Bc...its literally his job to write about it? Lol. He receives gifts and calls from companies to write about their groups now. Fandom clout or clout from the artists for being a "billboard journalist". Its all the same.

Are you still in 2017/18 or what lol. He's been just as shady towards bts and hops from group to group for the clout. All these self proclaimed kpop journalists are like this. They use bts' name to lift up their other little groups bc if they cant make it seem like other groups are popping off in the west they wont have anything to write about.

But wasnt that confusion... bc of sm? They had official accounts not clarifying that only u.s sales would count for the charts until they got called out. And ikran wasnt the only one who wrote that article. I just think its dumb to say shes an anti when what is being criticized is sm's tactics. They could of found something to do.. America is huge. They could of booked more press/promo. 

 

I know now they wanted to perform at the Fact music awards but since that got canceled they could book the iheartradio awards that’s coming up in a month and rehearse for that. 

 

 

bc it wasn't just to perform on music shows? did that part go over your head or do you just have selective reading. bts' schedules are booked sometimes a full year in advance. no, they can't just "find smtg to do" at the snap of their fingers. no, they can't just cancel the flights of 100s of people (them and their staff), no they can't just blow off all of the private schedules and practices for a large scale upcoming tour they have planned. thats NOT how the world works. stuff with corona in sk was fairly contained until a singular event that happened only about a week ago made the number of infected sky rocket. idk how you can put it on them to work their plans around something out of their control.

i mean, its all about how much the virus spreads and what other countries end up doing to prevent said spread in the next month. there are actual laws in sk rn to prevent large gatherings and that will not just disappear by april so the cancellation was inevitable. but if say the u.s blocks travel from sk, thats a whole other story.

For music shows, that travel ban is about to hit hard for the time being.  They shoulda just stayed in America! But by the summer the virus will probably be under control

their first u.s tour dates are at the very end of april...why would they stay in the u.s where they do not live and have nothing to do for 2 months? they were going to have other events in korea too which inevitably got canceled bc of this shit. 

um, idk what armys you see saying wings is bts' best album. sounds like you're having quite the fever dream. 

big bang and shinhwa. all the other groups i've kind of stanned in the past but dropped i still miss a lot like infinite and lovelyz. 

yall literally have no idea what you're talking about. getting an mp3 version of the album along with a vinyl version of the album is not the same as getting a digital download for charting purposes when buying concert merch as cheap as $2 stickers.....

Bts were not involved in the album physical copy creation it’s okay.... this is objectively low quality environmental friendly or not and bts themselves and armys deserve better. I promise you there is no crime in criticizing what a company does learn to separate it from criticism towards bts 

but why is not being as upset about smtg as others and having a different, more positive opinion being a company stan? can't we have our own opinions that we form from thinking critically? you don't have to like the photobook, but i don't mind it. thats doesn't make me a company stan for not hating everything bh does. theres so much talk about it being a scam and so lq but its rlly not? the album is only as expensive as it is in u.s retailers bc they add the price of shipping/importing to the album. its only $3 more than persona was for a similar amount of pics. i agree that some of the pics are a little too dark on the paper, and the image quality itself did go down bc of the pixel ratio of the larger images combined with the paper. but people rlly act like they sit there and look at their photobook everyday. i thought we as kpop fans admitted that we buy physical albums for collectors purposes. most people dont even use the cds... the outrage just seems a little overboard to me personally but people have a right not to like it. its just weird to see people in this thread in particular who don't even have the album in hand and aren't going to buy it popping in to say their piece. 

does...anyone even open up the photobook after they buy the album? at least you can actually use the pics as a poster if you want. the paper doesn't look like newspaper quality to me but i don't have the physical album so. it reminds me of a few kpop albums that had postcards instead of a photobook

their melon UL are the highest first hour of all time lol

i will give it an 8/10. the only thing i miss is like rlly upbeat happy songs like gogo or anpanman. but i'm glad bts did what they wanted with this one. its one of their most cohesive albums to date lol

It it can come off as cheap and is typically done when a producer or vocal engineer/Mixer or master is terrible at their job! This has actually been an issue with a few of BTS songs for me recently. Why are some of their recent ballads and low tempo songs full of auto tune! 

how are you differentiating between songs where its a stylistic choice and songs where you think its not...bc clearly its a stylistic choice for bts. if you think any of their recent songs sound cheap bc of some vocal processing that you personally dont like idk what to tell you. you don't have to like their musical choices, but all yall can ever talk about is autotune when it comes to them when they're not the only ones that use it this way. everyone uses it period. these hot takes are just so...weird. come up with something else. anything else. 

yall always talking about some autotune like every song you listen to doesn't have vocal effects in some capacity. imagine how tired WE are. 

for an album to reach 1million sales more than half of the sales have to be in the first 2-3 days. we're talking like 700k +

stories like bts' rlly make me believe in fate. there are so many things that could have happened differently. the group could have stayed an 100% underground hip hop based project, the group's lineup could have been completely different, they could have debuted in any other year and been overshadowed by big 3 debuts. but everything aligned so that 7 guys who genuinely love music and genuinely like each other could debut and be set up for success in a way that only they could have stepped into. plenty of groups are talented and have decent songs, but bts rlly bought something different whether everyone sees it or not. 

i mean, at the end of the day only their paychecks speak on how successful they really are. and that is not something any of us will ever know unless a member discloses that info.
