  It took me most of my high school years to get through The Lord of the Rings. I love the story and the whole idea of Middle-Earth, but Tolkien's writing is just so ... tedious. I doubt I'll ever reread it. Now that I think about it, my love of Middle-Earth probably comes from P.J.'s movies ... :lol: 'cause I sure don't love the book.   I have The Silmarillion on my shelf - and I have the same problem with it, the damn thing is just dull as dirt. It's had a bookmark in it since 2009, I think. Maybe I'll pick it up again ... maybe ... nah, I'll probably still be reading it on my deathbed. In the mean time, if someone could adapt it into a movie trilogy or a TV mini series, that would be super. :)
