I didn't find their debut song very memorable but I absolutely loved their recent comeback.

But yeah, I agree this was one of the most meh years for debuts, and for kpop in general. Very few impactful songs tbh.

    exactly TT

The situation was more complex than we thought. Even the thread you gave fails to explain this a bit. I will try to summarize as I understand it.

Some fans have revealed that Teazen Kombucha has been invested by HYBE shareholders. This led to the conclusion that JK's mention of the brand in both his Vlive broadcasts was not really "supporting small businesses" at all. There's motive is behind it. This caused the fans to split into two. Some were angry with the company thinking that HYBE was using Jungkook, some were angry with Jungkook for deceiving them.

Then these enraged fans, suspect Jungkook, dig a little more and reveal that it's his older brother, the CEO of the clothing chain that Jungkook has been wearing for a while and has publicly promoted. His brother is the ceo of Graffitionmind.

Then, a very popular sasaeng named Gasahara, who sees these is trying to spread something so that she can connect Jungkook's name to Burning Sun. But it's actually a big stretch. A company called La Mode, which Jungkook also promoted before, sponsored some music events held at Burning Sun before the scandal. This was quickly debunked by the KArmys. The companies also said they would sue this woman, but nothing much happened to her, although she has been sued many times before.

We know La Mode was sold in August because JK stopped promoting them in june and started promoting Graffitionmind instead. But the situation gets interesting. Graffitionmind is La Mode's sister company because both under a company named SixguysJungkook listed in SixGuys a board director. This actually means that Jungkook is earning income from the companies he promotes. In this case, HYBE actually knows that Jungkook is making a side income, but they're doesn't care because he also promotes their shareholders' companies.

So, yeah. M E S S. If there's anything I'm misunderstood, please let me know.

Thanks for sharing. You're right, things are very complex. It seems the thread I found mainly debunks the B Sun allegations.

About small business - Personally I would not be surprise if all the members have invested in some sort of business(s). I mean, they make so much money as a group it's wise to invest it somewhere. Start thinking about the future of their families. Also I've always assumed some of the products idols show off on vlives and sns is due to some sort of business. Of course this does not mean every item a idol showcase is business related tho.

  3. Honestly I more surprise to see this stunt still being used for by some westerners for clicks or laughs o.o

Also - Kelly is not the one who picked the photo. She doesn't deserve the hate. And it's ironic the producers did this during her interview with Coldplay's Chris Martin talking about working with BTS.

ANYWAYS, anticipate Coldplay x BTS new song being released soon~

So far no news, I think last few months a lot drama filming delayed as some of their staffs got c*vid then they halted the filming. I not sure for bts korean drama since I forget who is the director . As far as I remember a lot of drama are being delayed in their filming ever since SK's covid hit 4th wave last few months ago. I don't know about now. Also maybe they may have been changes in cast as well since some actors drop out due to conflict with their other drama roles . I don't remember the article after announcing the casts mentioned when they 've plan  to film. but bighit loves to be secretive so I don't know.

Yea covid is major possibility. TT

About drop outs: I would have assumed the actors would have already signed contracts. But maybe not

    Spoiler

    found this thread

(not sure how long it will stay up tho, so copy pasta below...)

OP decided to make a good / organized thread and I see people saying that a translation would be necessary so here I come.

It is true that JK wore LMDCF clothes, so fans followed him (and bought it, [when an idol buy things and it's sold out) and JK's brother, but there is no sign of being involved in the LMDCF business itself.

On 19th/08m, LMDCF was acquired by Soda Coin. Soda Coin was designated for / of investment stocks and it almost canceled in 05m, but was lifted at the end of July participating in research by SK Management and Economy Research Institute.

Apparently, the acquisition of LMDCF seemed to be of great help, but — if you look up to articles and see investments, it’s clear — even BTS who were with soda, were not very interested in the purchase of it (because it was a small acquisition) more like talking about the issue rather than participation in SK research institute.

Co-representatives of LMDCF are said to be related to B_rning Sun scandal, but it's common to have brand launching parties in clubs, and even hip-hop singers' showcases were held there.

(although it's may have been impossible / false because it's a cosplay (irony)).

Obviously, LMDCF sponsored it at the time, hosted also by VT to commemorate the entry into China's online shopping mall, and it was a club party of a male idol celebrating performance on this Cica Club Day, do you understand what it was like? LOL (meaning as, look at the magnitude!!)

And some a55holes told me “look into the relationship between DJ and Soda Coin” but DJ, regardless of Soda Coin, was a DJ who was originally the main DJ of the Gangnam club. So there was not a connection.

I explain once again that they said that JK and his brother took over LMDCF, but it was acquired by soda, and his brother never took over nor participated in the project. He is currently running 6G with co-CEO LMDCF.

And there was a talk about Kombucha and Teazen, so I wondered why he was talking about this, so I watched Teazen, which is selling Kombucha, from a few months ago and found out that VC, called "TS Investment," holds a 70% stake in Tizen, which was based on the fabrication that TS is related to "stick investment," which held a stake in Hive.

    […]

When asked about the relationship between the two, Teazen promoted it under JK face name, but Hybe left it unattended, so in that logic, if only he had repeated the related thing like a parrot, should I consider them to be related to Hive?

They always ask why what JK wore and ate is sold, but rather, only two of the things JK wore and ate were the LMDCF and Kombucha, which are currently on sale. Numerous brands of Musinsa and men's clothing worn last month are still in on business, and all of them are promoting with the clothes worn by JK.

If it's not related to Hybe or JK, why do you just leave it to promote? Naver News right now search for "JK wearing," " BTS" and "out of stock effect." If you wear it in a company or eat it, it's going to be in articles…. Not just on VLIVE (it happened there), but any celebrity.

If you don’t believe it, see it yourself (image source in thread)

    side note: article

    Spoiler

Back in March 2021, Jungkook introduced the drink ‘TEAZEN Kombucha’ when a fan asked him in a live on the VLive app what he was drinking. Jungkook answered that he had ordered the kombucha powder after hearing it was good and drinks about two bags per day. As soon as Jungkook mentioned the drink, fans immediately began ordering the product online, leading to the shortage in Korea.

One week later, The Korean tea brand TEAZEN revealed that their Kombucha product had risen 500% in sales after Jungkook drank and introduced the drink on his previous Vlive. TEAZEN posted on their Instagram about Jungkook's insane impact on their sales. They wrote, “Just one word from him and a month’s worth of supplies sold out in 3 days. Thank you.”

Following that, the product recorded its highest export ever, with an increase of over 800% compared to the previous month. Japan saw the largest increase, followed by China and the United States. Many major Korean newspapers, including The Donga Ilbo, Korea Economic Daily, Daily JoongAng, and more, reported about the Kombucha craze and how Jungkook's massive influence helped small businesses grow.

By July 2021, the company achieved copulative sales of 50 million sticks. Later, Korean media reported that Jungkook not only boosted the sales of kombucha products that were already being marketed but also caused companies to launch new kombucha products in the market. Multiple Korean firms are competing in the race to launch new kombucha products after his live stream.

As a result, Teazen Kombucha today was awarded '2021 Brand of the Year', proving Jungkook to have an unparalleled brand power and impact in the economic industry.

They also donated 50 Million KRW (43,000 USD) for Korean society, claiming it to be a return of the profit that Jungkook caused them to receive.

And had to launch new branches domestically and internationally to keep up with the orders. cr.

Going off by how easily he gets embarrassed or walks away when his members are doing something wild, we can safely assume he would not be enjoying it very much. And actually that is also something I don't get, don't they know their bias very well? If he was someone who enjoyed seeing things like this, I would understand. But he has showed that he does not like these type of attention and is actually an introvert.

I can't safely assume anything. Also just because people bias an artist still does not mean they know the artist personally. At the end of day, we're all just fans.

fyi - Jimin isn't an introvert. Plus he's one of the members who likes attention on stage. And he doesn't tend to walk away. He actually initiate a lot of moments with the members too. Of course, this doesn't prove whether he wants his face on a plane or not.

In reality, our opinions are base on us, since we can truly only know about ourselves. Tbh I myself would be embarrassed af ㅠㅠ ...But lowkey also sort of intrigued by my own popularity as an artist too. It's not everyday a person can say their face was on a plane LMFAO

I agree, the companies won't speak out. But I gotta believe that as a grown men he doesn't want his face on a plane. If he was a friend of mine, this would be a goldmine for jokes.

There are many celebrities (grown or not) who feed off of "fame" and "attention"....so while I too think Jimin probably don't want/care for his face on a plane, I also don't know him personally to confirm that DKKFLSLADJFLFL
