BTS - 💜 아포방포 💜 - WE ARE BULLETPROOF -Beyond The Scene - Official Thread
satoori replied to Winter Bear's topic in Groups
A single could be next. Also in general i think they will prepare for the next chapter of the group. Almost a 10 year grouo. Members will begin to enlist eventually too. That will change the dynamics of the group a bit too.- 367,108 replies

Naver Webtoon has teamed up with HYBE and DC Comics. Naver plans to create webtoons or web novels in collaboration with various artists from HYBE, including BTS. Naver also will create original webtoons using DC Comics' worldview/characters. https://m-en.yna.co.kr/view/AEN20210818004100320 Note: BTS collaborated with Webtoon before for their original BU comic SAVE ME in 2019.

If its in 2021, then maybe Oct/Nov. Otherwise the comeback will be set for 2022. (I'm curious about the statement made about 2022 being a new era of BTS too) Yea a mixtape(s) would be nice too.- 367,108 replies

I wonder when BTS will make their Korean comeback this year? There's only about 4 months left in the year o.o- 367,108 replies

[NB] IZ*ONE's Kim Chaewon signs with Hybe's Source Music
satoori replied to Youahaen's topic in Netizen Nation
My thoughts too. Hybe/Somu couldn't negotiate better terms for individual projects. Even with BTS the company is very group focus. While BTS themselves are fine with this plan now, Hybe shouldn't expect every group to think the same... Some people say Gfriend incident was a wake up call for Hybe. Which might of played a huge role in when negotions were being made with 17. -
Kim Chaewon will reportedly be signing a contract with Source Music
satoori replied to Lee's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
-Hybe already had a album and merch system set up even before the deal with YG. Bts and other Hybe artists greatly benefited from it. The deal with YG is just to perfect the already working system more. Also YG naturally have years of industry experience that Hybe can gain from. Yg is also the Big 3 company willing to work with Hybe in this case...While JYP and SM trying to their own platforms. -YG is also getting new exposure and good PR by joining forces with Hybe. Something they need with past scandals eating at their image in recent years. -YG and Naver had been working on it but wasn't going anywhere. But now with Hybe support/push the concert venue plans will actually see the day of light faster. -Weverse was growing and expanding well even with out YG artist. Although their addition is welcomed. -
You're right, Perhaps we underestimate and overestimate certain groups... Adding on from r/kpop: "Pristin debut was 43k while their comeback was 27k, both in 2017; Pristin V in 2018 was 18k. There was a sharp decline but Weki Meki has had a similar one but Fantagio has stayed with them. In 2019, fromis joined the exclusive GG 50k sales club for a single album. At the time, they were only the 6th or 7th GG to do this. It was before Lovelyz, before OMG, before Itzy, before GIDLE, before Dreamcatcher, and before StayC. *Fun Factory* even had more sales than any single Mamamoo album at the time. Then OTR/Pledis did nothing with them for over a year (focusing on Izone instead) losing all that momentum. fromis still hit 50k last year (albeit less than *Fun Factory*) but went almost another year without building on it and hit 50k again this year with *9 Way Ticket* barely passing *Fun Factory* while still not climbing to 60k."

Kim Chaewon will reportedly be signing a contract with Source Music
satoori replied to Lee's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
Hmmm but a joint partnership isn't necesaary to join Weverse and benefit from it tho? The deal with YG and Hybe is a bit more complicated. YG will also offer their expertise too. https://www.bandwagon.asia/articles/yg-entertainment-joins-forces-partnership-big-hit-entertainment-weverse-news-kpop-korea-business-january-2021 -

You're right can't re-write the past. The damage is done. Also k-buddies/kfans themselves became to relax. We all assumed everything was fine, that the girls would stay together. They had rising momentum in Japan too, but covid sort of haulted all of that progress. But of course, doesn't matter if the girls were done with the idol life TT -

satoori replied to Youahaen's topic in Netizen Nation
Chaewon will be fine. Overall Source Music did well Gfriend. The main major bump in the road didn't come till the very end TT OT: I look forward to the day we can hear more from Gfriend about this situation. Considering how much was invested in them, even leading up to the suprise disbandment, I don't think they were thrown away easily. Seems more like Source Music and the girls themselves couldn't negotiate good terms. Perhaps some of the members were burnt out with idol life. While they could of held on for fans, they shouldn't be punished for wanting to do something different too. -
