Happy Birthday to Girls' Generation's Maknae, Seohyun On June 28, Girls‘ Generation’s youngest member, Seohyun, celebrates her 22nd (international age) birthday. To celebrate, we put together twenty-three pictures, from her childhood pictures to last year’s birthday celebration, of the innocent maknae. Seohyun was born on July 28, 1991 in Seoul as Seo Joo Hyun. Seohyun was discovered while she was riding a subway car. She audition and became a trainee. This picture was taken three years before her debut with her future group mate, YoonA. Before debuting as a member of Girls’ Generation, Seohyun was a model for student uniforms. Here she is modeling with Jaejoong. In August 2007 Seohyun and the rest of Girls’ Generation made their debut with “Into the New World.â€

F.T. Island's upcoming single chosen as CM song for Japan's TV ad FT Island’s upcoming Japanese single has been chosen as the CM song of a TV advertisement. The group will release their 11th Japanese single titled ‘Theory of Happiness’ on July 24. The title song of the same name has been chosen as the CM song of the TV advertisement of Japanese dining company, ‘Sukiya’. Sukiya is a major dining company in Japan which owns 1900 branches over the country. The TV ads featuring FT Island’s track will be aired starting on June 23. Meanwhile, “Theory of Happiness†is also chosen as the ending theme song for Japanese animated film ‘Toriko’ which will be released on July 27th.

G-Dragon to launch his own Vitamin water product G-Dragon will be launching his own Vitamin Water product. G-Dragon has participated in Glaceau Vitamin Water’s new campaign “G-Creator Project†and presented his very own trendy design for the brand. The collaboration product “G-CREATOR†is set to hit the local market next month. In the past, Vitamin Water has collaborated with various pop culture icons, including Mr.Verbal and 50cent. Meanwhile, G-Dragon will also participate in ‘G-Creator Special Party’ in Seoul along YG Entertainment labelmates Tablo and Lee Hi, to celebrate the launching of the new project.

Luna talks about the trouble for K-Pop stars making the jump into Musicals In an interview Monday with the South Korean publication Newsen, Luna spoke out about the negative public perceptions many K-pop stars have to conquer to cross over into theater. The 19-year-old f(x) member is preparing to star in a production of "High School Musical On Stage" opening July 2, as the character of Gabriella. "The criticisms of the general public about [how the producers of some musicals cast K-pop stars for] ticket power rather than skill, are not wrong," Luna said. "It was really hard for me too. But I also think that if a familiar face stars in a musical, then that musical will become that much more known and therefore, earn more fans. If a musical can get more PR through a star casting, I think that aspect can be viewed positively." And it isn't just the general public that are critical of pop stars attempting to make the jump into musicals, but the other cast members as well, Luna explained. "I also know how the musical actors view us idols, but the musical actors who I worked with, advised me, 'because you're an idol, many people are watching over you. A few might even view you with a different perspective, so I hope you will work even harder,'" she recalled. Although her cast mates had exposed her to the ugly truth, the f(x) singer valued their honesty. "Their straight-up advice made me feel very comfortable," she said. Luna said that right from the start of her time performing in musicals, she has had to struggle to prove herself. "During my first musical, 'Legally Blonde,' I worked really hard to change those certain prejudices," she said. "I hoped that when the other actors looked at me, they would think, 'I hope other idols will work as hard as Luna.' I have never rehearsed half-heartedly. It's a fact that I can be proud of. I also practised very hard for this musical as well. I hope many people can see how I matured." And Luna isn't the only K-pop idol in the new "High School Musical On Stage" cast. Kim Ryeowook of 12-member boy band Super Junior and Lee Jae Jin of South Korean rock band FT Island will both play the part of Troy, along with popular comedian Kang Dong Ho. In addition to Luna, actresses Oh So Yeon and Cho Ha will play the part of Gabriella.

BoA makes her movie debut with 'Make your Move 3D,' official trailer out BoA will be making her Hollywood acting debut this July in the upcoming dancing movie, “Make Your Move 3D.†The movie released its first trailer with Dutch subtitles for the European release. BoA costars in this dance romance with Derek Hough, an American dancer who became famous through the celebrity dancing program, “Dancing with the Stars.†On June 24 BoA shared the link on her Twitter and wrote, “The American dance movie I am in, ‘Make Your Move 3D’, has finally released a teaser and will premier in Europe in July.†The trailer shows a Romeo and Juliet love story between two dancers, BoA and Derek Hough’s characters. It also shows some impressive dance scenes where the two heat things up with their moves. Make Your Move 3D†was originally titled “Cobu 3D†and is directed by “Save the Last Dance†and the “Step Up†series’ director, Duane Adler. The movie is co-produced by Robert Cort, who has produced movies such as “Jumanji†and “Runaway Bride,†CJ Entertainment, and SM Entertainment. SM Entertainment has announced that the film will start its release in Europe, and then be released internationally. A Korean premier date has not been set yet.

In the music video, member Yura is seen leaning against a car wearing a nude colored outfit that is not clear on where the clothes begin and ends. Its nude colour and the seemingly see-through material gives the illusion that Yura isn't wearing much else other than the short leather jacket. Netizens have criticized the music video and the outfits for being too revealing. As a response, Girl’s Day’s agency said, “It is correct that Yura is wearing full body tights. Uee practices diving for 'Barefoot Friends' Uee showed a healthy body in a diving bathing suit at the pool recently. To prepare for an episode of SBS’ “Good Sunday – Barefoot Friends,†Uee participated in diving practice, showing off her figure. She has been practising since June 14 at the pool located at Han Hotel in Seoul, according to Star News. Although she was in and out of the water several times for practice, just like a swim athlete, she showed no signs of exhaustion or fatigue. The diving coach assigned for “Barefoot Friends†said, “Diving and swimming are two completely different sports, but I think that compared to the other members, swimmer Uee has a good shot at coming out first place in the competition.†Filming staff and directors mentioned that Uee looked like a mermaid and that her swimming suit made her look like a real athlete. On another note, the members of “Barefoot Friends†will participate in diving training and activities for the summer, and there will be a diving competition at the indoor gymnasium for the Masters Diving Competition on July 11. On June 26, KBS announced that 4Minute upcoming single, “Is it Poppin’?†has been deemed unfit for broadcast due to its lyrics. The problem came from the English word “ass†included in the song's lyrics. Cube Entertainment plans to modify the lyrics and re-submit the song for review. 4minute is set to release “Is it Poppin’?†(previously referred as “The Water’s Fineâ€) on June 28. The song is a hip-hop dance number with catchy melody line, and will contain 4Minute unique colours.

Davichi to release summer single 'Memories of Summer' Davichi is planning to captivate music fans’ hearts once again with their new sound! Core Contents Media announced that Davichi will release the digital single ‘Memories of Summer’ on July 4th. The title song is called “It’s Because I Miss You Today†and it is composed by producer Choi Kyu Sung. It is a song of medium tempo and it reaches to the peak with sad lyrics. SISTAR renews endorsement deal with 'Pelicana' SISTAR will continue being the face of fried chicken brand, ‘Pelicana’. It has been revealed that the popular girl group, who serves as endorsement models for Pelicana has renewed their contract for another year. SISTAR is the brand’s first girl group model and also the first to renew the contract SISTAR finished shooting the advertisements on June 24. Despite their busy schedule with their promotions, they participated in the filming for a total of 12 hours, earning compliments from the staffs.

Cheondung and Gyuri's drama "Nailhop Paris" to air overseas Cheondung (MBLAQ) and Gyuri (KARA) tv series ‘Nailshop Paris’ will be broadcasting overseas to Japan. The drama, which airs through MBC Queen and MBC Drama-net, will go on air in Japan starting July 14 through Japan’s DATV. The drama will have a total of 12 episodes, two more than its running in Korea, containing undisclosed footage. Other countries such as China, Philippines and other Asian countries are currently in the works of having this drama broadcast as well.

KARA sucessfully completes Japanese fan meeting Kara held a fan meeting, called “Kamilia School,†at the Yokohama Arena according to Enews24. The fan meeting was held in two parts. Kara performed a total of six songs, including their Japanese debut song “Mister,†in front of a crowd of 24,000 people. After the performance, Seung Yeon talked about the “Kara Crisis†back in 2011, when Kara went through a difficult time. She said with tears, “[Mister] was a song that came out when we were at our weakest. After seeing all of you here today, I’m happy to know we have our fans.†Goo Hara said, “No matter what happens in the future, please stay by Kara’s side,†before bursting into tears. The entire stage was in a “sea of tears.†Kara is anticipating the new album, “Thank You Summer Love,†set to debut on July 24, and has an arena tour concert, “Kara Second Japan Tour 2013,†planned for October. The girls will tour seven cities starting October 8, beginning with Yokohama and including Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Fukui, and Kobe. An estimated 140,000 fans are expected to attend. Kara’s first arena tour concert was in April 2012, and saw approximately 150,000 people in attendance over the six cities they visited. For this fan club celebration the members of B1A4 not only prepared performances but special activities to participate with the fans. The video starts with the members as they prepare to go on stage. Even though they are dressed in their colorful suits, they mention how cold it is that day. The inauguration ceremony seems to be from awhile ago, with references to the cold weather and Sandeul‘s leg injury. They opened up the meeting with a performance of their debut song, “OK†and move on to opening gifts and playing games like arm wrestling.
