    um to lighten the thread a bit im going to share a bit of my svt hi touch experience..

     

    so you know.. the8 is famous for dabbing a lot so i was like.. "maybe if i dab to the8, he'll laugh and do it as well" (note i never dab, its the bane of my existence)

     

    and so i did dab to him (he was first in line) bUT HE JUST AWKWARDLY SMILED AND NODDED i felt so embarassed and wanted to run out of there ajdhjsj

    Seventeen – First Visual Impressions:

     

    S.Coups: The man of the evening, personally. I swear to god I did NOT expect him to look SO handsome. My Jeonghan-loving-self found myself staring at him if I lost Jeonghan amongst the movement. No camera, from your old layman phones to thousand-dollar fan site cameras or even million-dollar music show cameras can do this man any justice. My friend with pretty bad eye-sight sitting behind a pole aptly comments: “I couldn’t see him* from my seat with my blurry ass vision. . .Except for S.Coups :^)†That boy cured my friend’s blindness I tell you.

    (*him – refers to our conversation about Wonwoo’s phantom-like tendencies)

    I got to see Seventeen in person for my first ever kpop concert, and I just feel so blessed. :ahmagah:  I will try to recount everything I remember. This is going to be a really long post, so I’ll put it in a spoiler.

     

     

    I had a P2 ticket and got to the venue around 1:30pm. The lines were a little disorganized. The VVIP/VIP lines were together in front, then the P1 line, and then the P2 line was across the street. There were already a lot of people in line by then too. I went by myself, but I was so lucky to meet two other Carats who were there by themselves as well. They were great and really helped to pass the time until we could go in. Some fan organizers were passing out blue and pink plastic bags to put over lightsticks and cellphones during Don’t Wanna Cry, along with a banner to be held up during the encore but I was too cramped and caught up in performances and completely forgot about it. >_< Someone with an official Seventeen staff shirt also went around filming the people who were waiting on line, and there were some people selling Seventeen merchandise out of a white van, like Seventeen’s albums and some posters, which might or might not be official. I did see a venue staff member getting in and out of the van, so it looked sanctioned by the venue.  There was one older woman was walking around selling a headband bearing a yellow crown with the Seventeen logo on it who was definitely not official. The headband's crown looked way too similar to B1g [email protected]’s lightstick and with the controversy surrounding our official colors, I was so not happy with that or the people who bought it. They were wearing those crowns in the venue. The Hi-Touch was moved to before the concert at 5pm (I assume it’s because they had to leave for the airport shortly after the concert) so the VIP and VVIP line started going in shortly before then. Then the P1 line went in, and the venue staff started moving us across the street in groups because they still had to allow cars to drive through the street. I just want to say I am deeply ashamed of New York Carats. The streets where we lined up were covered with garbage near the front of the lines. There were bottles of water, leftover food, and newspapers all over the place. Seventeen were so proud of those Korean carats who cleaned up after themselves at the Seoul concert, and these New York carats were the complete opposite.

     

    There were a bunch of problems with the venue. Standing room only means it’s so hard to see unless you’re in the front or really tall. When I got inside the venue, all the balcony spots were taken and the VIP/VVIP/P1 section was full. There was a section on the third floor directly facing the stage that was cordoned off (not sure who was allowed in there. Maybe fansites?) I’m pretty short so I wandered around a bit hoping to find some place I could squeeze in because I wasn’t able to see over anyone’s head. I was able to find two girls who were kind enough to let me crouch in front of them to see. It was a great view even though I was cramped against the railing. Halfway through, a staff member asked me to stand up because there was a possibility I could fall over, but no one else around me was moving and he had left, so I just sat back down and tried not to lean against the railing things. Also, the place was not air conditioned, and the VVIP/VIP/P1 section was so crowded. I saw a girl who fainted during the concert and had to be carried out by the staff up by the stage. They started handing out water bottles to people in that section after that I think. Third, during Wonwoo, Hoshi and Jun’s MC moment, Hoshi asked the second and third floors to dance along with the first floor, but we were all crowded against each other that we couldn’t really move. Finally, the stage was a little small. At one point during Mansae, during the section where they’re crossing in front of each other leaving the singer in the middle, SCoups’ mic hit Mingyu I think and it rebounded and hit him in the mouth as a result? He dropped his mic and it took him a bit to recover. Ugh, I really hope their organizers find a better venue if Seventeen comes back.

     

    As for the actual concert! Seventeen was amazing!!!! They performed with so much energy and really interacted with the crowd. See videos below. Seungkwan is so nice!  He said our safety is their priority during their first moment and hope that the show will end safely. During the ending moment, a bunch of people threw things on stage. Someone threw a rose, another threw a flower crown, and of course, the things thrown at Jeonghan. I didn’t get to see what was thrown, but I saw a tweet saying it was a phone and a plushie. Seungkwan had to tell people it was dangerous to throw things. If Seventeen ever comes back, I hope people will take note of these things and be better. Seventeen deserves better.

     

    Overall though, I’m really happy I went, and I can’t believe it’s over. Definitely a night I’ll treasure forever.

    Here are some videos! They’re partially obstructed by the railing and someone waving a fan and banner in front of me sometimes. I mostly took videos of vocal team’s performances because they’re my favorite and then screamed and rocked out to the rest. Sorry performance team and hip hop team fans. :._.:

    I was sitting on the other side across from you (kind of) and was sitting down on floor as well. Security asked everyone sitting to stand up but we literally had no room to move back so we just continued sitting there :X

    I finally got my albums! I got the pink ver Daniel cover and Ong photo card. And with my sky ver I got the Minhyun cover and Jisung photo card. I didn't get my two favs but I'm still super happy! :ahmagah:

    meanwhile you got my two favs in the versions of them i wanted too ;; (sky pics of jisung/minhyun TT)

    this is sudden but...i'm gonna go on hiatus for awhile. i have basically the biggest exam of my life @ the end of august + dealing with summer session finals and i need to focus on those things. i'll stay a bit to make sure badges are all submitted ok, but after that i will self ban. This is essentially my last post here until September.

    But seriously, hmm, I will also be on hiatus for a while after the Wonwoo games are over :._.: Real life has become too hectic right now, and I need to focus on it but there will still be ways to contact me! Just uhh, no PMs until after Wonwoo's game it's kinda taken up most of the space in my inbox.
