then we're on two totally different pages. you'd have more appreciation for r&b than I would since it's not a genre I frequent or particularly like. i rarely frequent rock music as well. i listen to pink floyd, led zeppelin, breaking benjamin, evanescence, and some some of flyleaf/paramore/tatu's rock songs as well as a few others (some screamo) but it's not a fave genre. I much prefer 80's music (Both the sugary pop bops with meaningless hooks & dark songs) and I'd much rather have Red Velvet venture down that route.

the problem with automatic is not that it's bad, but that it's forgettable. i can't even remember the tune.

I wish I had woken up eariler to give my 2 ¢. The song is okay. I wouldn't call it bad, but as someone previously mentioned it's very "uninspired" which makes it sound humdrum. Like Be Natural, I will end up liking it more for its choreo, lives & styling rather that its musicality. I can't really say why I'm personally not drawn to the song, but like the expression says, all that glitters is not gold. nice visuals, nice choreo, and their voices are beautiful, but that doesn't always make a song excite me. I'm more excited for the live stages. However, I don't think SM is stupid, and I don't think he would purposefully put forth a song that he knows a lot of target audiences will find "boring" in comparison to other releases. ICC is going to be a song that will appeal more to the masses. Seuljoy did great, Joy is killing this concept with her pinky toe. Seulgi doesn't impress me as much as Joy because I don't think she's as multifarious as Joy, but her voice is so beautiful, and she seems to have a knack for these kinds of sensuous concepts. Irene kind of disappointed me.. she's so beautiful, and her styling/persona is totally arrogant, so she could have done a lot more to exude that arrogance rather than simply being a (super) pretty face. Wendy has a nice style, but she doesn't have charisma. She has the kind of personality that's very typical here in America, but she didn't capture the essence of sensuality, she was awkward. Her styling seemed wild and rebellious, but from the MV she gave me more of Seulgi's "classy vibe", and in a concept like this where you already have a song that's isn't as strong as its members/concept the last thing you want to do is be a cookie-cutter gg. I didn't really notice Yeri.. the bashing thread should go into the toilet bc it's sh*t. that's the only place that "accepts unpopular opinions", but of course people get banned for saying their opinions anyway. it's not really a bashing thread, but a "bashing thread for the people/opinions we want in our bashing thread" kind of thread.

I guess I just wouldn't personally ever do red ombre. I have seen instagram photos of red ombre done nicely, but it's always a darker shade of red. since SM was going for a bright concept, red isn't a colour that evokes happiness, it's a passionate colour and bright red ombre looks a little kitsch since it's such an elegant colour while blue, green and pink are more playful so they look good in brighter shades.
