Which male idols do you think are gay?
milk-caramel replied to cold soba's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
Oh my God, sometimes I forget Key did WGM!! Then it all comes back to me But yeah, rumors spreading tends to be the main instigator for idols pulling a complete 180 as far as their images are concerned. I guess I just miss the days of this and this AND THIS Oh how lucky we were. -

I think Key has become somewhat more subdued. Still completely fabulous, just not as... out there with it. -

Ahh see I don't follow many of the really new boy groups, so if they have performed girl group covers I have probably missed them I hope Ren sticks with it though, because while they're all really different people he is in the same vein as Kevin, Key and Sungjong. I would hate to see him undergo the same pressures that they've had to. -

Kevin as well really All the members of boy groups who were most known for it back in the day barely do it anymore from what I have noticed. With Sungjong it makes me especially sad though, because it's something he loved doing so much. To the point that he used to practice in the dorm bathroom when he was banned from doing them. The fact that his 'image' and what fans think is more important than him doing what he loves is really, really sad to me. -

Oh my God, this reminded me of why I will never be able to look at the word 'daddy' innocently ever again. Thanks for that Tumblr Oh, I see what you mean. I agree with you, I think it's incredibly clear that they're best friends and have always had an incredibly strong bond in that sense. I disagree with people who think they're platonic best friends though, because there is definitely a palpable level of attraction there as well imo. That doesn't even make sense looking at their relationship impartially. They're around the same age (a year apart to be precise) and they're around the same maturity level as well. How is that reflective of a father and son relationship at all??? -

To be fair people can be best friends and romantic partners, the two don't cancel each other out necessarily. His father though?? That's like when people say they're "brothers". Incest isn't cute kids. -

Speaking of Sungjong and his girl group dances... I mean, I don't think it comes as a surprise to any of us that this is his reasoning - especially Sungjong stans, but it's still so saddening This is why it drives me nuts when people 'defend' his sexuality, or go on and on about how 'manly' he is or should be. Now, because of people who claim to be his fans he's had to stop doing something he obviously loves doing. -

Don't worry, being a little crazy is definitely not a bad thing Especially because sometimes the best conversations a person can have are with themselves~ -

Don't be sorry!! It was a completely genuine question, coming from a good place It was also interesting to see what people in the rest of the forum thought when it was asked to them. There is now a clearer idea of who is stanning their biases for selfish reasons and who isn't. -

I think you would have received some similar answers but whether their actual actions reflect that or not... well -

Oh yeah, I think that's blatantly clear. All it takes is five minutes outside of this thread and you quickly realize that most fans don't exactly... feel the same way we do. -

I honestly don't think there is a single person who regularly posts in this thread that would turn their back on their bias if they came out. Or at least... I sincerely hope not. I would personally support them 110%. I mean, it's not even a question to me. Namely because I myself am gay so it would be kind of hypocritical if I was like "I don't like you anymore. Get off my lawn!! Young kids with your gays and your mypads and whatnot". Not just that, but I realize their personal lives are really none of my business. Or I don't - and shouldn't - get a say at least. It sounds cheesy but they can date whoever they want as long as they're being safe, it's consensual and they're ultimately not hurting anybody. -

Girl are you not the one who made that thread about Baekyeon being this huge cover up for the 'true love' that is Taeny? Please make up your goddamn mind :-) -

I think that's the issue - when fans say "i'd be happier if my ship was real than if my bias was dating another girl" they don't mean they'd be happy for their bias if they were gay and got themselves a boyfriend, what they really mean is they'd be unhappy if he got himself a girlfriend who was not them. They try and play it off like there is no difference, but there really is. It's also honestly just as bad, because the bottom line is it's still conditional -

I am honestly getting so sick of some fans trying to erase any identities that aren't straight identities. At first it was just with idols, which isn't okay, but they're in very public positions so it's almost to be expected. But now fans are doing it with other fans and that just isn't okay. [+16, -5] Who cares ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ even women find female celebrities pretty or cute too This comment for example, yes women find female celebrities pretty or cute but some of us are also lesbians, or bisexual. Stop erasing our identities because us liking your idols makes you uncomfortable and you're trying to prove a very flawed point. It is time for the Kpop fandom at large to wake up and realize that not everyone is straight. Asserting otherwise is not offensive and straight people should be secure enough in their own identities that the word gay doesn't make them break out in hives. -
Who do you think is a lesbian in kpop?
milk-caramel replied to Pyo Hyemi's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
It's no big deal :) Honestly I just like being impartial regarding these kinds of cases and dealing with Korean and International fans on a regular basis provides you with the insight that neither are in a position to take a moral high-ground when it comes to things like this. Both have things they need to work on, so I can't with the attitude that i-fans are committing some unholy sin here. -

Oh my God, everyone is aware that the interview is 8 years old. I can count five or six different instances where that has been pointed out on this forum alone, so you can quit with your holier-than-thou attitude. You are not the first to point this out, nor are you the first to blame all of this on i-fans. I will start by saying i-fans are often abrasive, rude and cannot keep their mouths shut for the life of them. I call them out for this all the time, however, in this instance they cannot be blamed solely for Yuri or the BI being dragged up again. In fact, a lot of people brought it up because of comments that Korean fans made recently bringing up Yuri. It's possible they weren't there 8 years ago to witness this go down the first time, but I wouldn't know because fans do not in fact walk around with flashing numbers on their foreheads detailing how many years they have been members of this fandom. Things have gotten out from heavily guarded Korean forums before and if you're a Sone I'm sure you're fully aware of what they are. Those instances cannot possibly be blamed on international fans, because it's pieces of information that only Korean fans had access to. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the dragging of i-fans who jump the gun, but Korean fans are never completely innocent so let's not get it twisted. Korean fans that is, not just antis.
