This some backward ass reasoning.
You're basically saying "The parties aren't addressing these baseless rumors... so these rumors must be true." Which doesn't make any sense if anyone thinks about it just a little bit.
why wouldn't she address a "baseless", career damaging rumor that basically tanked her image.... and its not exactly baseless. song joongki filed for the divorce quite suddenly and their marriage ended quietly in the blink of an eye. obviously smtg happened. they were not married that long and i feel like such a public couple would have stuck it out a little longer if it was something more trivial than infidelity. but in the end, its all just rumor and speculation which i never denied. my only point was to explain why people are disliking her rn. i have no personal opinions on her or song joongki. im a fan of neither of them.

tbh im expecting something on the upbeat side again. black swan seemed like the "dark" counterpart of this album. it seems like a super self reflective album so far so something lighter, either spring day route or more pop heavy is quite viable.

they were so many news i couldnt follow it up
but was she actually a cheater?
i mean i can understand ppl hating on her cause rumors like thatneither party confirmed the actual reason for the divorce so, it was neither confirmed nor denied that she cheated. but the lack of out right denial says everything imo. the only person who denied anything was bogum afaik bc people spread rumors that she cheated with him.

aren't the rumors that she must have cheated on song joongki for things to go the way they did with their divorce? seems like a perfectly reasonable reason for people to dislike her since nothing has come out about him doing anything wrong. hating cheaters isnt misogynistic.

i've failed classes before that i rlly thought i could pass in the final stretch and all you can rlly do is move forward. i know you said you dont have any more chances so it might be hard, but once you stop dwelling so much on something that is already passed and start working towards your next move it will stop making you feel as bad i think.

how it's not relevant? didn't they publish articles saying how they spent millions to promote the individual and subunit releases?
and now the company is from loss to loss?
them getting sued for not following through in a contract is not the same as financial loss from allegedly overspending on the girls.

I said it before and got negged a lot but I will repeat it
the 2 years of expensive individual releases did nothing to Loona and were a loss of money . Sure, it brought some fans but the result is not something impressive (compared to groups who had a typical debut)
it just added to the girls' debt
ok? but if they hadn't done all of that they would be even less successful and have far less ifans that's for sure. whether you personally think the project was worth it or not, i'm sure bbc's bank statements hold the truth.
idk why you felt the need to say this again in a topic where it is just barely relevant

the pre-debut content actually worked for groups like ATEEZ or Loona too. If Loona didn't have the 2 years of solo/subunit releases I don't think they would've had such a big international fandom now tbh.
loona's concept was beyond the predebut content i'm specifically talking about but yeah, it gave them a boost. just not as much as it should have for how expensive the project probably was. as for ateez i cant rlly comment bc i don't keep up with their sales or charting like that, but i'm still skeptical of the actual return value of predebut things like dance covers and little shows.
-
i think the group will be introduced similarly to txt, little intro vids and pics of each member being released as hype. and i think thats a fine way of doing it. predebut content doesn't do as much good as you would think. it just became a trend largely because of the survival show method and even then, pd101 and twice were anomalies. many survival show groups flopped just as much as they would have otherwise. bh has enough brand power for the debut to get attention either way and the members will carry it on with their subsequent cbs.

neither group has any sort of good promo. what little fans they have are probably dwindling by the day. their companies are fumbling badly

I heard that miniskirt mostly went viral for the dancing or something like that? because other ggs had done sexy concepts before. Everglow's Bon Bon Chocolat wasn't really original either. Some people described it as a mix of Blackpink + some trendy western pop songs, but I guess they made the instrumental chorus thingy more popular. GWSN concept kinda has a WJSN vibe with the dreamy/magical vibe too. Like I said, basically everything is invented but for some reason people pull the "generic" card mostly with bgs. There's this song from a nugu group whose concept/sound I find pretty different to what most bgs are doing but I'm pretty sure some people would find it generic too.
i have absolutely no idea what points of mine you're actually trying to disagree with anymore so i have nothing left to add to this convo lol. you basically ignored what i was trying to say in both my posts so is this even a conversation? calling bgs generic is a nice way of saying they suck. you don't have to agree with that but we've been talking about how kpop's quality has been on the decline for two years now. thats all there is too it.

I get your point but by that logic what would be really unique then? Basically everything has been done already. Cute/colorful concepts like TxT, early Astro/NCT Dream? Done. Sensual/sultry like this The Boyz concept or CIX's Movie Star? Done. Badass/hip hop like early BAP? A rookie group did it recently too. Classy/mature like SF9's Good guy or Golcha's Wannabe? Done too. But by that logic the same could be said about girl groups. 90% of current girl group concepts could be classified in:
Girl crush (badass/fierce version): Mamamoo, CLC, Blackpink, Gidle, Everglow
Girl crush (teen crush version): Weki Meki, ITZY, Cherry Bullet, Rocket Punch, Cignature
Dreamy/soft: Lovelyz, Gfriend, some WJSN releases, Izone
The most original are probably RV with the dual concept (red = quirky and upbeat and velvet = sultry and sensual) and Twice (fluctuates between fresh/cute and more classy/chic). But basically everything in kpop is done at this point.
yes, kpop is generic lol. its all about riding trends. the tropical house plague, the instrumental chorus plague, the messy edm break down plague ect ect. there is indeed a general lack of originality in kpop bc of its mass produced nature. thats a given. every single concept a group comes out with isn't automatically completely void of uniqueness tho and that was not what i was trying to say. there have been plenty of groups that were able to put a spin on certain concepts and make it smtg they were known for. i recall when aoa popped off with songs like miniskirt and like a cat. those were sexy concepts but they added smtg that is still to this day distinctly theirs. other girl group releases i felt achieved something similar recently were loona's butterfly, everglow's bon bon chocolat, and the group gwsn. it all goes back to the age old discussion of how nothing in art is truly original anymore. but its about what you add on top of it. i mean not to be biased, but i feel like bts does this the best.

but to be honest, both of those concepts are generic in their own way. treasure's entire shtick from the vid to the mid 2000s kpop sounding song is something any bg could do, is something other bgs have done. the same goes for the concept the boyz are doing there. its just another "dark" bg concept with nothing revolutionary added to make it something that you would automatically accredit to them. i feel like i can say this objectively bc i actually do enjoy both of those songs. but i can see that its just another cycling through of common kpop bg tropes that are trendy. half of the bgs out ar doing "fresh" concepts and half are doing "dark/edgy" concepts. thats just the state of bgs right now. thats what people mean when they say generic.
i do think people throw around the term generic loosely as hell. i remember people calling bts' bwl generic when no other bg has rlly done a concept exactly like that and it wasn't exactly the generic pop song people pretend it was. it was more pop funk leaning towards a bruno mars esque direction than bubblegum pop like many people would have you believe. but most of these comments from kpop stans come from a lack of understanding of genre nuances as well as a certain value they place on some concepts over others even subconsciously.

why do you think? not only has yg's image as a company been completely ruined but the group's image is also is shambles after b.i's scandal and leave paired with the company's decision to keep the songs he produced as well as his voice in the cb. im sure even their fans are unhappy with how things have been handled and kfans are known to boycott and protest very successfully. its not that hard to put 2 and 2 together. ikon has also always had fluctuating success on the charts. sometimes they release a song that hits and sometimes they don't.

people used to talk mad shit about his looks and some still do, but lbr, girlies who sit online and claim he's ugly would be all over him if he was a non celeb they saw irl. bts' greatest strength with their visuals is that they look like real people. something about them makes them seem approachable on a level some other idols just aren't.

idg what exactly you were expecting? none of those groups were suddenly going to chart super well just bc its a bit of an empty house in terms of big contenders.. when their stans say bloodbath they mean in terms of music shows and who's going to get the most attention in general

Lmao I love how people just love to shit on SM for attempting to monopolize the music market when BIg Hit is literally doing the same thing? Albeit a lot less work because they have the benefit of picking up groups that are already established.
Seventeen doesn’t need a convoluted story verse pls, my gosh I would scream. Pls they have a great concept, I would appreciate more subunit comebacks tho
how many times do we have to say as of now pledis is not being bought for yall to stop trying to shade bh/bts. like.

are u legit just being salty bc a fandom of another group dont like a new app being used.. just bc the app is made by(?) bighit so u feel a need to defend it? lmao who the fuck cares oh my god let them BE fandoms gonna be fandoms u dont need to defend everything that has any little connection to bighit u know
idk how you read anything i said as saltiness. i am just trying to clear up misinformation being spread by people who have clearly never used the app and having a discussion. i prob am being a bit defensive, but, like, this is a platform that txt bts and gfriend and fans are having a lot of fun with. people trashing it without even knowing anything makes me feel some type of way i admit
you sure love to nitpick everything i do on this forum
