  1. Well, you're right there's much less bashing on that, but in the past it got on my nerves, so I had to let it out now - I'm proud for Moonbyul ... I think today, since the haters found out that almost every excuse they used to bash them is useless, the pressed people have this the new trend saying Mamamoo (or their songs) are boring (btw it's a small minority, but still... I find this just a really stupid argument) Which I can't understand since this is probably the only group that changes genres so much and has "the balls" to venture in themes like the MV for UOAY or diss themselves or don't have any shame singing "Pink Panties" on the stage just after a serious ballad, a love song, and transitioning it into a jazzy song, etc... If you can't find something for you in Mamamoo's repertoire then you probably don't know what the hell you want at all
  2. It's interesting how some people who don't know anything about Mamamoo were quick to say that Moonbyul is useless, and then you have her writing/co-writing lyrics in 8/12 songs of the album EDIT: It's really awesome to see all of them involved so much in the creation this time. Can't wait to see what they created. And I trust KDH for the production part...
  3. so, our girls this time were even more involved in the creation of the songs: (credits for the pics, twitter: @mamamoosg )
  4. Thanks! So the feat is with Junggigo and My Recipe, which is heavily swing influenced track, has obviously HwaSa involved in production. We get more eSNa which is always great! So,... Double Sidekick - anybody knows more? I remember seeing the mentioned a lot of times.
  5. So, 3 questions since I can't read korean: - Who's the feat with? - How many songs are done with Esna? - How are Double Sidekick as producers? That's all I want to know right now
  6. They are going to Austin, Texas' SXSW festival sometime between 15.3. - 20.3., so hopefully later they tour around the world a little more too (I'm still hoping for them to come to Europe maybe) I really think there's a lot of chance for them to go with 1cm live, especially since they can make the fans chant along a lot - I think you underestimate their boldness... these girls feel no shame at all
  7. so, we have the title of the lead single: Click here to view the Tweet
  8. I read somewhere that when Moonbyul+Solar did one of their Vapp sessions in a bar, a guy/fan who was watching it came by and gave them coffee. Does anybody know where can I find this vid? Just want to see their reaction... btw HWA SA IS A GODDESS!!! And... and... Moonbyul... she's so gorgeus in these photoshoots. She's by far the most photogenic of the four of them... normally I don't find her that attractive, but this pic from this photoshoot... OH MY GOD!
  9. Uff,... Teamin's last mini was one of the best releases that year in my opinion - it's still one of my fav releases in kpop. The production was really great in my opinion. If it's gonna be on par with that, it's going to be difficult for Mamamoo, but I think if they bring a good song to the table, they can overcome everybody except for some really big names, so I'm pretty confident. The thing is, that with the late week release, as all of you said, the first big rush will go in the 1st week, and for the 2nd week when the buying spree will lower, the new releases are going to be bigger probably. The only chance Mamamoo have is that in 2 days they have such massive sales, that beat a whole week of sales for Taemin - and no matter how much I love Mamamoo, that's a pretty difficult mission.
  10. Hwa Sa in this pic is just stunning... She looks so f***n' gooood! OMG! This girl...
  11. Well, OK, you got a point there. I find Minju is actually prettier (I find her really the most attractive out of all of them) than Daya and Taehee, so... for me she's the one that fills that spot I'm more about the music and talent but, as I said, I see what you are saying.
  12. I think it's better this way... the original three were all A.KOR really needed in my opinion. Maybe it's a little harsh but I never understood why they added Taehee+Daya at all. Minju, Kemy and Jiyoung all have something to bring to the table.
  13. If this was intentional... RBW+Mamamoo are just genius Click here to view the Tweet
  14. So, Mamamoo has actually 2 songs in the top10 right now - and both without any promotion at all, just put out there for the fans? That's actually really awesome. When I think how happy we were for Piano Man and Mr. Ambiguous to get at least near the top20... Mamamoo has come a long way I checked the live-reactions to the MV on youtube and most of the time it's really, really positive. People are surprised, since they didn't expect them to deviate so much, but at the same time they are not - since almost everybody now knows that with Mamamo you should expect the unexpected
  15. This gif is gold! Love it! Probably gonna use it a lot from now on!
  16. Don't worry about it... this are just haters and they're not worth your time. Whoever likes Mamamoo's sound will not bash the song since it's typical Mamamoo style, despite going in different genre than in the past - Mamamoo made the song in their own style completely, especially since the lyrics are about them So maybe they just don't like rap, but nobody can say it's not Mamamoo. People bashing the song would bash it no matter what Mamamoo would do. It's the same story as with every Mamamoo song... they do Piano Man "aah, too jazzy, boring song, they do the same retro stuff all the time", they do UOAY "aaah, to generic kpop, they should've done retro, that's best MMM, this is just commercial shit", they do girl crush "aaah, what is this even a song? UOAY was better", they do I Miss you "aah, ballads are boring, Mamamoo don't suit them, where's the fun MMM", and now you get this. That's what happens when a music artist puts it's listener out of the comfort zone - and there the fun begins, at least in my opinion, and where the superficial listeners looking for the quick-fix get weeded out. The thing with Mamamoo is that they branch out and I think they covered a lot of genres already, at least much more then most groups do in their whole careers. It's normal not everything will be liked the same way by everybody - for example I didn't listen to "I Miss you" more then twice since I hate ballads, but even that song had the Mamamoo sound to it and was well made, so I didn't hate on it, I just don't listen to it. If somebody likes just a specific song of Mamamoo then they don't like Mamamoo, they like that sound. Mamamoo ALWAYS makes every song theirs, so that I can't imagine any other group doing it, because it's too much Mamamoo, they give it that unique flavor, their charisma makes the songs unique in it's presentations (visual, performance-wise and sound). What I want to say: I wouldn't concern myself with people who don't really like Mamamoo but just one/two of their songs, they are casuals who won't bother getting the point of the song and at the end, as you said, it's their loss... they don't care to give MMM a chance, why should we care about their opinion? Groups have to branch out and evolve for their act to not become stale - especially if you want career longevity. Mamamoo, in my opinion, are in it for the long run. I mean, they are out for 2 years almost and not even once can I go and say "Okay, this song was a repackaged version of XYZ" opposite as to 99% of other Kpop groups. They have to keep it fresh and Mamamoo does it best since they always get to do it their style and do it awesomly because they put themselves in the music they do. That's why if you feel Mamamoo you it's very difficult to not enjoy their songs in my opinion. You might not love all the songs, but you won't dislike any, since the quality and originality is always there. EDIT: Song is now #1 on 5 charts, #2 on Naver, #3 on Monkey3 and #8 on Melon. Not bad
  17. Always great to read stories like these If it happens again, you should show her Mamamoo's live perf from Immortal Songs... maybe when they sang Delilah... your mom's gonna know the song (since Tom Jones version is known worldwide) for sure and her jaw will drop when she hears them slay with their vocals, believe me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Z6WxZsRdyI
  18. I think it won't do too great, but it doesn't really matter because as far as I can see, in my opinion, this pre-release is/was probably a much bigger success with i-fans than it will be with k-fans. On twitter the #mamamoo is going on cca 400/500 tweets/hour already the whole day...
  19. lol... I think this is the final proof that Mamamoo really can do every genre effortlessly. They are freaking dissing themselves and still manage to make it sound/look cool... I must say they keep surprising me still I mean... they're all hyped in mechanic vests with those awful footwear (which I don't know what's named in english)... just lol. It's so funny to see how Mamamoo can be serious and then go on songs like this one and be all out crazy... I love it! Probably the only group that can go from one extreme to another and still manage to do it with credibility. EDIT: added 2nd paragraph
  20. Anxiously waiting for the album to drop and get slayed the f* out... but dropping by just to say: HOMETOWN IS AWESOME! Love it so much! The bossanova vibe, the concept... I really love it! Mamamoo brings it again! Don't know who created the beat & produced the song, but if it's KDH, i find this guy becomes awesome-er every MMM release. And that guitar jamming in the background... oh gooooooood! So gooood! He's really breaking the stereotypical Kpop mold with what he's doing with MMM. It's different and I love it! This post: I'm always glad to see Moonbyul's importance being recognized. If she wouldn't take care on stage about the choreo, those three would just break it up every time,... I mean they do it already, but at least Moonbyul brings them back on point most of the time and tries to keep it smooth. And same thing goes for interviews and other activities, Moonbyul's the one who manages the other three to say what they are supposed to say and not deviate too much from what they are supposed to do (especially Solar and Whee In). ---------------------------------- BTW what's up with the sasaeng thing? Do we know what happened for RBW to take this drastic (but correct) measures?
  21. Finally some really great news! Full length album! Can't wait to hear what will they create this time and what will be their lead single
  22. Oh god... Whee In... Esna... this vid just made my day today... So... when are the 2 gayos when Mamamoo performs? Btw... which performance was this one where whee in and Moonbyul lay the beatbox for Solar to rap a line or two over...:
  23. My 2 cents regarding the awards, LOL @ Hwa Sa subtly putting the mic to Whee In's mouth so everybody can hear it... haha...
