Yep I still disagree. I do think they're going easy and/or doing what's the most marketable with their english tracks, for sure. With their Korean music, now that's an entirely different story. BTS is doing what they've always done. Whether some people like BE album or not, It's sill authentically bts. It's bts at that moment in time. Cancelled stadium tours and frustrated due to covid and searching for some sort of positivity. Also te members older now and handle situations differently. Which in my opinion can clearly be heard through their music too. Not everything has to be dark, angsty and angry. The last part of your comment clearly shows you don't fully grasp what I've said here. People like you seem to think because I don't agree with everything being dragged about bts english tracks, I don't have a reality check lmfao.........fam I'm far from thinking BTS english tracks are on some sort of pedestal lol...again as I said in the comment above Korean bts will always be superior. No one here is saying their english tracks is the Best of the best lol lol lol lol

well hmmmmm personally... korean >>>>>>> english their korean music will always be superior. and i feel bts, bighit and stans agree with that. at the end of the day, bts is a korean group. these english tracks are fun side pieces (that are getting way to much over-analyzation then they deserve tbh....) disclaimer: no hate to their english stuff tho. dynamite and butter are a vibe. defiantly a mood booster. and ptd is fine too, tho korean lyrics would of made it 10x better, in my opinion.

as i said, that complaint about their music production and/or stylistic choices have been around for a while now. even before mots 7...... our opinions are going to differ. i've talked about this once in a thread years ago. i personally can distinguish their voices and in most cases don't find the production bad overall when considering their entire discography. (plus, there's been times people claimed autotune, when it's not even that and/or none) but to each their own tho. i'm not defending them to the end. the issue i have is when people say things that don't make sense and/or not fully the truth. you mentioned "quantity over quality" so i responded. also at the moment i don't have anything else to do, so well...lol about your last point...yep strongly disagree. bts haven't lost what makes them special. (that comment actually sound like something a non-fan would make lbr) what makes them special have always been their group dynamics, lyrics and creative freedom.

as a debut fan myself, the amount (quantity) of music bts has released hasn't changed from my observation heck some might even say it's less. bts use to promote like 4+ times a year (in korea alone...) also - complaints about not being able to distinguish certain members have been around for a long time now. (the autotune complaint especially by non-stans) basically nothing about bts (or their complainers) has truly changed. except now they've added some english to their discography. OT: in general, what makes bts "color" or "style" is simply having all 7 members participate.

absolutely sure. concept wise we got to see twice explore a more mature side of their sound and style for the first time. we kpop fans talk about concepts all the time. about how groups specialize in certain concepts. (cute, innocent, dark, girl crush, high-teen, etc.) with the case of bts english tracks, right now they're choosing to do a more happier concept.

Not being able to speak a language perfectly doesn't have to be a barrier. Other Kpop artists have released English and Japanese songs too. I guess, because BTS is doing so well they're getting more backlash. Ironic. Bts have only released two main english tracks and side track yet for some reason they got some people (mainly kpop fans) triggered. Dynamite and Butter is about as comparable to Fancy U and Feel Special. I can give so many examples even with in Kpop itself. Artist release back to back comebacks that have similar concepts all the time. It's never been a big deal, as long as it's produced and do well.

People have been saying BTS lost their "color" "style" since 2015. There's always some new so called critic complaining. Artist are not stagnant they experiment and explore the world and themselves. And every time BTS go beyond everyone expectations with their achievements. In general, there's people speaking out with out knowing absolute nothing about BTS. The group is a walking encyclopedia. They share almost everything about their process. -------------------------------------------------- About locals: well, dynamite had waayyyyy more western promotion then butter. they performed the f*ck out of th song lol. plus it was used in other outlets like commercials and etc. about gateway: i slightly disagree. songs doing well on charts means more westerners including industry people will pick it up. e.g radio stations, different networks, channels and artists. all of this hugely effects a songs exposure. 7 #'1s on Hot 100 isn't going to be ignored by the industry. because butter is doing so well help dynamite get more push too. about variety: of course it's always nice. at the same time i guess it depends. the three songs is 3 different varieties of happy. also i've said this in another thread, the west was not ready for moody and emotional bts singing in english. plus with covid, i feel their going about all of this right way so far... _______________________ 2020: 7 (Korean full album) + Dynamite (English single) + BE* (Korean mini album) 2021: Butter (English single with side track PTD) (side note: They've released some Japanese albums in between all of this. Also BE is literally the group's first mostly self-produced album. Documented their process for months.)

nah for starters, bts didn't even have the full support of many "corporations" in the west....and stans have limitations, especially in the beginning of bts expansion. at the end of the day, the public have at least noticed bts. it doesn't take a rocket-science to notice that. which is partially why bts is so marketable right now. plus the rapid amount of western fans bts have continue to gain for the last few years is further proof of this. just like how people use to say gangnam style help spread kpop. well bts is basically the same if not better consider they've been able o do even more then psy long-term. (nowadays it feels like every 1 in 5 millennial/gen z/or younger have heard at least something about bts.)

Yea most likely next is a Korean comeback. Which at the end of the day their Korean music is why most people stan. I mean, they're Korean. Their Korean music is what fans look forward to the most. Plus, it's what BTS/Bighit work the hardest on. The Western market has always been just a good side piece ^^ for BTS lol...
