So everyone over at viki is gushing over the older brother/serial killer, and I just totally don't see the attraction. His hair especially just really bothers me.

I just love that scene at the ice rink. It's so touching to see how much happiness Nam Da Jung has brought this very lonely family. Every scene with between her and Man Se are just aww worthy and I'm so glad the other two kids are coming around as well! I feel like she was probably a very lonely person before meeting the PM. Before she only had her dad, but now she also has a full family to take care of and love (Even if at this point, it's still a fake family. Tho I'm sure with the way things are going it won't be a fake family for much longer) It's ironic that the 'fake' couple act more real than the actual couple (the uncle and his wife)

Right!! I totally loved their relationship more when he thought she was guy. He saw her as an opponent of equal skill, but now that she's a girl it's all 'oh she's to fragile to take care of herself' They definitely had more of a spark in the beginning and as of late it has definitely dwindled down. Sad cause I really do want to like them together I don't know if it's the acting or the script but his character is not all that interesting. I mean that whole silk road storyline was really kinda boring.

Empress Dowager is just so badass. I think she might be my favorite character so far. I like how she's not afraid to play dirty. She knows what she has to do to succeed and she gets it done. Watching ep 16 and I just cant help but be annoyed at how Wang Yoo is acting. He really needs to stop treating Seungnyang as some little weakling. I mean come on, she's a freaking warrior! She is very much capable of taking care of herself. She's smart and strong and she is trying to protect her country, so what right does he have to try to stop her? I don't care that he's in love with her and just doing this "for her own good" but love isn't about trying to restrict the other person.

I just love the heroine so much. All her diva antics are so hilarious to me. I love that she's prideful, arrogant, and stubborn but when you look past all that you find somebody who is very vulnerable and sweet. I love how she stood up for her actress friend when those girls were ignoring her, and how she doesn't let herself be trampled on and instead speaks up for herself. Chun Song Yi along with Jang Hye Sung from I Hear Your Voice are probably gonna end up as my favorite kdrama heroines of the year.

yepp. Her being dragged around was one of the only conflicts I can remember from the beginning part of the show. It was especially annoying how so many of the episodes ended with Eun Sang, Kim Tan and Young Do all just randomly staring at each other, it just made the whole thing seem so much more repetitive.

Ugh thats what makes me so mad! That these really problematic things aren't actually addressed as being problematic, but are instead glorified and romanticized. And it's not just this drama, so many others have, and will continue to push these tiresome sexist ideas. Yepp. I've also noticed that some kdrama male characters tend to be very dominant, possessive, and extremely jealous, while the female characters have a tendency to become passive. One example of this would be that whole wrist grabbing thing, like that is honestly just one of the most infuriating things ever.
