  1. Really? I for one found this one of the worst RM eps unfortunately. As some of you guys mentioned already, way too many guests like the 100 vs 100 ep and it didn't feel like the RM we know and love at all (felt like IC and Gag Concert). For me personally, I dont find these gags funny, because the humour is way too forced and unnatural. I know Korea love their slapstick comedy and impersonations of people, but they may have offended some people (not me just saying). When one of tje female comedians was imitating Jihyo, Jihyo seemedto jardly find it funny. Who can blame her, it was terrible. There was also another incident of a woman impersonating and African-American women. Some say it's racist (which it isn't really) but it's just not funny. I wish RM was a bit more sensitive with these matters though, esp keeping in mind they have an international audience. This was the first ep where I couldn't get through the whole ep, which is a shame. I stopped after the Ddakji (not the most entertaining game to watch it must be said) cause it felt boring. Hoping next week picks up the pace. Fingers crossed.
  2. Those two 100 vs 100 eps are amongst the worst I've ever seen. And I've seen well over half of the 272 eps. YJS tried his heart out and did a commendable job, but interviewing every single guest that came on was never going to be interesting. It was boring to watch and I can only imagine how boring it was for some of those guests (who looked bored out of their word for most of it). The only saving grace was the bboys dancing, but that came in like what, the second half of the second ep? Too little too late. As already mentioned, it wasn't even a 100 vs 100, it was 80 vs 92. Wait, not even cause it was over 3 battles and you can't use the same guests or cast for a new battle, so essentially 3 25 vs 30 or something like that. This was also mentioned, but if both teams were really set on winning, why not tank a game an then go all out for the other two? Put out one person for one and then 40 or 50 for the other two... I think another problem with Running Man is thy guests are only coming to promote themselves, and not for the Running Man experience. I think that's why a lot of the guest singers sang a bit and whatnot..
  3. 5m views for Get Some Air! In just 47 days!!! The most viewed Gary/LeeSSang video!!! And all this without any promotions or performances of any kind. And with a mv that doesn't star Gary himself or have any obvious reasons to rewatch the mv again and again... :ahmagad: Unless you're like me and you listen to it everyday lol. I hope Gary realises that he doesn't need to release overly sexual music or mvs for it to be successful. This mv was as plain and simple as they come (in black and white too) yet I did it so engrossing and easy to watch again and again. I know he doesn't release Shower Later or Butt for attention and to chart well, but all their best songs aren't like that IMHO (except turned off the TV). To me, this is the song of the year.
  4. I see thanks. Funny that they're all non-idols lol. Is Gary nominated for album of the year?
  5. only 3 nominees? I don't know much about MAMA. I know you have to attend to win the award, but why do they always have problems with idols and artists attending each year? I mean, if you're gonna win an award, wouldn't you want to attend? and yeah it would be lovely if he won and attended
  6. 1) Why doesn't Jihyo like showing her house? The more she refuses to, the more curious I get
  7. http://www.melon.com/chart/index.htm Zion T went down and then went back up. Does that mean that Taeyeon was no.1 for a bit?
  8. https://instagram.com/kang_gary8888/ I'm quite concerned. This is the second (?) time Gary has gone and deleted nearly all his IG photos. The only photos left are about his cap brand HALYANG, and the relase of his two solo albums. Is he upset about something? I recall a previous Twitter post of his about some pay dispute in the industry or something remotely on those lines? On a lighter note, it does seem to be an effective strategy for getting a lot of hearts on a photo, 1.5m that's insane
  9. They're all here: http://forums.soompi.com/en/topic/5032-park-shin-hye-ë°•ì‹ í˜œ/

  11. Man Crush Monday: Ji Chang Wook’s Seo Jung Hoo in “Healer†akinahana89 March 1, 2015 Seo Jung Hoo. Park Bong Soo. Healer. Whichever name he decides to use, Ji Chang Wook‘s character in “Healer†has completely captured my heart.Completely. I used to laugh at how cute Soompiers were by always telling me my man crush of the week is “more than just a Monday crush. He’s myeveryday crush!†But now, I know. Now, I understand. And I just want to say that I hear you, Soompiers! It might be strange that after more than a decade of dramas, my most perfect man turns out to be such a recent one – as in three weeks ago recent – but if you knew Seo Jung Hoo, then you’d understand. Wouldn’t you? Of course, I didn’t say that he’s perfect because he’s truly without flaws. After all, where’s the fun in that? I say that because his flaws are part of what makes him beautiful and head over heels crush worthy. There is so much I can say in praise for “Healer†and Seo Jung Hoo, but I’ll settle for simply stating that “Healer†has dramatically raised the bar for all future dramas and I fully expect to wait another decade or so before seeing one that will come as close to my definition of perfection as this drama. But instead of simply taking my word for it, we should let Seo Jung Hoo speak for himself. If you haven’t fallen for his charms, then you will after this! (Spoilers ahead.) 1. He’s hilarious. Unintentionally so, which is the best type of hilarious to be. I guess we can’t really blame him since he’s never been a people person… until Chae Young Shin, that is. Running away in sheer terror from a hoard of women who only wants to dress him up for an undercover mission, attempting to peel potatoes with an alien object that confuses him (It’s called a peeler, Jung Hoo! And it’s a wonderful invention!), and peeling the outer layers of an onion like he’s actually carving into an apple are just some of his funny antics. Oh, let’s not forget that prankster Young Shin tricks him into touching his eyes with fingers full of onion juice. LOL. His facial expressions during those precious moments can make anyone fall over laughing, but none are as knee slapping as his shocked and startled faces. The Healer fans call it his “WTF face.†Here’s just one example of many: 2. Seo Jung Hoo is simplistic. All he wants is a deserted island! How much more simple can he get? Okay, okay. That’s actually pretty complicated, but Seo Jung Hoo had already acquired 64% of the funds he needed to buy his own island. Pretty ambitious and hardworking, eh? He doesn’t really enjoy his job as a night courier; it just pays well and helps him build his ultimate goal of kicking back and relaxing all by his lonesome, surrounded by sand and waves. When he meets Chae Young Shin though, Seo Jung Hoo’s dream becomes even more simple – to live a normal life. He wants to be like other everyday people. Settle down. Get married. Have children. Hold a normal job. Spend his days with the love of his life. Be happy. This time, truly, how much more simple can he get? He’s not picky at all about the material items and he only needs Young Shin by his side. That’s all he needs to feel fully and completely content. A nice bonus would be Jo Min Ja, lovingly referred to as “ahjumma,†and Kim Moon Ho‘s presence and friendship. Together, the four creates a perfect team – their own little Healer family. 3. He’s the perfect blend of Seo Jung Hoo, Park Bong Soo, and Healer. Although he’s stuttering Park Bong Soo by day and fierce Healer by night, Seo Jung Hoo isn’t always putting on an act. He possesses qualities from all three of his identities, molding him into one gorgeous male. Gorgeous inside and out, that is. He has the vulnerabilities and loneliness of Seo Jung Hoo, the confidence and intelligence of Healer, and the awkward innocence of Park Bong Soo. There is absolutely no way to pinpoint which traits are his best or which part of him is my most favorite because all of his qualities mesh together so well. He wouldn’t be who he is if any aspect of him changes and I can say with 100% certainty that I’m glad he was consistent and developed from beginning to end. P.S. Seo Jung Hoo didn’t even need to consider anger management classes like so many other male leads! He’s not nasty, foul-tempered, or short fused just because he could be. Ever. Wow, daebak (awesome)! 4. Seo Jung Hoo doesn’t suffer the Noble Idiocy Disease. But then, neither does Chae Young Shin! Which makes the two of them a perfect, perfect match. There has been misunderstandings and consideration for each others’ well being. There has been doubt and the uncertainty on whether to trust or distrust each other. There has been a lingering fear that they’ll only bring each other harm. But never, never, never did Seo Jung Hoo and Chae Young Shin allow that to deter their relationship in any way. Instead, they take time apart from each other to carefully consider the situation then they talk to each other about it. Open, honest, emotionally raw conversations. Hey, who knew such a thing existed in Dramaland! And who knew problems could actually get solved this way! Leave it to two young people entering their first relationship to show the world how it’s done! It’s no wonder I totally love this OTP. 5. Seo Jung Hoo has smooth moves. Scaling the walls. Jumping from rooftop to rooftop. Crashing through windows in the blink of an eye. Taking on a dozen men all by himself. Surprise visiting his girlfriend by using her window as an entryway. Fighting through the effects of sedatives like a real champion. Seo Jung Hoo totally sizzles whenever he leaps into action, especially since he’s so polite about it at the same time. I couldn’t help but chuckle when he apologized to the mother and child he startled when he cut across their living room for a shorter route to his destination or when he thanks President Hwang after giving him a much deserved beating and breaking into his safe for an external hard drive. I’ve never been a big fan of baseball caps and all black ensembles, but on Seo Jung Hoo, it’s undeniably swoon worthy and even Park Bong Soo’s adorably clean and neat outfits are no comparison. BonusIntense stares. Boyish grins. Charm and charisma. Odd terms of endearment. High up places. First snowfall. Small hands. White bedding. Hair. The sound of camera shutters. Large hands. Smiling eyes. Big embraces. Things I don’t like? Everything that keeps me away from the very things I like. What about you, Soompiers? What are the things you like and don’t like about Seo Jung Hoo? Let me know in the comments below! (And don’t forget to start those nominations again!) http://www.soompi.com/2015/03/01/man-crush-monday-ji-chang-wooks-seo-jung-hoo-in-healer/
  12. 1) How do I tag people? 2) Why can't you see who upvoted or downvoted your posts? This anonymous system of voting is not good, either make it like AKP's where you can see who upvotes or downvotes you (more accountability, less bs to hide from) or abolish neg voting.
  13. I was kidding but seriously, don't leave me like that, you scared me :( haven't we already got all the translated fan questions from SJN?
  14. Why am I the only one posting here? Is this thread dead now?? Y'all fake Healer fans ditched me!
  15. Dramabeans Podcast #27: The Healer edition by javabeans | February 14, 2015 | 17 Comments Hello everybody! It’s been a fun, exhilarating ride with this drama, and now that it’s over girlfriday and I felt it was appropriate to send off Healer with a toast and lots of (blubbering, incoherent) love. We know we’ve all said tons about this show already and maybe non-Healer fans are tired of hearing about it (which is why we separated this podcast out into its own thing, so as to be easily skippable) — but when the heart speaks, we’ve learned it’s best to let it get it all out. One of the perks of evolving past dinosaur-brain-hood! So grab a glass and join us, why don’t you? Podcast #27 Running time: (1:18:57) In which we: Ramble about Healer. Drink. 17. Kolorful Palette: Healed [Healer] by Fanderay | February 14, 2015 | 41 Comments Over the last year I’ve left so many dramas unfinished that it feels a bit surreal to enjoy one all the way through to its conclusion, and then feel that bittersweet emptiness when the credits finally roll. Perhaps Healer wasn’t perfect, but it was always consistent and hit me in all the right spots. It did a lot of things right, but what made it really stand out was that it did so little wrong. Birth secrets and tortured pasts without incessant moping or repetitive flashbacks? A compelling love story without a love triangle or circumstances absurdly tearing the leads apart? I’d like some more of that please. I watched the last four episodes in one sitting (I prefer to binge when it comes to dramas) and I initially planned on drawing a scene from the finale, but I couldn’t resist the cuteness of this shot. It might be hard to tell, but it’s from Episode 18 when Young-shin joins Jung-hoo inside the Elder’s house after he’s drugged with incense. I love that they’ve just gotten through this incredibly stressful situation and are sitting on the floor in a strange place with possible medical attention required, but instead they’re all about snuggle-time. It’s not even dramatic we-just-started-dating-and-can’t-help-ourselves snuggling. It’s just them being comfortable with each other and naturally doing what seems appropriate to them in that moment. They may have attempted to be normal for a while, but they will always have their quirks, and that’s a big part of why they’re perfect for each other. Crazy situations come their way and it doesn’t even faze them. I think a big part of why I love the whole no love triangle thing is that it speeds things up and we get to see more of the real relationship and how these two people actually work as a couple after they’re officially together. In most dramas it’s more about the journey to the beginning of the true relationship, but we don’t get to see much beyond that. Because Young-shin and Jung-hoo are rock solid from early on we get to see how they support each other and how they interact once they’re already comfortable with one another. This scene really showcased that, and I love the way they switch so naturally between more sentimental moments and playfulness. Their whole relationship progression is so much better than a dozen wrist grabs and some push/pull that goes on for ages. Of course none of it would work if Park Min-young and Ji Chang-wook weren’t so great together. This is by far the most comfortable I’ve seen Park Min-young in an onscreen relationship, and I’m curious to see how she performs in her next role to see if she’s just maturing as an actress or if Healer was just the perfect part for her (or perhaps Ji Chang-wook was the perfect man?). I honestly wouldn’t be surprised to find out they’re dating IRL. For those who didn’t watch until the end of the credits, look how cute they are! Ji Chang-wook was no slouch in his role either, and he managed to pull off an extremely multi-faceted character with ease. Bong-soo’s dorkiness and Healer’s derisive looks at deserving thugs never ceased to put a grin on my face, and the merging of Jung-hoo’s personas happened so seamlessly I never even noticed it happening. Such diversity within a character is another thing I’d love to see more of (assuming it’s pulled off equally well and doesn’t feel forced). The actual drawing of this scene turned out to be a bit of a nightmare unfortunately. Usually drawing on the computer is full of perks and tools to make life oh-so-much easier. But then technical problems happen and I want to throw my computer out the window. I won’t go into the details since they won’t make much sense unless you use Corel Painter (and I’m pretty sure I’m the only person on the planet who uses it) but basically I spent 5 hours troubleshooting the problem, only to discover that I had somehow changed a layer setting that was irreversible. For the record, it’s pretty much the only thing in the entire piece of software that’s irreversible, and it was only possible because I was using digital watercolor this week. The end result was that I could no longer use digital watercolor and had to finish with other media (I added a paper texture to make it all combine a little better, and I think it worked?). I’m pretty sure the whole thing happened because I have a sticky key somewhere that contributed to a magical hotkey combination I don’t know about (but pretty much every action has hotkeys in these programs, no matter how ridiculous). I noticed later that the software was acting a bit possessed and changing tools without me pressing anything, so hopefully this doesn’t happen again. It shouldn’t since this could have been avoided if I had just been using iterative saves like an intelligent person instead of just saving over the same file constantly, but I haven’t needed to use a previous save in well over a year and it drives me a bit bonkers having 20 versions of the same file, so I got lazy. Sometimes I swear that technology is sentient and just waits for us to drop our guard. I’d better backup all my photos and important documents before catastrophic hard drive failure strikes! Thankfully I always write my posts after I finish the drawing, and talking about Healer is an excellent way to feel better. I’m even starting to feel positive about all the useful things I learned while troubleshooting! I’m not feeling quite so positive about the previews for Blood but I suppose not every drama can be squee-worthy. Thanks for the ride Healer! I think I needed you. http://www.dramabeans.com/2015/02/kolorful-palette-healed-healer/
  18. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2Ap_dcU5QVoFMYG-aj8kU4XsQC2CBA8W This is a link to the full playlist of the Healer OST soundtrack, which I want to discuss. I absolutely loved the soundtrack, from old faves of Eternal Love (oooooooooooh my loveeeeeeeeeee) to Ben's You, to the emotional and stirring instrumentals Some played a lot more frequently than others, though there might have been a few I hadn't heard before, and this track caught my attention- Youngshin's Dream. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZgHqY1k5kA I don't remember this track playing in the drama and it's a shame because it's so beautiful. I read the post before from SJN answering questions from fans, and how time constraints and costs stopped her from doing some things she would have liked, such as Youngshin releasing her book and more on the interview that Jungho answered for her. If this song played during then, it would have been perfeccctttttt. Oh well One more thing, where are the instrumental tracks for the songs with lyrics?
  19. pg 1077 of the Soompi Healer Thread, and it has pt 2 of SJN's fan questions Anyway I love her answers, so funny haha. Although a lot of her interpretations of how the story unfolded or would unfold in the future (the future of the chracters after ep 20) weren't really hinted or mentioned at all
  20. I want a Healer season 2, though most things of the story seem complete :( Another question lol omg... What if Jungho told CYS that he was Healer early on, and didn't lie to her? I could see this having a number of advantages. 1) More cute moments with no misunderstandings from either party. 2) She can help him on his missions. 3) She wouldn't feel as though her feelings were manipulated as she did when she found out who he really was in ep 13. Just imagine, in ep 6 how she talks to him about her new crush and says that it's a night courier, and instead of being like 15m away from her, he walks about right directly behind her and says to her, "a night courier?" and then she turns around lol. Or the ep 9 telephone convo and how she longs to see Healer, and then he romantically tells her to turn her head and look behind her, and then boom, he's there.
  21. Ji Chang Wook said goodbye to his KBS 2TV Mon-Tues drama 'Healer'! Ji Chang Wook shared on his Instagram on the 9th, "Today..Final filming of 'Healer'!!! Until the end... #SeoJungHoo #ParkBongSoo #Healer #IWon'tForgetIt." 'Healer' Ji Chang Wook took a commemorative snapshot with his script, and also said goodbye to his character Seo Jung Hoo with the short and sweet farewell greeting, "Goodbye..!", on his Instagram on the 10th. Who else will miss 'Healer'? http://www.allkpop.com/article/2015/02/ji-chang-wook-says-he-wont-forget-healer
