There are many idols (and companies) who lowkey support them since it basically shows popularity status for a group. Also its free promo. (for example, every time cfans do these huge projects for Jimin there is multiple media coverage.) Plus there are many idols who take photos next to their billboards in Korea/etc and thank fans on sns... HOWEVER with time all of this probably becomes sort of a embarrassing. Especially for idols who are super popular. But again still its free promo. I doubt any company would ever speak out on it. We shall see tho

tbh i don't know why people would clown. everyone knows these idol survival shows, like gp999 tend to have low ratings. barely anyone is watching tv anymore. in general it's better to grasp how popular the groups are once they actually debut about swf - superior choreographers/dancers plus drama is a great combo. something different to the table. so i'm not surprise it's getting more initial clicks.
