  1. I have trust issues with Cube too TT Hoping for the best tho
  2. Yea there's two popular theories. Those who think 4th gen started in 2018 o.o ...and then we others who are at least giving each gen a decade before jumping to the next one. Those groups listed are simply the latter part of the 3rd gen. I guess some people might would even say 3.5 ^^
  3. Not in my opinion. It will be the start of the real 4th gen.
  4. True. A whole ace. Tho her popularity in Korea is more of a highlight imo. It's not easy measuring up to kfans standards. Also lets be real, big companies don't tend to have a problem gaining fans in japan due to the large kpop niche and concert culture over there. With or without Chaewon (or even Sakura) the upcoming GG will probably do well financially in Japan with time.
  5. Yes It would work but i can also see why Chaewon picked another option. Not only are duo less profitable no matter how popular they are...duos are not as active as groups. Also the fandom culture in general support groups more. If Chaewon wants the full kpop idol experience then being in a group is the best pick. On top of that a big company will better her chances. She can always do a collab later Eunbi.
  6. This type of deal would benefit Woollim the most. Hybe do majority of the work while Woollim profit off them. Conspiracy theory - Hybe plans to aquire Woollim in the near future o.o This is just the start of the two companies building a good business relationship.
  7. Butter has a high chance also tbh. Its doing well on kcharts. The nunber of #1s on BB is hard to ignore. Also it and PTD does have impact in Korea. However if the award shows want to go with a Korean song, then that lower BTS chances. edit: Also I would say any Korean song they release now don't have a chance, since usually any song after April/May have difficulties winning SOTY. However Dynamite (end of Aug) was able to do it so... Unless someone surprise us with a hit, I think it will be between BTS, Brave Girls and aespa.
  8. Strategic move from Hybe. Chaewon rising popularity with kfans/knetz will most likely benifit the group. A joint contract seems odd in this case?? since the upcoming GG isn't temporary like izone. What purpose would there be staying under both.. I think they will debut another girl group. The purpose was to add more members. (Specifically international members imo) Hybe never said the entire group would be pulled from the global additions. Literally could only be 1-2.
  9. Well, this is a smart move on Hybe side...Chaewon is a good vocalist and popular with knetz/kfans.
  10. Omg yassss!!! Praying for the best right now. The number of comebacks is one of the things I was hoping would increase joining Pledis/Hybe.
  11. One of the Pros have been confirmed: More comebacks through out the year. Apparenlty they will have a comeback in Sept.
  12. Hmmm interesting. Chaewon originally part of OTR right? And CJ recently re organized their sublabels. One of the biggest news recently is fromis_9 from OTR is now under HYBE
  13. Wonder Girls, Miss A, Twice, 15&, Itzy, etc... Which female idols would you put in JYP's Super group? Only 7-8 members max.
  14. Pros: fromis_9 is underrated. Being under the Hybe umbrella will give them more exposure. Being on the YouTube channel alone, will increase views. Pledis/Hybe resources, connections and investment. Long over due Japan debut. High expectations. In general, now that they're solely under Pledis and not being shared with CJ, maybe Pledis will give them more comebacks Official lightstick. Cons: Pledis don't have a good track record with GG. Hybe is lacking too. (tho I'm lowkwy optimistic that both will use fromis at least for now to prove they can do well) OTR was always rumored to be a shell company for Pledis. So perhaps nothing will change with the lack of comebacks and individual activity.
  15. True. Although one major difference is temporary groups know their time limit. How long they need to fake it. Also alternative motives - goal to gain popularity for one self so the actual group you join at your company will hopefully benefit from it later... On the other hand, same company groups, in ideal world will be together for a long time. So while they compete as trainees and may hold some of that pettiness in the earlier years, with time some of them gain strong bonds. Also how a company manage a group is crucial too. Bad management....for example, showing favoritism isn't healthy for overall group relationship.
