I'm not particularly mad. I get irritated at the blatant inconsistencies of this thread, as mentioned earlier. I get irritated when people believe something to be a fact, based on actions that they previously dismissed. So it's not fundamentally about Taohun and Sekai, or even Sehun being gay — those are all opinions and can be handled. It's about the hypocrisy and the bias that lead to those opinions.

I don't know if this has been shared here yet, but in a recent interview, Tao claimed, "I was alone for 4 years." I'm going to try and make them as simple as I can for you. Let me get this straight. Your argument is: someone can't exhibit romantic feelings or actions towards someone unless they're in a relationship, and a guy can't exhibit romantic feelings or actions towards another guy (even his best friend) unless he's gay. This is completely disregarding the fact that romance has nothing to do with relationships, or sexual orientation. I mean you brought up platonic, which is funny, because platonic does not mean nonromantic. It means nonsexual. Platonic relationships refer to the relationship ideal posited by Plato. To Plato, relationships should be based upon the emotional and spiritual development of those involved; The form of the relationship is not important. So it is entirely possible to have romantic platonic relationships. Common sense should tell you that the feeling of intense love that one feels for a friend, but doesn't desire a relationship with, is a 'romantic friendship'. ESPECIALLY when you (are finally able to) understand what romance means: romance is closeness, affection, compassion, and affinity. It's simply the expressive and pleasurable feeling one feels towards another person. Much like the way someone would feel towards his or her best friend. And sure, someone who can feel romantic love for someone but no sexual attraction can be asexual....IF they're asexual. Take Sehun and Kai for example. Sehun and Kai obviously aren't asexuals. They've both shown extreme sexual interest in women. Yet, they have a platonic(=sexless) friendship with displays of romantic love, as shown by their deep bond, affection, companionship, trust, and longing to be around each other. So what, are you now going to claim that Sekai are asexual because they don't fuck?

I don't know why you people just can't admit that D.O. is straight. If a dude doesn't ping you and you can't figure him out, he's more than likely straight. This tells us that they are not exclusive, and that they all describe a specific type of love. So before you can begin to act smart and enter into this discussion with me, you need to do a quick Google search and come to an understanding of what each type of love means fully and encompasses. However, that doesn't even matter, because despite what you might think (which isn't taken seriously seeing as you're not a sexologist, sex therapist, or a sociologist), people who identify as heterosexual CAN and often DO have romantic feelings/love for the same sex. Straight people can desire companionship, affection, and intimacy from the same sex, and still identity as straight. Look at it this way: If two girls were giggling together and being touchy-feely, most people would think they're close friends. However, if you were to swap a girl out with a guy, people would see their interactions differently, and think that they are a couple or romantically involved (even if they're purely platonic in reality). Basically, you along with people like you are unable to register very visible feelings of romance unless they're attached to a relationship. You don't seem to understand that "romance" is all around us. "Romance" can be just wanting to spend time with a person and the special glances and feelings that are felt when in each other's company. Romance can be just the little things that people do for each other. I mean, a girl can treat her female friend the way she would a boyfriend or a partner, such as buying her things or cuddling or wanting to spend time with her, and that doesn't make her a lesbian. Female friendships are often times very close and affectionate, and sometimes intimate, but the girls are not attracted to each other and don't identify as bi/lesbian in any shape or form. And they don't have to be, for reasons explained above. TL;DR Romantic love can be completely platonic in nature. There can be no trace of sexuality in it. A gay guy can feel it for a straight girl, and a straight man can feel it for a straight man. It can be anything from spiritual, intellectual, emotional, etc. Of course it can encompass all of them, and also be sexual. But they are not mutually exclusive.
