alright, i've been meaning to do this for a while.... i'm going to perma ban my account and hand over the op to dooly soon. she's been around for a long time and i know she'll take care of this thread like she does with bangtan updates. (and if anyone active and good with graphics wants the jungkook thread, pm me). i'm writing this out mostly because....i've been in this forum since the day (well...2nd day) of it's inception. and been this thread op for ...2 years-ish. i felt compelled to give you guys a reason and a farewell note. and i'm leaving...mostly because i've come to really dislike this place. i liked oh because the outside forum used to be entertaining. and i like this thread and the users in it. we have nice discussions and some real intelligent people around. i appreciate that. but i really dislike coming to this site now. quite honestly it saps my energy and mood when i come here. i spent the last few weeks away, doing things that made me very chilled...and coming here was a shock every time. the topics are boring, repetitive. the users are annoying and negative. and i dislike how mean and rude i become as a result. i know a lot enjoy my snark but imo i'm very obnoxious and unnecessarily awful towards a lot people. it's a very...jekyll and hyde scenario. as for "banning" the account. it's mostly so people can't lurk through it anymore. it's not foolproof...but it's something. i get a lot of unwanted attention here and treated as a figurehead for army because i'm the op...it's a bit disturbing quite frankly. this place makes me paranoid. i'll also hopefully be very busy in the coming months with my graduation and job hunting. i need to prioritise my life...which i haven't done in years. anyway, wishing you guys best of luck. take care. etc don't forget to mention me in "inactive users u miss" threads fufufu

I haven't been around much lately, and chances are I will be around even less with graduation/job hunting coming up. Is there anyone who would like to take over the op? Someone who can put some time into it, maybe make new graphics as needed.

i've noticed this happens consistently in archived threads when a user asks to be banned, the link to their profile will be disabled. but, if you find their post in an archived thread, you can still click and view their profile. this doesn't seem to happen with users who are actually "banned." you can't access their profiles any way. are the tech admins aware of it? is it like a glitch or just something that's intended to happen?

you notice how on twitter there's a trend to put a girl idol as your dp and write how you're a "gg stan" on the bio? yet these are the very people who don't throw their money where it matters. no wonder kcon has more male artists and the album list is LARGELY boys. gg stans don't turn up when it comes to actually supporting. they don't purchase albums, they don't buy merch. but they'll run their mouth like a motor when it comes to bashing boy groups and their stans and whining about "sausage fests." they'll take turns flaming one gg over another and argue over who's ngg, but nada when you need to fork out money. there's a reason so girl groups have such a short life span. their fans are all talk, no action.

people underestimate bts' longevity on charts physically, but also digitally. their 2016 song could make it to the 2017 chart. that's pretty good. 1.2-1.3 mil downloads for a song is amazing. the streams are good too (and more important than downloads but harder to track and manage). their next song will probably do around SD level or better. unless it's really bad
