She's the second most respected female musician in Japan of the last 20 years, only behind Utada. She's basically going into this grande dame status with connotations of class, elegance, and traditionalism that companies want to latch onto, to make their products look better by association. This is an example of neither. And actually her songs for the past few years are her best selling of the decade, with some selling over 250k digitally. And that's actual sales, not handshake ticket sales.
