  1. Sounded a little weak for SM but it’s not a vocal heavy song. I think Winter and Ningnings voices are still developing. The song was heavily processed so it’s hard to tell what they really sound like, also not a very vocally challenging song coming from SM maybe they will release a song that shows off there vocals more soon.
  2. A main vocal from SM with that nasal placement....yikes. I do think a lot of Chinese idols have more shallow placements and that might be because because of the intonation of the language as a Chinese person myself but . But her placement does sound a lot more shallow and forced than former sm main vocals. Maybe it’s a stylistic trend in kpop
  3. *mezzo, alto is not a voice type but yeah question mark because it’s a grain of salt but it gives me hope lol
  4. https://twitter.com/archive_aespa/status/1321830294178172931?s=21 Actual Alto incoming?!?!!
  5. Yeah unfortunately Jisoo on the other hand I think is already experiencing damage, you can already hear on the new album as they give her more "difficult" parts(BPs songs are easy to sing but her upper range is complete strain and tension and they are having her hit a lot of c5s) and given that she has no sense of connection either. I can see her ending up like Dara/Jimin in that eventually her voice will just consist of a single head voice complete nasal placement and strain?(like Dara below) Which Is sad because I do like her tone the most in BP the most even tho she has no support or proper placement. If she had accepted that SM offer and was able to support she would grow that tone
  6. Question: Since in this generation there are groups in the industry who's "vocalists" have nearly no understanding of vocal pedagogy, about how long will it take them to get acute vocal damage to the point where they get nodules or have to stop singing? (especially given constant promotions, world tours, ironically it seems YG artists recieve virtually no proper vocal training yet they seem to rely on live feed vocals much more than sm groups, yikes)
  7. Blackpink sing like they have clothespins on their noses and it’s a shame because jisoo has a really naturally unique tone that is rare in Koop and it would sound really good if she used proper vocal technique but instead she’s just gonna destroy her voice and become more and more nasal and thin until she turns into this. And jisoo was accepted into SM, what a shame :(
  8. why did i get banned from the bashing thread?
  9. Random but does anyone know who this girl is? Is she a trainee?
  10. so blackpink has no average vocalists? Is rose considered weak-average? From how I hear them it's Rose>Jennie>>Lisa>>>Jisoo
