  1. This week update // 12th week (13-19 March) // 405,947+

    • Dumb Dumb finally surpasses the 1,000,000 DLs mark with 20,648+ added (+1,003,054 in total). The song didn't even move in the week charts and got more sales than the 2 last week!

    • The STATION duet with Wendy, Spring Love has 74,437+ for this week (297,902+ in total).

    • And FINALLY, The Velvet is here!
One Of These Nights : 126,432+

Cool Hot Sweet Love : 54,294+

    Rose Scent Breeze : 46,944+

    First Time : 43,283+

    Light Me Up : 39,909+

    TOTAL : 310,862+

    • One Of These Nights ranks #5, and is the only idol song with Lee Hi & MAMAMOO in TOP 10. To compare, Dumb Dumb (#1) got 175k in one week and Ice Cream Cake (#3) got 145k.
    • Physically, The Velvet ranks first on the weekly chart, but we'll have to wait for Monthly Chart to know the sales! As of now, they are doing good on Hanteo. The album reached around 35k in one week.

Total digital sales goes from 3,320,387 to 3,726,334+ !

Lee hi isn't considered an Idol tho. But yay for red velvet doing well. I still don't understand why people slept on One of these nights! It's such a good song and I like that the girls tried showing a different side.

  2. He should be congratulated on writing a really great song...and I think Hayi was the right choice to sing the song. Her expression of the song is perfect in my mind. It's not just the high climax parts that make the song so good. It's also the low, soothing tones that make up about 70% of the song. Hayi's one of the few singers who can do justice to every note. I've heard a few covers with great high notes, belted out with fantastic drama, but they usually make a muddle of the lower-register notes in the rest of the song.

I keep saying this. The song is good but I don’t think anyone else can pull it off like hayi, her voices makes the song.

  3. YG announced that Hayi, Epik High and iKon are going to be doing concerts in China later this year. I hope Hayi will do a lot of her album songs. She usually only does the promoted "title" songs from her albums. But I think fans would love it if she did other songs too (with concert-appropriate arrangements), like "Passing By", "Up All Night", "Missing You", etc., etc. Epik High and iKon will be there, so it should be possible for her to do an Up All Night performance with Tablo and a "Video" performance with Bobby.http://osen.mt.co.kr/article/G1110426062(Article in Korean)

I really hope she does. Her b songs are amazing, I listen to them all. Plus they actually sell well so I don't see why they don't promote them all

  4. did yg quit being chairman?

featuring on someone elses music. wow

I think hes too busy focused on the groups so hayi can do whatever she wants lol

I'm so happy tho. I can't wait. Hayi has actually had the most interactions and feature with non YG people and for that I thank Tablo/Hgrnd♡♡♡

I wonder if there is an MV, probably not.

  5. I loved the Immortal Song performance. I was worried because they recorded it when her cold/flu symptoms were quite bad. But for that kind of song (rock ballad), it actually worked out quite nicely. Her introductory part was fantastic (and I'd love to see her write/sing a song that emphasizes that style in the future). I also really loved the "ahh-ahh-ah-ah-ah" chorus toward the end.

The harmonies on the chorus parts weren't the polished/precision harmonies that are expected for typical pop songs. They weren't intended to be IMO. In fact, they were for the most part sung in slightly discordant unison lines, which is fitting for a rock ballad. It's supposed to sound raw and gritty in those parts. (That's rock. If it sounds too polished and over-rehearsed, rock purists will complain.)

In any case, people come with their own expectations. Some people love high-note climaxes, so they tend to give more points to whoever hits the highest note. Some people like ultra-polished harmonies. Each style and approach has its place. For this type of song and collaboration, though, I think it was a really fun and moving interpretation of the song. It made me want to hear more of these types of collaborations from Hayi...

Same. I'm hoping we get alot more. I'm so traumatized of her being gone for 3 years, I dread the day she goes back to the dungeon for god knows how long😢😭😭
