Maybe you and the people you know aren't that interesting, but there are people that are. And it's not even about gossip. It's about having interests and things to talk about. One hour can be about figure skating, another can be about Japanese music, another about 00s British pop, another about movies from the 70s, and so on... It's more comfortable to be on speaker because you don't have to hold your phone or try to keep it near your ear.

I've been known to have 6 hour conversations that start at 2AM.

Honestly, I feel like members who have been around for as long as we have should be exempt from the rules. Because they're children. The children of today live for mess, until it comes to them.

I could just say "Shut the fuck up, I'm older and know more than you", but... I honestly wish though that people would not argue with me about Japanese music. There is like maybe three people on here who have the knowledge for me to actually listen to what they have to say.
