About SES, I don't know them but I googled and they were active 1997-2002 - that's cca 15 years ago and Gee, I thought about that and well, wasn't that supposed to stay behind "closed doors"? ...I know I'm probably reaching a bit and most probably it's a coincidence, but still...

So, while I was checking again Mamamoo's past performances I noticed a pattern. And the infamous Medley from Yu Heol's Sketchbook just intensified it. Is it just me or Mamamoo whenever covers songs or plays around (they danced to AOA, Lovelyz, Apink; in all the MamamooTV jokes they never sang any songs from SM (except RV the last time), they never mingle with SM artists (as opposed to artists from other labels) and their songs? P.s.: I'm not trying to stir shit up,... just observing things, since I find it reaaaaally hard for this to be just a coincidence.

I'm happy. An emotional performance, goosebumps, amazing, really amazing harmonies and duets and everything... I love Mamamoo! That's it! I love them.

I was just a favless/biasless Kpop newbie (I normally listen to other music, I was just checking superficially what's the hype about Kpop) and was checking HI SUHYUN's collabo "I'm different". Really liked the vibe and somewhere/somehow on youtube I saw a reccomendation for Mamamoo. Checked "Mr. Ambiguous" loved it, put it on my list to listen to it more but didn't really stan them yet... then couple of weeks later I noticed Mamamoo dropped a new song, being "Piano Man" and well, when I heard such distinct jazzy vibe, such quality in the instrumental and vocals I fell for them really hard. And since then they are still my only fav group in Kpop and I think It'll be really hard to find anything else I will like in Kpop because they set my expectations too high and I find almost everything else really generic and boring :-) (...okay, I like Zion.T, Zico and Shinee, but not nearly so much as Mamamoo).

Love the song! Such a great song... love Kisum's rap and I think Hwa Sa really got enough space to showcase her amazing jazzy vocals which really make the song's replay value go up by a loooot. Great song, really nicely composed and arranged, I really love this collabo! BTW Hwa Sa's really collecting them rap collabos,... I think she's quickly becoming rapper's favourite singer to feat with. She did feats with Primary, Phantom, Baechigi, Ja Mezz, Basick+LilBoi, Kisum, live stage with Hyuna,... and all in 1 year of activity of Mamamoo... girl's getting those royalties, it explains how they can have each their own apartment so quickly :-)

I read some knetz comments and they are pissed off... like, really pissed off... I think the expectations will be pretty high here... I hope everything goes okay for Solar. She has the charisma to be good,... but we'll see.

I don't understand. UOAY is digitally (pracitcally) the 2nd best girlgroup song of the year. In votes Mamamoo were best of girlgroups... how can they not be in the top10?! I would understand if physicals were there, Apink/SNSD/Sistar would own Mamamoo, but if we talk digital+votes... WTF?!

So, Mamamoo achieved the 1st 1-million DLs song... I think that's really great, seeing that next week it'll become the 2nd best downloaded girlgroup song of the year

This regarding IS2, I just hope fans from both sides (especially the casuals who tend to be the loudest) don't stir shit up after the performances/votes... Mamamoo will have to cope with Whee In sitting but will deliver, I'm sure, but I'm really interested to see what will RV do since only 2 can sing well out of the 5, I'm really curious...

I was feeling goosebumps and shivers throughout the song and the feels, the emotions... I can't describe it. I love the jazzy feel, I love the ending which is freakin' FANTASTIC!!! I LOVE IT! I think this is becoming one of my fave 3 songs by Mamamoo. /fanboy mode off I mean... I don't know what you guys felt, but this... I'm scared to understand the lyrics because I think it's going to be even more powerful.

Is it just me seeing things or are Mamamoo always put on the same days with rappers almost every time? I mean, do they see Mamamoo as that versatile, cool group and know the girls can stand on their own and can hype up the people to not get drowned or... am I thinking too much?

Now, this is cool... I like it that they do this "their way", meaning, they take their time to record a short, fun vid with a pinch of seriousness... these small things really make me love them even more...

Whee In ...why is it, that she's getting more beautiful with every day? I mean... I'm at loss for words here...

The talk starts and she stands up and wants to go to them but Solar immediately scolds her and sends her back in her seat. Whee In after the performace walks off stage by herself. So, she can walk but... this is just my speculation: the ankle didn't heal completely and yesterday/two days before she proably did something (fell or landed wrongly) and reinjured it again and that's why they taped her and the ankle got swollen. I'm suspicious she (with all her energy beagleness and everything) did fell or landed wrongly (so probably it's her ankle and back) because the last couple of perf. (the ones in black attire and another one I can't remember) I noticed she had the same motions as Solar had when her back was injured (less jerky movements, less back-bending or undulations, slower, controlled moves etc...) - it really stands out If you watch her (since her dancing is usually very sharp, crisp)... So in short: the chair was probably precaution and for her to slow down since she injured herself again. I'm not trying to defend RBW who are now probably scared shitless about the reaction of the fans who saw that (that's probably the reason they put out the letter), but injuries can happen. If Dave Grohl (click here for pic)can go on a tour with a broken leg, there's nothing wrong with Whee In doing a stage or two with a chair... the big problem I see is the 2nd fest-marathon of 4 performances on the same day on the 7th of Oct. which is going to be killer... that could've or should've been avoided, but promoters can quickly shitlist you and make it hard to get gigs, so I don't know,... probably it's not so easy for a group from a smaller company to just cancel things I think, I don't know...

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! REALLY APPRECIATED! Classy act by Kim Gook Jin - it's nice to get an explanation. I don't blame the guy for this since nobody could predict Mamamoo would blow up this much. He probably really started booking Mamamoo a lot in the beginning without worry, but after UOAY exploded, probably a lot of organizers he was pleading earlier, now held him for his words and he couldn't reject them now. So it happened that the schedule got jam-packed like this. They'll learn from this and I'm sure this won't happen again, since now they probably can become a little more selective about the events, get a little more cash, make better stages in quality and a little bit less in number - and looking at the name Mamamoo made for themselves as performers it shouldn't be that hard.

Proud of WheeIn's victory! She slayed hard! I knew already when I heard the concept of the show that she would slay. She's easily (as practically all of MMM) one of the strongest in the performance department, so I knew that she'd be able to bring out the best of her partner with her cheerfullness and talents. This stage worked so well because they were at ease with each other and Whee In led the guy through it smoothly, she was even his hypeman during his raps and doubled his rhymes (done in case he goes out of breath). She sang like a beast and still managed to make the guy shine and make it work like they really were a duo. Great performance!

So, Girl Crush is full of interesting "tributes"... we got the movies: -Titanic (Moonbyul & Solar) -Leon (Solar & Hwa Sa) -Tazza (Whee In & Moonbyul) ... - Then you have that Kdrama scene with spitting juice - Hwa Sa's play on the Edward Munch's painting "Scream" Did I miss something?
