The two of them are two of the most popular young male idols in China atm and they both had songs/movies released around the same time and there is always competition for chart rankings and ratings and popularity, etcetc. Also SOME Lu fans put down WYF to make their bias look better like, "They both left EXO but Luhan did it in a much nicer way, he isn't a traitor like WYF" or "WYF doesn't have real singing/dancing talent like Luhan does".
