Thank you for this! To be honest, I didn't know that the members of Ikon could dance. I feel so bad now. I'm definitely adding this to my favorites. -

Evanescence replied to KentasGlittery EyeMakeup's topic in Random
I was a closeted fan between 2011 and 2013. I left the fandom due to all of the internal conflicts within the fandom. My favorite member was Niall. I thought he had the perfect voice and hair. Louis and Zayn were runner ups. -
INFJ. I have the same personality type as Kai.

When I first heard about the scamming incident back in 2016, I was shocked. Then I found out the type of language he used with the children and it made me mad. Some of the bullying accusations came out during this time as well. I remember feeling disappointed, but I forgave him when he talked about his past and how sorry he was. However, I'm starting to get upset again because many of his fans are acting like he did nothing wrong and that this victim is just trying to ruin his career. It's not that hard to admit he did something wrong. His career is going to be fine, because I highly doubt SM is kicking him out. Harassing the victim's friend until the point of attempted suicide is crossing the line. I agree. Bullying always leaves its mark on the individual. They'll think about it for the rest of their lives, even if they no longer have resentment against the bully. I hope that she gets the help she needs to recover. I don't think he has issued an actual apology except for what was mentioned by SM in regards to the meeting. I also find it suspicious that so many people were present, but I wouldn't blame that on him. That's the fault of SM. I think even if he had said he wanted to go alone, SM would've said no because they are all about making sure they're able to control the outcome of a situation. I think I remember SM doing something like this a few years ago too. They should've told her how many people were going to be present. That way, she could've brought her own lawyer along and that would've leveled the playing field. From what I've read, the victim and friend haven't said that his apology wasn't sincere, but they did allude to the fact that they were forced to forgive him. He can be sincere all he wants, but at the end of the day, it's up to the victim to accept. SM had no business trying to use scare tactics in order to get them to accept his apology. Taeyong really needs to say something about these fans. Do you know if the victim is the one he used the homophobic slur or the girl he mocked because of her looks?

Which ones were proven false? I know that there was someone who changed part of their statement, but they didn't say that every single comment they made was false. They only wanted one part removed because they weren't sure if it was totally accurate and they only wanted to report on the stuff they knew. I also believe that there is some truth to it or Taeyong wouldn't have apologized directly to the victim or victims. SM made a statement saying that he did it and Taeyong has made several statements saying he did it as well. They just didn't elaborate on what he exactly did. I understand that fandoms can do malicious things to each other or idols and I'm not doubting that they participated in this going viral. However, bullying rumors and the scamming incident have followed him since predebut, so none of this is new info to me. I remember him also stating that he had done a lot of bad stuff when he was younger and didn't want any of the members to make the same mistakes he did. SM should've gotten all of this cleared up a long time ago. The only thing I'm not clear on is who exactly is the one coming forward now. Was it the female classmate he mocked or the guy he made the homophobic comment about? Taeyong is one of my biases in kpop, but wrong is wrong. I'm sorry that he was bullied as well and it shouldn't have happened, but that doesn't make it ok for him to make others suffer or even participate in it. He's probably changed for the better since then, but the pain he caused doesn't go away even if he wasn't the ringleader of the group that bullied the student. I also want to add that none of this would've happened yesterday if the fans hadn't bullied her. She has every right to call them out since she's the one suffering. I hope my post doesn't come across as mean. I'm saying everything in a calm voice even if it doesn't appear that way.

Are you referring to the people he scammed? I remember people saying that they were kids. If it was the bullying, I thought he bullied those that were the same age as him? I agree, he does need to atone for what he did. The pain he caused doesn't go away simply because he hasn't bullied anyone since middle school. With that being said, I wouldn't go as far as to say that SM should've kicked him out, especially if he hasn't continued that behavior throughout his life. However, he should use his platform to speak about why doing stuff like this isn't and will never be ok and use his story as an example. I think this matter should've been settled when the victim contacted SM and asked for an apology. They just ignored it and probably never told him that they called. Then they make matters worse by bringing in five representatives plus a lawyer. I can see having a lawyer and maybe one representative, but having five is just overkill. I also think SM shouldn't have made NCT revolve around him because of his scandals. He could've had a different position instead of being the face of the group. SM messed up with that one. I don't know, maybe I feel this way because I try to see the best in others. I had that same issue when I was in middle school. I also want to add that I'm glad to see that you've improved since your middle school days. I love hearing stories about people changing and becoming better individuals.

Were there any other classmates or teachers that mentioned Taeyong's personality during middle school? From what I've gathered his personality was terrible. He was a bully who harassed his friend/classmate and maybe even other students. His former classmate seems to suggest that he probably did do those things, but he was also bullied. Am I correct? If all of this is true, it still doesn't make his bullying ok. I've always had the mindset that it's not ok to become a bully just because you were being bullied. With that being said, I still do think that his personality has improved, since I haven't heard anyone else mention anything about him being a bully throughout his remaining school years. I feel so sorry for the victim he harassed and the victim's friend. They have been through a lot and I hope they get the right treatment. The fans need to stay out of this situation. This needs to be resolved between Taeyong, the victim, the friend, and SM.

That's the issue I have as well. He admitted his guilt and apologized. Fans need to understand that idols aren't perfect and shouldn't be viewed as being infallible. Since it happened when he was in middle school, I'm more inclined to believe that he became more mature since I haven't heard any bullying rumors about him in high school or even now. The fans just need to get a grip. If he and SM can say he did something wrong, then the fans should be able to do it as well. The fact that they harassed her to the point of attempted suicide is terrible. I hope she wins her lawsuit. I don't see what SM or Taeyong can do about this issue except state that fans shouldn't bully her. He can't be held responsible for the actions of his fans, but I think he should at least make a comment. SM might not allow him to do it though. However, I think it's weird that SM brought lawyers to the meeting without their knowledge. The only reason I can see is that they wanted to know what the three would talk about and record it. SM should've allowed him to meet with the victim in private. Afterwards, if they wanted info on what was discussed, they could've made arrangements to talk about it with all three.

Ok, I am totally lost. Can someone let me know if I got this correct? A friend of the bullied victim came forward and mentioned the comments that Taeyong made about the victim in middle school. Taeyong and the victim were friends and were also part of a group. Taeyong continuously bullied the victim throughout middle school, which caused the person to become depressed for years. Then others came out and said that he bullied multiple people in middle school, but the students and teachers said that this wasn't true. The ones who made these statements later retracted their story and stated they made it up. However, the first report from the person was true. So, Taeyong, along with SM lawyers and reporters, met up with the victim and the friend to apologize. Now the person who mentioned what happened to the victim is getting harassed by many Taeyong fans and this caused them to try to kill themselves and they plan to sue. Did I get this right?
