived the same way as the n word ? If yes is it more like the -a form or the -er ?

that is literally the term the n word is derived from. its equally as discriminatory and its a word you literally would have to know the history behind to even use in that context. its not even ignorance at this point, its racism.

Because 99% of groups don't sell more than 400-500k, so I consider EXO and especially BTS more an exception that what's usually normal. But it's just my opinion tho.

but i mean, 4 groups reaching over 900k is more than just an "exception" imo. at that point it shows that its possible, just not everyone can do it.
