    Episode 3 & 4 Rating

16.3% for only Ep. 4!! Nice!! :ahmagah: :ahmagah: :ahmagah:

Omo, it's breaking record after record, I can see Yong Pal becoming the next You Who Came From The Stars as the super-hit-drama, fighting!

As for the episodes 3&4, I LOVED THEM. I can already see, and most importantly feel the chemistry between Taehyun and Yeojin. I'm relieved actually because I think many of us feared there wouldn't be any. But if we felt the chemistry in the scenes when they don't even touch and one of them is uncounscious or wants to commit suicide, the rest is a given. I'm glad Kim Tae Hee and Joo Won deliver.

And about Kim Tae Hee, a lot of us also feared she woulnd't keep up with Joo Won's acting skills but so far she is doing surprisingly well. The scene when she tells that she wants to kill everyone who put her in sleep or when she tries to tell Taehyun that she can hear him really impressed me. I hope she keeps it up.

Waiting for episode 5 will kill me. End of the story.

  2. Well, I don't really know what to say about the finale, because we literally got NO closure. Apart from the REAL kiss for Jian and Hyun and finally finding each other all the other subplots remained unanswered. I felt like this finale was only the last chapter of Part 1 or something. Definitely seems like they're aiming for season 2 or continuation, because Lee Joonyoung is on the run, Hyun and Jian want to hunt him down and Min's dilemma is unresolved. I hope KBS picks it up despite the low ratings, I'm eagerly waiting for Part 2 now :ahmagah:  Anyway, great drama, great plot, great characters, great developments. As I said, waiting :rlytearpls:

  3. I just saw the first two episodes and I lover it! such a good pace. So nice to see Jo Hyun Jae again because I love him so much in 49 days and for Jung Woong In, I love his villain role acting in I hear your voice. Joo Won crying in the hospital during his mother scene was perfect...so emotional. Kim Tae Hee is beautiful and I agree with you guys when she woke up with that lipstick and her dark long hair!! Stunning!! :ilove: :ilove: :ilove:

For the OST, I hear The One's voice in the preview. But whoever it is, can't wait for the full release because it sounds beautiful!

oh right, now that I listened to it and The One's previous OST from Secret Door back and forth it really sounds like him, either way waiting for release  :ahmagah:

and that's so true, she looks like a Snow White here, bloody Snow White :rlytearpls:  overall I love the fairytale-esque setting of this drama - Yeojin-Rapunzel and Taehyun-Prince Charming on their way next week, hoping both Joo Won and Tae Hee will deliver amazing chemistry :hurr:

  4. I liked the second episode more than the first, just how good it was :rlytearpls: replayed this scene when Kim Tae Hee wakes up a few times, she really did look like a goddess there, and how creepy of that nurse to treat her like a doll. Can't wait for next week and moment when Yeo Jin joins the fun, from the preview it seems like she'll wake up but still remain incarcerated in her 'tower'. Can't wait for their first meeting and the release of that OST from the ending, it's beautiful

  5. oh well, that was a very intense ride for a 1st episode :ahmagah:  I'm officially in love with Yong Pal, my guts were right about this drama being something special. I'm surprised that so many things already happened because pilots are mostly used to build a world the characters live in which is not the case here, because the gears were put in motion as I imagine it will go like this: Taehyun will be caught, evil chief will assign him to Yeojin, she'll wake up and from there straight up juicy revenge-story and epic love-story.

I'm glad there's something I can look forward to every week besides I Remember You which is ending next week, hope Yong Pal keeps up to my expectations :hurr:

PS. That OST Girl's instagram, the one posted earlier has been deleted, I wonder what happened. Also about OST, I really like the song they played during the ending. I kinda know this voice but can't place him anywhere...

  6. oh my, what a great episode :rlytearpls:  so many things happened, but most importantly revelation about Ji An's dad, I won't lie, my eyes watered when she cried and then that comforting hug by Hyun. Speaking of which, what I like about this drama is that the romance between leads isn't forced and another subplots don't have to be sacrificed on its cost, they're getting to know and care for each other and words aren't necesarry in their case, but their actions. Also finally the female lead that is worth being admired by all men around her, I just hope she doesn't get hurt in tonight's episode

  7. These last scenes with Min Sook (which is a hella cute name because Min(woo) + (Ji)sook :ahmagah: ) warmed up my heart so much, overall I really really liked this finale, even the shocking plot-twist with Mi Yeon. I fell like she turned out to be the most hurt and damaged victim in this story, too bad she ended up like that.

Nevertheless, I loved loved loved Mask, OST, lead actors, literally eveything including little bumps in narration and makjang plotlines, my favourite Kdrama of the 2015 at the moment, I'll miss it :rlytearpls:

  8. I saw that too! Super excited!

The tags have gayoon and junhyung's names. I'm thinking he might have made the song and she's singing it. Idk but :ahmagah:

yeah, that's a crucial proof :rlytearpls:

everything matches with hashtags 'cube' and 08.05 date so I'm really hoping it's true, and yeah, he might have produced it but also rapped, I think we'll know everything in a week

Gosh, now I'm even more excited, sad that Mask ended since it was my favourite drama of 2015 so far but really hyped up for Yong Pal though :ahmagah: I hope it lives up to my expectations like its predecessor :)

  9. okay, so first Oh My Ghost, and now Mask, the steamiest, most romantic and REALESTICALLY-looking kiss I've seen in a kdrama since a long time ago (excluding Oh My Ghost ofc), this OTP is one of the most endearing and mesmerizing leading couples, you can't help but ship them :rlytearpls:

also I'm glad that angst and heartache lasted so short, I hope that Minwoo and Jisook will finally stop Sukhoon now that they realized their love and live happily ever after :ahmagah:

  10. Welcome^^ Officially it's 7, but some Mnet staff said that they didn't exclude the idea to change that amount. That gave us hope, probably too much hope tbh xD Let's hope JYP has a very hard time picking the members too so we might really get more than 7.

yeah, JYP's SNSD would be really nice, we need another big girl group from Big 3 since YG is supposedly debuting 5-member group and SM is still harvesting their new Girls Generation

I think that the places from 1. to 9. in the online ranking would make quiet a great line-up.

  11. Seok Hoon got creepier when you’d think it’s impossible to be any creepier than he already is, when he reveals himself as a reincarnation of Raskolinkov in ep 8, i gotta say that these two characters are in fact really similar in their motives at least

Also his “I don’t like your…†were so swoon-inducing, like it was the most romantic confession I’ve heard in a drama since forever, even though you knew it was going to end with “I don’t like your lipsâ€.

As for Hoya's acting, this is the first time I've seen him act and I gotta say that he's decent, not on BEAST Doojoon's level, but also not on Hyeri's, if we compare the acting idols. His last scene when he begs Jisook to stop him from murdering Jung Tae was really heartbreaking, both him and Soo Ae did it really well.

  12. Jisook seemed really unhappy and miserable these last few episodes, but I understand it because honestly, who wouldn't fell overwhelmed and scared in a household like this with a psycho murdurer, his evil hateful wife and parents-in-law who seem to only throw obstacles in your way? but the last few minutes of episode 8 were the awaited return of Jisook's strenght and will to fight for the ones she loves, I hope she keeps it up from now on.

  13. ^ i agree with all of you, if they kept the story and lovelines simple and Eun Byul returned earlier, I think everyone would have gotten what they wanted, proper development and compelling story, as I said, if they did more (or earlier) with the matters they only touched upon like the psycho teacher and budding bromance between Tae Kwang and Yi Ahn (more like moments of what could it look like) this drama would easily become one of the best of the year

well, yeah, instead we got this trainwreck

  14. So after lurking in this thread since the very first episodes finally decided to write something now that it ended.

Well, I just watched the finale and I'm a bit sad, not because my ship hadn't sailed or the drama had ended, but because dissapointingly I found myself suferring throughout all the last episode. I was literally watching some scenes with fingers before my eyes, because I couldn't force myself to look at the screen. And I'm sad, because when this drama took off, I was sure it would become my all time favourite.

Not going to elaborate on characters, but I have to pinpoint that Yi Ahn was a pain in the ass these few last weeks, not entirely Nam Joo Hyuk's fault, but he didn't help Yi Ahn become more likable with his wooden two expressions. As for Eun Bi, nothing to say here, because despite Kim So Hyun's superb acting she was really really bland and felt more like an instrument to stir a war between the Yi Ahn and Tae Kwang, and of course their ships, at least these last few weeks. Tae Kwang and Eun Byul were my favourite characters and I don't want to talk about their mistreatment in the last episode, because everytime I think about it, I want to fly to Korea and feed the writers with a poisoned kimchi.

When it comes to writing of this drama, there's a lot to desire, in fact I think it was actually (at least the second half of School 2015) as bad as the floppest flop of the flops and its predecessor, Blood. The development of Eun Bi stopped around the ninth episode, Yi Ahn didn't really have any development(to what he would actually need to have any character), Tae Kwang and Eun Byul at least in this department got a proper closures, with his parents for Tae Kwang and literally everyone in her life for Eun Byul. It didn't help much though because there is still nonsensical, completely anticlimatic and very played-safe ending to Soo In's case that came as bad as the last fight between the evil and the good in Blood.

Still bitter that they seemed to forget about Eun Byul's hallucinations as soon as she came back. Looking back, I think that this drama would be a lot better if the writers did what everyone and their mothers wanted and paired Eun Byul with Yi Ahn and Eun Bi with Tae Kwang, not because these are my ships and they have to happen, but because if they did so, there would be a lot more time to spend on the other storylines that got shoved aside. I think that what would save this drama would be an earlier return of Eun Byul, let's say around ninth episode. That wat they would have time on developing her relationship with Yi Ahn, her mental problems, Eun Bi's strenght to stand on her own feet, Tae Kwang would get his closure with his parents earlier and focus on himself, hell even the psycho teacher from the last episode could have been introduced earlier and made the school aspect of the drama more interesting, especially if you compare him and his methods of teaching with Teacher Kim. That I think would create a great philosophical conflict about two different aproaches to who teacher should be.

My next big complaint is writers' pandering and intentional stirring up the war between the camps of YiBi and TaeBi, they've obviously seen the emotions the triangle was bringing all this time and purposefully played with it, throwing Eun Bi between the time continously. Truthfully, it felt like the writers changed the ending every two episodes, they even abandoned the obvious plot twist with Yi Ahn grabbing the both medals in episode 14 just for YiBi to happen at the end (btw the ending scene would be really cute and romantic if Yi Ahn wasn't so irritating). In the end, I wouldn't even be surprised if there would appear another Eun sister making them the triplets. If that was the case, Eun Bi had better never go on vacation or anywhere, because who knows? maybe Yi Ahn would shift his feelings to her if Eun Bi wasn't in Seoul for month.

Also the editing in this chapter was so bad, it at the same time felt like they tried to squeeze in it as much of a story as possible, simultaneously not having enough material to cover the one hour episode lasts for. For example, I cringed so much during the scene with crying Tae Kwang in the car, not because of Sungjae's acting, because he was as wonderful as always, but because of the pointless flashback to his dad's words that we heard like two minutes ago. I think it would look better if they did only a voiceover or anything, but not a full on flashback. So cringeworthy and utterly bad.

To summarise, despite its drawbacks I found myself pretty captivated and waiting for every Monday, however I regret that I waited mostly for a triangle to resolve and not for a wonderful mystery story to unfold. Well, all in all, I think everything won with this drama, whatever the reception of it is. People (if they already didn't) learned about Kim So Hyun's outstanding acting skills and I don't see her jobless after School 2015 anytime soon, Sungjae skyrocketed to the super stardom thanks to this drama and his not stereotypical idol-actor image, with his looks and personality he is the current 'it boy' of Korea, even the KBS won because Who Are You - School 2015 revived the ratings for its timeslot, doubling the ones earned by terribad Blood. Only Nam Joo Hyuk seems not to be at the receiving ending of the stick, because everyone knows now that his acting sucks and he proved that the company behind you isn't all if you don't have a talent to back yourself up (even Ra Jin's child actress and her orphanage friends were a better actors than him to tell the truth), well at least his character got the girl as a some kind of a consolation price.

I don't think I will go back to this drama, maybe only to see Sungjae's cuts, if he doesn't get any new drama project soon. But honestly, I don't think he'll stay from dramaland for long, because unlike Nam Joo Hyuk I can totally see him full-time leading a primetime drama in a near future. I'll think about School 2015 as a drama of very talented cast with Kim So Hyun, Yook Sungjae, Lee Pil Mo etc., but with a poor execution. Watching in once in a life is enough for me.

PS. Sorry for such a long rant as my first post. I couldn't help but spill it somewhere, hope you don't mind guys  :hurr:
