Why isn't LOONA's hype reflected in their numbers
ethereal replied to Marshmallows's topic in Random
loona truly doesn't do "worse than expected"...like, they are a mid tier selling girl group. everglow's views are from ads lol. -
i like loona bc they have good music bias: haseul fav bside: as for 2020 expectations...are they ever coming back at this point

Star Empire debuting new girlgroup this October! #Ariaz
ethereal replied to punknight's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
star empire and starship are not the same company.... -
superm is a marketing ploy almost solely for the purpose of boosting nct tho lol. most of the members in the group are from nct, mark and taeyong got the most lines in jopping, nct is still actively going to be doing u.s promos while superm promos. its not a reboot as much as it is a promotion scheme.

1) its clearly more than just "posting on social media". it says "participate in online/OFFLINE promotion" right there... 2)i don't understand why they feel the need to try and officiate fan culture in the first place when, like you said, fans already do this. they promote shit on social media and hold events and vote on polls and this and that. why is sm trying to make it a company organized effort? that ruins the whole point imo. 3) whether extorting minors is their intention or not, the fact that they dont have an age limit on this and don't care if they get minors involved is worrying enough. they rlly don't care. and even tho the op of the tweet i posted mentioned some kind of benefits for people who join this the actual announcement doesn't say anything about receiving anything.... the whole thing is just weird
-
oh i'm well aware of that. doesn't mean i can't say my piece tho
-
not sure who you're trying to shade but how is it "obsession" to discuss one of the biggest companies in an industry we all stan, especially with everything they're up to lately. its just bants my dude. everything sm does in the u.s is going to affect the u.s perception of kpop.
-
i'd assume if it was paid they'd mention that somewhere in the announcement. they don't even have an age limit or anything and that would be important info when this is accessible to minors who would be protected by minor labor laws....
-
this seems a little sketchy...like, dont these companies pay promoters ect, yet sm is sitting here trying to insentivize fans into doing more than they are obligated to do as fans?

bh already said they were coming back in late october tho. so txt will likely cb before bts

i didn't realize it at the time but thinking back on it my mom's friend invited us to one of those product parties mlms host where its a party solely for the purpose of selling products. i thought it was weird back then but i never realized it was an mlm thing. the products were from arbonne, a well known mlm. idk if my mom's friend tried to get her to become a seller tho.

the quality of kpop has been dying for ages now. singular trends taking the entire market by storm and leading to multiple groups doing the same genre and general concept for months upon months was bound to start hurting kpop's overall enjoyability to a lot of older fans eventually.
