  2. I'm not running a charity or smth sorry burk, maybe you can crowdfund!
  3. Who wants to buy a glorious ring for 5mill won?
  4. well In the case of the propane and pentane, they both are alkanes (non polar) so they both only experience London Dispersion forces (imma just call it LDF from now on lmao bear wit me). So yeah in general, "a molecule with a large chain length experiences stronger London Dispersion Forces, because longer molecules have more places where they can be attracted to other molecules.x" I dont know about the surface area thing sorry, maybe more surface area means more areas in which the molecule can be attracted to other molecules? (which would mean basically the same thing I said before) Yes basically! Of the 3 types of intermolecular forces (LDF, dipole-dipole, & hydrogen bonding) Ethanol experiences ALL 3, while propane(non polar) only experiences the weakest one (LDF). Because of the OH-group, not only is ethanol polar, but it will also experience hydrogen bonding (only occurs between H and either N, F or O): all of these intermolecular forces acting between the ethanol molecules are what holds the molecules together more strongly, thus increasing its boiling point. I acc have a chem test tomorrow on the same kinda stuff lmao so no problem! hope this helped c:
  5. its the intermolecular forces, pentane (C5H12) is a bigger molecule than propane (C3H8), so pentane will have more London dispersion forces between its molecules than propane will, Ie it will take more energy to separate these molecules when heating it up. Also, because it's longer, "longer chain molecules have higher boiling points because longer chain molecules become wrapped around and enmeshed in each other much like the strands of spaghetti. More energy is needed to separate them than short chain molecules which have only weak forces of attraction for each other." Ethanol is highly polar because of its -OH group. more polarity = more attraction between the molecules= more energy required to separate the molecules = higher boiling point. Compare that to propane, which is symmetrical & non polar. Propane has much less intermolecular forces acting between the molecules (it only has london dispersion forces, while ethanol has london dispersion forces AND strong dipole-dipole bonding bc it's polar) I hope that makes some sense!
  6. delete this flop pls ty http://onehallyu.com/topic/401127-boa-only-one/
  7. I wish I had a hq of this during awards, so much better than the chopped neck travesty we have now ;-;
  8. hmu if you need anything changed InfiniteDelight and ZiyuBae's requests need to be done
