  1. I don't know about signing with Banana, I want a real new start for them. They've never done much in China anyway aside from concerts, fanmeetings etc. and they can keep doing them even if it's not with that agency. Of course, it's another thing entirely if they still have time left on that contract.
  2. Bless they're finally free!!!! I hope for more dramas for Eunjung and Jiyeon
  3. Ugh yes a bolder loveline + dark Won was all I wanted. I was so looking forward to that scene you mentioned, where San slashed Won with the dagger (except this time I thought she'd use the bird hairpin since he didn't gift her a dagger in the drama) And yes to Songin too, his end was so aticlimatic and frankly I thought the whole poison scheme at the end was sloppy. (I'm relieved it ended too because I couldn't stand the shipper wars lmao)
  4. Since like you said the drama's over here are some answers to questions that were also posted by eMopRiNc3ss69x
  5. Well if there was any room for doubt (which for me there wasn't) Yoona confirmed San loves Rin in an interview so that's that. Ahh I wonder when I'll get another otp I ship so much as RinSan (well I still have Jiwon/her guy in Age of Youth 2 lol) And yeah everything with secondary characters was rushed, I was not the biggest Biyeon fan but they still could've showed her reaction to Mooseok's death and having one last chat with San.
  6. Yeah same, I don't think the politics were very well done in the last 4 eps and it was rushed. Same about your RinSan thoughts too, they were clearly the romantic OTP but I still wish the drama went bolder with them lol (would it have hurt them to do one more kiss pfft). But there are people who weren't going to be convinced no matter what, I was joking it wouldn't matter even if RinSan popped 4 children lmaoo I wish the drama went bolder with Won's dark side too but you gotta make the male lead of a youth drama shippable I guess... Overall I'm both happy and meh, more meh than happy at the last couple episodes but still I'm glad I got to see the pretty costumes and Jonghyun and Yoona's chemistry. Also WonSanRin and Won/the king were cute/funny this episode. Now I want to read post drama interviews
  7. For the people who waited for this drama since 2016, how did you find it overall? I liked sme things and disliked others. The ending was just about what I expected.
  8. idk where all the tension from ep 18 went, they solved it so fast and the poison thing is not compelling enough to me Anyway who's ready for the open ending
  9. Viki but it's a Viki pass show so it will be available in 2/4 weeks I believe?
  10. Text preview (cr. bodashiri on Tumblr) 33. Even if you are so beautiful, I shouldn’t have loved you. (아무리 ê³ ì™€ë„ ì¢‹ì•„í•˜ì§€ ë§ê±¸.) 34. But now, are you stabbing a dagger in my back? (í—Œë°, ì´ì œ ë‚´ ë“±ì— ì¹¼ì„ ë“¤ì´ëŒ€?) Rin notifies Won of his marriage with San, but Won makes Rin detained in custody and takes San to his place. Whereupon, Rin cooperates with Yi Seung-Hyu to make a scheme to look for San, and starts to deliver an attack against Won. Meanwhile, San escapes from the Crown Prince’s palace, but she receives a sad news when she is about to leave. translation of the video preview: Won : You are imprudent enough to get in the Crown Prince’s way right now. Rin : Please, approve of my marriage. I’ll take Lady San. Won : I said I wouldn’t. San : I’ve come to ask a favor of you. Won : Stop it. San : I lied to you. Won : San, even you did it to me, too. Princess Wonseong : Help me, because you are his friend. Rin : It is too late. The Crown Prince is not my friend any longer. Won : Which do you want? Eun San, or my position? Why didn’t you tell me to give (it/her) to you? Rin : Please let go of (me/her), to keep me from going against Your Highness. I know previews have been misleading before but I'm seriously considering not watching until it's done, I really don't want to be burned...
  11. I just don't want a copout ending in which we never learn who she loves romantically. There are spoiler bts pics circulating before the drama even started but I'm still scared they're gonna pull some bs, especially the MBC version.
  12. I'm 100% expecting Mooseok to die lol I'm super bummed about no Dark Won ugh it was one of the main reasons I was excited for this drama. It's like they changed their minds after giving little hints during the first half.
  13. Yeah they're in the OneTV Asia version (the version that airs with eng subs at the same time as the kversion) It's a bit of a hassle for me to link since I'm on mobile but you can check the TheKinginLove hashtag on twitter, someone posted today's cut scenes. Sometimes they add scenes in different order in different episodes but it seems like these ones are just edited out -_-
  14. They cut RinSan related scenes from the k-version AGAIN ugh if they cut important stuff from the finale is2g
  15. I don't think they'll make Won as dark as in the novel anymore, not with only 3 weeks left. Ugh I really don't want an open ending D:
  16. I like soompi for the nice recappers and the people who give cultural insights, historical facts and the meanings of scenes when the subs aren't 100% accurate but people also go really overboard with the reaching sometimes... I remember when I was a regular on Temptation's thread... *shudders* New episode today yayy
  17. I can see an open ending where San leaves but I'll flip tables if that happens lol
  18. I was kinda expecting Jealousy Incarnate Goryeo and got Reply Goryeo instead lmao
  19. Omg when he was subtly warning Rin off I was like yesss it's starting lmao
  20. The King in Love Ep. 1~4 Historical background to help understand The King in Love (2017 MBC) Yi Seung-Hyu : You said your name was Han-Cheon ? Wang Won : Yes. Yi Seung-Hyu : On the left side of that name, the Chinese character Eon for “speech†is supposed to be added, isn’t it? Wang Won : (surprised) Yi Seung-Hyu : Han for “shore†and Cheon for “fountainâ€â€¦ combined together, Won for “endlessâ€. Wang Won : You must be thinking further than you should be. Yi Seung-Hyu : I want to boast to you that I found out your identity through Paja (meaning “wordplayâ€), but I’ve seen you before, a long time ago. You are still the way you used to be. How have you been, Crown prince. â– Alias breakdown through Paja (“wordplayâ€) Paja (íŒŒìž ç ´å—) is an old-fashioned wordplay using the fact that some Chinese characters are combination of existing characters. According to the Paja rule, our two boys’ aliases break down as follow. 謜 ì› Won (meaning “endlessâ€) = 言 ì–¸ Eon (“speechâ€) + 厂 한 Han (“shore, hillsideâ€) + 泉 천 Cheon (“fountain, springâ€) æ½¾ 린 Rin (meaning “clear, crystalline purityâ€) = æ°´ 수 Soo (“waterâ€) + 粦 ì¸ In (“goblin’s fire, ignis fatuus, will o’ the wispâ€) That’s why Won is Han-Cheon and Rin is Soo-In. By the way, San (çŠ ì‚°) means “coral†in Chinese character. So, there is a scene where Crown Prince Won presents her with a coral dagger in the original novel. Her alias in the drama is So-Hwa (소화 å°èб), but the English subtitle made a mistake. It is not So-Ah (little kid) but So-Hwa (little flower).
