  1. That's true actually... he's still way too amused by it YASSSS. Primarily I ship Myungjong obviously, but Myungyeoljong is just so great. Like Infinite F is easily everything I've ever wanted and more from a subunit -
  2. You're preaching to the choir here man. Most people here have been fans for long enough and have enough common sense to realize that fanservice sells. That's precisely why games like the paper game exist. People are naive if they genuinely think companies and hosts just randomly get a line of cute boys together to pass a thin piece of paper between their lips using nothing but air. No. They do it because it gets fangirls (and some fanboys) hot and bothered. There are also more subtle forms of fanservice obviously. We understand that. But the thing is, every idol being mentioned here once or twice is not the same as all of us thinking every male idol is gay. Some are brought up just so we can all say "They're most likely straight. Moving on" and some who are brought up are thought to be gay by some and not by others. If that's 'delusional' to you, I don't know what more I can say. Also I take offense to you saying 'see how a real closeted gay couple would act like'. That could not be a more ignorant thing to say if you tried. First of all, there is no correct way to act like a closeted gay couple. If you're closeted, gay and in a secret relationship DINGDINGDING you're a real closeted gay couple. There are no requirements other than that, because *shock horror* gay people are all different!! I know this might be hard for you to grasp, but we all do things in different ways and that includes the way we handle being closeted. Omg, if he was in between them he'd be running for the next Changmin
  3. Thanks bb I just did a very quick sweep through of the myungjong tag, so if there's anything I missed it's probably because it wasn't in there~ Besides, I couldn't possible include everything even if I wanted to Edit: I checked back and I found these
  4. I'm 99% sure this is going to make me sound pissy, but since I keep getting negged (even as we speak. literally right now) and the mods tell me I'm not getting neg stalked, I openly invite whoever has such a problem with me to just tell me what it is. I mean, I'm all ears at this point.
  5. /falls into the thread So... I feel like I disappeared again. There is a very good reason though! I had about a week to get all my school work done, or else I was completely going to fail everything. Then I got sick for a few days, but nevertheless I am back!! I haven't quoted some people back yet (sorry @chillwave if you're still around and hopefully you don't hate me by now ) but before I do that I have some offerings in apology for my absence (More) hand holding, just because it will legitimately never get old Mutual petting... Cloud related SNS updates on the same day (Myungsoo on Instagram, Sungjong on Twitter) And... that...
  6. Hi guys I got negged multiple times last night (?) seemingly by one person on separate posts complaining about getting incessantly negged for no reason I don't know if that counts as neg stalking, but I thought I'd run it by you guys just in case~
  7. Holy. shit. I could legitimately not quote or even multiquote anyone for three days. I was about ready to throw my computer up against the wall ngl Hi!! I'm like 99% sure I'm the K-fan who described his sexuality as an open secret (or at least one of the K-fans who did) so I thought it'd be appropriate for me to answer you~ I've also been an Inspirit since Infinite's debut, which I just thought I'd mention in order to give some insight into how long I've liked them and precisely how long I've thought this for Addressing one of your first points, I agree someone being awkward around the opposite sex is by no means conclusive proof at all, but for me there is a contrasting difference between being awkward and just being uninterested. When Myungsoo is around some guys, he doesn't just look comfortable, he turns into a giant flirt and clearly puts the moves on. I can't say I have ever seen him do that with a girl - and if his ideal type is to be believed (innocent girl with long wavy hair) then there's no shortage of the 'right girl' around him at any given time. I don't want to comment too much on his relationship with Sungjong (because we could seriously be here all day) but because you touched on how they are behind the scenes, I wanted to add that it is very much true that when they're not working they go out together all the time, which I don't think they'd even consider doing if they didn't care about each other. In fact, they just went out to dinner to a restaurant together a few days ago: source (though it's in Korean). But it does highly depend on what you mean by ping to be honest. He's obviously not a highly flamboyant person and I guess that kind of falls back on the discussion about stereotypes that we just had here. There is one interview that immediately comes to mind though and while it's not at all something I enjoy talking about I think it's highly fitting. Now one reason I highly, highly respect Myungsoo (and there are a lot of reasons) is that during this interview he didn't do what so many male idols have done before him and insult the LGBT+ community while scrambling to give a 'convincing' sounding answer. Every time I've seen other idols asked this question they say something horribly offensive like "Of course I'm not gay. I'm a normal guy. Every normal guy likes women". He also didn't punch the hosts in the face, which I think is quite the achievement. But in all seriousness, those last two gifs are physically hard for me to watch. It is written all over his face how uncomfortable he is and as someone who was outed by a douche bag like Shindong it physically makes my stomach turn. It's especially awful when you pair it with the fact that they did the exact same thing to Sungjong the very next time Infinite appeared on Beatle's Code. They also didn't do it to any other member either - just those two. Makes me think they knew exactly what they were doing. On a lighter note there was the time Sunggyu told him that he's attractive to men too and he seemed pretty happy about that: He's also really good with his fanboys - sometimes even doing extra fanservice for them. Like in this video where he made a point of approaching a gay fanboy in a sea of fangirls and i'm like 99% sure he made that boys year tbh. Also this happened: Hong Seokcheon said on a radio show yesterday that recently he's got interested in Myungsoo & he has talked to him on the phone once. Hong Seokcheon said Myungsoo most likely will not betray him like Jo Insung (in other words by getting a serious girlfriend like he did) & he likes Myungsoo because MS is handsome. HSC said he told Jaejoong that he's fan of Myungsoo and likes him so Jaejoong calls Myungsoo on the phone and let HSC talked to Myungsoo. Those are just a few of the reasons I think Myungsoo is gay and not straight or bi. I wish I could have touched on everything, but I couldn't possibly, so hopefully this covers it
  8. Tried that just now, still doesn't seem to be working I don't think I can even turn it on tbh, bc the stuff (?) that usually shows up at the top of the post box isn't even showing up for me at the moment :/ Only on that thread tho...
  9. Hey guys, for some reason the multiquote function isn't working for me, but it's only when I try to multiquote in this thread. I tested it in a couple of other threads and it works there, but when I try to multiquote in that particular thread the quoted posts don't show up in the post box at the bottom
  10. True, though I'm sure they hope their incessant negging will stop us one day tbh!! Still, I wouldn't at all rule out that it's a jealousy thing. Maybe because we all stand by our convictions and still have quite good reps around here? Idk their logic escapes me at the best of times
  11. Hi!! You're right it is quite immature. I mean, shipping aside, someone legitimately negged my post about how many times I used to get negged, so that probably says a lot about this. Anyway, I too look forward to seeing more of your posts in the future
  12. I'll be honest, I used to be the kind of person who got into shipwars with other fans a lot. I'm by no means proud of it, but in my defense it's just something Inspirits (or more specifically Myungjong and Myungyeol shippers) used to do a lot a few years ago. Since then the fandom as a whole has grown up a tremendous amount, some people have left, new people have joined and it isn't something that happens nearly as much anymore. I personally don't engage in it at all now, but the point is I did and looking back I'm not even sure why. I firmly believe now that if you truly think your otp is real in any sense of the word - which most shippers do in my experience - you don't need to bring anyone else's ship down to bring yours up because you know their ship has no impact on yours whatsoever. That's why I tend to think people who start shipwars are kind of insecure and probably see the other person's ship as a genuine 'threat' - and I had to learn that the hard way. This sounds like a self-help book for shippers, but I think if there is a lesson here it's that shipping should make people happy and it should be fun. The minute that it isn't anymore it's probably time to take a step back and ask yourself why it isn't. Oh, I agree! The crazy thing is that some fans genuinely believe it's more likely for an idol to date one of them than it is for them to date their group mate Now idk about you, but I'd much rather date someone who I have an intimate relationship with, I spend most of my time with and I know extremely well than some random person I hardly know who used to be an obsessive fan of mine, could have any ulterior motives and might spill everything as soon as we break up. There is also the issue of the hypothetical idol in question being gay and most of their fans being of the opposite sex, which also rules out the whole mutual attraction thing usually. But yeah, that's fairly accurate in my experience~ I mean, it's obviously still something they have to keep quiet and out of the public eye (or they risk losing their career altogether) but there's more room for being open than there would be in other career paths. It also means connecting with a lot of people in the very same boat as them, so while it still might not be ideal, it's a hell of a lot better than the alternative tbh...
  13. Exactly! Though to be honest, I don't even understand people who get genuinely mad over any kind of shipping. If they disagree with the ship in question it is not that hard to make a post explaining why and if they don't want to go to those lengths they should just ignore it. Like there are some ships that I will honestly never understand in my lifetime; but rather than making a show of that fact, or attacking people who do ship it, I stick to my own ships and just ignore theirs. There are much worse things in the world than shipping and as you said, the idea of two band mates falling in love and dating is not at all a far-fetched concept. People fall in love regardless of circumstance all the time and being in a Kpop group is by no means an exception.
  14. When I joined this thread I thought we'd be discussing which idols we think are happy, so the title is clearly false advertising tbh!!!!
  15. Ahh, my mistake! There you go then, it seems someone around here (multiple people maybe?) just really hates anything mildly related to shipping. Which kind of confuses me given the fact that where there is discussion about potentially gay idols there will be discussion about potential couples as well. I honestly don't know what else they were expecting
  16. So shipping does seem to be the common denominator so far - at least in terms of Myungjong, Jren and Taohun. I think Gunheechul shippers tend to be left alone, but if someone has experienced otherwise feel free to correct me~
  17. Because I apparently can’t let this go, I just have to say I’ve never understood why you would neg someone just because you dislike them to be honest. In most cases it means completely disregarding the content of someone’s posts and being like “I know, I’ll just neg five random posts of theirs. That’ll show them!!â€. Because if it is about the content of their posts (which I have a hard time believing it is) then how hard is it to write up your own post explaining why you disagree with the person’s points? The rest of us seem to manage it just fine, while being completely respectful for the most part. And yes, I’ll be the first person to admit it did and still does bother me. I know it has no serious, horrible impact on anything, but looking back on when it happened to me I expressed multiple times that I was bothered by it and while everyone here was wonderful about it and 1+’ed me when they saw it happen, it certainly didn’t deter whoever it was from doing it. In fact, it just made them try harder. Which tells me it really didn’t have anything to do with what I was saying, it had everything to do with the fact that they had an issue with me specifically. I also expressed earlier that it might be a shipping thing and the reason I think that is because I remember exactly when it started for me. It was right after Myungsoo’s ‘dating scandal’ when I didn’t shy away from expressing exactly what I thought about it (i.e. that I thought it was absolute bullshit) and then continued to post Myungjong-related stuff. Before that I had a legitimately near-perfect rep and had only been negged once or twice for anything. Then following that I kept noticing the same thing happening to other ‘shippers’ – or even people who would be labelled shippers for passionately believing in one or two pairings. It might not have had anything to do with that though and it might have been more specifically related to the influx of lurkers that joined the thread around that time; so I might be completely wrong on that front. Because I have since found out that there are a few people – specifically Inspirits – who have lurked around here before who adamantly hate me and aren’t shy about expressing that fact. Having said that though I sincerely don’t believe they’d target users from other fandoms, so I do suspect it’s a thread-specific problem rather than a... me-specific problem tbh. Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest and I realize now it's kind of completely OT!!
  18. When it happened to me I was really weirded out by it because while it was a consistent number of negs every night, the posts had absolutely nothing to do with each other. I've also seen other people say that the same thing has happened to them, so it really is... weird to say the least. I could see it being less active members doing it as well - or even lurkers from other parts of the forum who just blindly hate us all tbh.
  19. Is there any better kind of tangent than a butt tangent? Okay, I'll stop.
  20. But... how is posting a picture of Heechul any more on topic than posting a picture of Sungjong??
