When I clicked on that link, the top song was some OST track, not Excuse Me. So maybe they use that spot to promote a random song, and when you were on the page it was Excuse Me's turn? It doesn't have a rank number next to it, so I can't imagine what else it would be. Maybe it's "bubbling under" Edit: yeah, what jay said

Personally I'm sick of every kpop girl group concept having to be either cute or sexy. Never both and never anything else. I blame the media and the fanbases for perpetuating it, tbh. Like, some groups put a lot of effort into their work, and people are just like "hmm, cute or sexy?" Boy groups don't have to deal with that, I don't think. What I love about the Excuse Me MV is that the girls look great and do have some sexy moves, but the entire concept isn't just sexy. It has a humorous plot and an all around energetic, fun vibe that fits the song perfectly. Why put it in a box? That's also why I love Orange Caramel - good music and interesting concepts that aren't easily classified based on sex appeal.

I don't think Facebook just counts intentional plays, though - I think it also counts people who are scrolling down their newsfeed and trigger the video's auto-play (for anyone who doesn't have facebook, videos start to play automatically as soon as you reach them in your feed, you don't have to hit a "play" button anymore). I could be wrong, but it's possible their viewcount isn't an actual indicator of how many people WATCHED the video. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong!

I agree with everything that's been said about this. Ultimately it takes WORK to make it in America. No matter how big you are in Korea (SNSD, Wonder Girls, BoA) or Japan (Utada, also BoA lol) you're basically starting from scratch when you enter the American market. So you have to promote a lot here, and you have to keep promoting even when your first single barely breaks the Hot 100. You can't just waltz into the US and expect to go Top 40 right away. Psy obviously made it big here but that was the exception, not the rule. It's not usually that easy. I think CL is poised to do well; she's working with well-known American producers, meeting a lot of American celebrities, and has the backing of a big international fanbase. It'll be interesting to see how well she does the first time around. But if she doesn't make it big right away, I hope she'll stick around to continue building an American fanbase, cuz it could be good for the hallyu as a whole for an artist to really put effort in here in the states. /end ramble

I was watching a kpop video from another group that came out three years ago and it only had 25k views total BESTie is really rising!

Yeah! Firefox has something similar I was using. Though I think YouTube only counts a certain number of views from a particular IP address per day. (I'm on an American pop forum and they were talking about that. American pop fandoms are REALLY into the number of YT views their fave gets in the first 24 hours. Someone said you can only do like 300 a day, I think.)

About the movie Shine's going to be in: "A child is kidnapped. The child's father receives help from an assistant in his dreams and attempts to find clues on the kidnapping." According to Peachi, Shine was filming for "Lucid Dream," a suspense thriller coming out later this year. I wonder what role she'll be playing!

So I've been watching the "Believe" video a lot, just cuz I like the song so much. And I finally watched "Sakura" closely once I realized it was from 2015 and... boy, do they look noticeably older in that video Like... it was kind of jarring at first LOL
