i nearly had a heart attack, one of the members of my ult boygroup almost died in a car accident, it always tugs at my heartstrings when i hear of idols getting into car accidents, waking up to this (it was literally the first thing i read after waking up) was truly traumatizing,, thankfully no one got hurt /sighofrelief.

i just watched the mv and... i absolutely love it they all looked so good, Yeoreum simply looks like a stunning goddess, Nara though /sobbinghard ,, the mv is really beautiful and v aesthetically pleasing, i honestly didn't like the song at the first listen, but it grew on me, a lot, i've actually put it on loop, Lime and Yeoreum parts are my favourite, it's a grower, and certainly a great yet enjoyable chill summery bop.

ngl but that was quite expected, unless astro pull off a seventeen and release a hit song as Mansae, i honestly doubt they'd get the rookie award, NCT are doing better digitally, and will certainly do better physically as well.

considering that HelloVenus are coming back soon (most-likely August), it's not really surprising that astro are already recording for a song, tho i wonder if it's a follow up song or a repackage album. since fantagio is aiming for the rookie award, they really have to step up their game this time, if NCT and Pentageon ever debuted they'd have quite high physical sales and i highly doubt astro would be able to get the rookie award if so.

'My Style' does suit a different album, but, on the other hand, it indeed truly shows how versatile Astro is as a group, so i'm assuming they included that song in this mini to show a snippet of the sound they're going to go for in the future, dark and mysterious, therefore, we'll most-likely get 'Go Back' and 'Dark Choco Legs' as side-tracks in their upcoming mini albums. i still hope they'd promote 'My Style' as a follow up song tho, i feel like it'll do quite well on charts. he really is talented, he choreographed 'Fireworks' and 'Morning Call' and helped with 'Breathless' point dance, and yess he can sing also, in 'innocent love', i don't know if y'all would agree, but don't you think that the ad-libs towards the end were actually Minhyuk's ?? if you listen closely, you'd notice that the ad-libs coming right after mj's high notes sound different than mj's voice, the voice sounds rather fuller, richer and deeper, whereas mj's voice is lowkey thinner in comparison, and the 2nd ad-lib sounds so much like minhyuk's voice, so im assuming it was minhyuk who sang that part. he's literally the full package honestly, astro's hidden gem.

thoughts abt 'Summer Vibes' Album (im kinda late tho) - Fireworks: i . simply . love . this song, it's beyond good, a v pleasing-sounding pop ballad, mj's parts got me having chills, the rap parts sounded so nice, the part when they sing together is just..beautiful..couldn't find a better word to describe it,, the choregoraphy was effin great, especially during the beginning, sanha's parts and the chorus, the part when the boys plop down on the ground during jinwoo's rap was so cute, and the boys' 99,9 synchronization just added more depth to the choreo, kudos to Minhyuk (im v proud of him ;_;) for creating such a masterpiece of choreography. - Polaris: a very new and unusual sound i have to say, it sounds like a video game soundtrack lel, rocky and eunwoo parts near the middle sounded weird, but they added a delightful touch to the song overall,, this song is a grower, it sounds different, but still, a summery bop nonetheless, im glad the boys are experimenting with new sounds, that would help with their musical growth. - Growing Pains: if 'Spring Up' had 'Innocent Love' as the mini's ballad, 'Summer Vibes' delivered 'Growing Pains', another heavenly-sounding ballad with a beautiful emotional melody, mj's vocals got showcased -once again- through this song, minhyuk's rap part at the ending left me speechless, all in all it's perhaps one of my favourite k-ballads to ever exist, i feel like we'll get blessed with great ballad material whenever astro makes a comeback. - My Style: again.... just... BeautifALL [mj's voice], the long-awaited hidden tbc's bgm is finally here and it sounds utterly beautiful, very dark, highkey angsty, moonbin's highnote followed by sanha's then myungjun's, what kind of vocal slayage?? jinwoo's rap part near the ending got me scalped, and the instruments at the end, what on earth was that?? what kind of ear-blessing?? it sounded like a symphony with a glorious harmony, i got goosebumps. honestly this song needs its own mv, and it needs to be promoted as a follow-up song it's way too good to be left as a neglected side-track. - Breathless: moving on to the title track, i loved the song, it sounds refreshing and v summery, i've already put it on an infinite loop, the last chorus is probably my favourite part of the song, the mv was bubbly and colorful, very astro-like basically, the boys turned into soda bottles lol that wasn't surprising tho arohas were able to guess it ever since the 1st teaser was released, the choreography, as DQ claimed it'd be, was simple, funny, enjoyable, adorable, with some lowkey difficult twist moves, minhyuk one again had a spin (God of spins duh), though it looks more complicated than the one in Hide&Seek, the choreo overall made the song, also, the jinwoo+moonbin and dongmin+minhyuk butt bump was the cutest thing lmao. all in all, it was another solid album filled with bops delivered by astro, this comeback was definitely worth the wait, every single track sounds like a certified bop, couldn't be any more proud of how far they come in a short period of time, looking forward to see more of their musical growth. looking at the title tracks so far, it seems like Astro found their own color and unique trademark sound, they'll sooner or later outgrow their cute image considering they're a versatile group, but still, so far, they seem to have their own color that hopefully will continue to develop and upgrade quality-wise by the next releases.

my fav track is a 2-way tie between 'My Style' and 'Growing Pains'. 'My Style' needs it own mv tbh, a dark concept ;_;

i haven't watched the episode yet (planning to watch it once it gets subbed), i've checked the perfos and.. HOW IS EVERYONE SO DAMN GOOD oml?? the amount of talent in unbelievable. i don't get why knetz are claiming that their visuals are lacking though,, looks-wise, they're all good-looking imho, well guess my standards aren't that high,, my favs so far are Hongin, Yonghyun and Inpyo,, pretty sure i'll end up staning more once i watch the ep tho~
