  5. 150104 IZE magazine's interview with Yein Q: Do you have something that you wish for this Christmas? Jeong Yein: Christmas is 5 days before New Year. It would be nice to end the year well, (for us) to be able to promote in the future. It’d be wonderful if we could win (on music shows), but it would be even nicer if we could have fun while promoting without any trouble. Since it’s Christmas it would be nice to eat together with the onnies after we finish our schedule, but I don’t know if it can be fulfilled. Everyone has such big appetite. Seriously, the onnies are always starving (smile) Q: How did you spend your previous Christmases? JYI: I spent Christmas normally. Just came to the church and went home, then watched TV while peeling and eating oranges. Even if they’re not my real family, I’ll spend this year’s Christmas with my other significant family, the onnies. Q: You really did spend (Christmas) normally. JYI: There’s a good atmosphere in our family, but we don’t spend Christmas differently. Q: How is the “good atmosphere†(in your family)? JYI: First of all, my mom and dad are open-minded. I never feel stress when I study since I was young. Since I started dancing it’s hard to study, so I came to know Christian international alternative school. (My parents) suggested me to attend (the school) as it will be even less stressful to study there. Q: You suddenly became an idol while dancing. JYI: While preparing to perform, I fell on the escalator and my feet were injured really badly. I couldn’t dance and had nothing to do. Even though I couldn’t sing very well I enjoyed singing, so my mom sent me to a practical music academy. Because I went to a (music) academy, I only talked about music. I heard a lot of audition information and I have a lot of interest in that direction so I was able to take the opportunity. Q: There are onnies who prepared for more than 4 years, but you debuted only after 3 months (of training). JYI: That’s why there wasn’t time when I don’t feel sorry to them. Even so, the onnies didn’t judge me and they adapt to me easily. Since the onnies are really nice, they tell me straight away the things that I don’t know. Q: Is it your first time to be a part of a group that only consists of girls who are older than you? JYI: Since I was young when I went to the dancing academy, I played a lot with older girls. I’m closer to older girls than I do with people who are the same age as me. There were older girls who had to repeat high school, since they entered in the middle of the school year I came to be close to them. I prefer older girls (to hang out with). Q: Have you adapted to the dorm life? JYI: I’m not shy with strangers, so I was able to adapt with the dorm life fast. Since I entered the dorm when we were already preparing for debut, we had no time to spend at the dorm. Q: As seen on [Lovelyz Diary], the dorm doesn’t look that wide. JYI: The rooms are bigger than it seems. There are two rooms. Since we’re divided between those two rooms, we’re not cramped (in one place). I love it when there are a lot of people living in the place as me. Back then, I asked my mom and dad to make a bedroom where the whole family could sleep together. But my dad hated it (smile) Q: The onnies said while practicing late at night you lose your sanity. What situation takes place? JYI: I heard that I’m 4D a lot of times. At dawn it’s hard to loosen up; I think that’s why I put down my sanity. I dance crazily a lot and I say a lot of irrelevant things. For instance, it was supposed to be sweet pumpkin but I heard it as eggplant instead (smile) The onnies burst out into laughter since it made no sense. Ah! And there are times when I suddenly feel a surge of energy alone so I work out. While practicing I do up to 30 until 50 squats and after we’ve finished matching our choreography I ride a bike. In that case, the onnies see it strangely. Q: You attend an alternative school and live a free life, but when you were preparing for debut, were there many restrictions? JYI: Even if it was fun attending alternative school, I entered the company because I wanted to and I have strongly prepared my heart for it so I don’t feel locked up. I can’t bear dissatisfaction well. I used to live really freely, but I feel comfortable doing what I was told to do. (smile) I have a lot of worries how to do it this time since there were a lot of times when I considered stopping dancing. Q: A lot of energy needs to be put to dance ‘Candy Jelly Love’. You seem different from people who never danced before. JYI: When I learned how to dance back then, I heard that my hands are pretty but I have no energy in my body a lot of times. I hear the same thing here as well. But since the dance is a group dance, I give more energy to it. While matching the moves one by one, if we make one mistake we have to repeat it again and I feel sorry for that. That’s why I put such a huge energy to it. When I first did it, my body was sore all over. Q: What was the hardest thing from dancing the routine? JYI: When you put so much energy your expression doesn’t come out well, when you put on a pretty face you don’t have energy. Since we’re looking for the camera, we don’t concentrate well. Doing it once is not enough. At first, there is a video where I put so much energy that my eyes lost focus. Q: In the second verse there is a part when you receive a one shot, you must think a lot how you should look in front of the camera. JYI: When I first monitored that part, I was shocked that I looked really terrible. Since I was thinking that all people saw how ugly I came out (on camera) (smile) I was swarmed and learned how to make pretty faces as I thought “I must look pretty no matter whatâ€. Q: Do you have a know-how in smiling preetily? JYI: I have thin lips and it looks weird when I shut it too hard. You will come out well if you smile widely or when your eyes are open wide. Q: There are times when you receive more attention as the youngest. Is there anything that you remember from all the reactions the fans gave you? JYI: I never heard that I look like a bunny before, but here I heard that I look like a bunny a lot of times. Even though I’m the youngest, I heard that I look brusque a lot. I originally don’t have a lot of aegyo*since I’m the oldest in my family. I can’t help but to do aegyo as I came as the youngest. When I make a mistake while dancing, my aegyo just come out. (smile) Q: It seems like you know more about yourself after debut. JYI: I have become bright since I came here. I’m originally bright and talk a lot, but I started to talk less since I hurt my ankles. I had a lot of thoughts, which high school I should go to. I went to audition so that question has been put off, but since I came here I do what I want to do, I sing and dance. My personality has become much brighter because of that. I think it’s wonderful that when I feel sensitive the onnies cover up for me a lot and they point out the things that I can’t do well as well. People on broadcast said that once I live in the entertainment world I will forget what I truly am. I’m planning to be active for at least 7 years; I hope I won’t forget who I am. Of course my personality changes, but it would be nice if I don’t forget my own self-confidence. Q: No matter how you see it, your ankle injury was the changing point. JYI: As I hurt my ankle, a lot of things happened. I stopped dancing, I went to audition, and I didn’t know I would transfer school and see a touching announcement. I don’t think I know life. I can really sympathize. *cute acts/gestures CR: EKI of @WoollimGirls

  13. Yes option 3 please don't want people hating on her more just because they got used to a 7 member group. I think they should focus more on Korea first. If they go to Japan this early they probably get more hate in Korea. Jisoo~ah
  14. Hi Guys Dropping to say EXID did really good I'm impressed by all the hard work wish you guys all the very best for Inkigayo! I honestly hope that EXID can get that first win! I'm rooting for you guys! Good Luck!
  15. If it's really the goodbye stage tomorrow I feel mixed emotions. Happy because it would mean that they will have some rest. Sad because I'll miss them. Anxious because we will be anticipating their next comeback. I think this would be the perfect time to do varieties and guestings. Who know's that would be the reason why Sujeong will be an MC for BEST OF THE BEST. Exposure one by one. Starting with those who are currently popular.
