Puppy & Kitty Love ~The official Baekchen Thread~
Thay replied to SlothEmbodiment's topic in Couples/OTPs
Yaaay a ChenBaek thread! I'm so IN LOVE with this otp I can't even begin to describe it. they are just perfect together with all that sassiness Even though they have tuned down their interactions a little bit after that Baekyeon thing (Baekhyun was almost depressed for some time after that), I think they're slowly getting back to how they were before. <3 Hopefully everything will fall back into place with the next comeback~ So some more recent interactions -
Oh oh, I got confused again — I was thinking about the It's still a Dark Night performance, in which Sehun, Kai, Xiumin and Lay danced. lol Considering the songs in Immortal Song, this is actually my favorite, although I really like I Really Didn't Know too, even more because I'm a ChenBaek shipper and seeing them both singing together is just... Ah. </3 I wonder why it It's still a Dark Night isn't in the poll though... Anyway, I was so impressed with all their performances on Immortal Song, I can't believe they didn't win even once I'm not sure whether Chen is more popular than Lay, but I'm pretty sure he's more popular than Tao, at least among korean fans. Tao is really underrated there. D: Although maybe his popularity will rise from now on, since he's beeing seen as "loyal" after the whole Luhan "incident"... It seems to me that Suho also isn't that much popular, and I'm not very sure about how Baekhyun is doing after the dating "scandal". (so many quotation marks lol) So perhaps he may be in the top 8? A lot of those popularity rankings online consider their likes on facebook "official" pages (not really official, but those connected to the largest EXO fanpage). If that were to be our criteria, the order would be the following: Kris (574k likes), Chanyeol (545k), D.O. (520k), Sehun (475k), Kai (472k), Baekhyun (462k), Tao (449k), LuHan (396k), Lay (382k), Chen (381k), Xiumin (350k) and Suho (293k). However, this just cant be right, because Xiumin is certainly in the top 3 and Luhan would also probably be higher, even though he lost a lot of fans with his leaving. Also, I'm pretty sure Tao and Kris are much lower (it seems to me that Koreans don't really like Kris anymore) and Kai is much higher. So that most likely reflects ifans, rather than Koreans. However it may be, though he may not have the largest, I think he still has one of the most solid fanbases. <3 And I think it will probably grow more now that they won't promote separately anymore (ah, has this been confirmed?) Ah, Jongdae So handsome! I hope they let his hair grow a little bit more though, it looks better when his bangs are a little longer. (as a note for future observation, he isn't wearing that ring on those photos)

Yeah, the strongest rumor was actually someone in EXO/Bomi, but I saw more "sasaeng accounts" saying it was Chen than Kai. Guess we will never know unless one of them reveals it, which would be... Never. I agree, whoever gets seen dating now won't have it much easier than Baek. I'm not sure about lack of sasaengs accounts... I mean, I recognize that he isn't one of the most popular members in Korea, but even Lay has had accounts regarding relationships, while from Chen I haven't seen anything lately. Is even Lay more popular than him there? Considering he's Chinese, that would be unexpected... Poor Chenchen </3 But anyway, let's talk about happier things Which cover did you vote for in the poll? I really liked their version of Mirotic (I had it in replay for almost an hour after it was released), but even though it was really good it was still too short. I really loved I Really Didn't Know though. To me, it was perfect from beginning to end~ the way they arranged the song and the vocals was so pretty. And the dance was also nice, even though it wasn't that well synchronised. All in all, I loved the performance and thought it was really emotional <3

Another Brazilian here \o I'm from Curitiba. So I thought of something. How about we share what we/people in our country think about other South American countries? You know, just to see how much we know about each other, stereotypes and things like that. No offense intended! if there are stereotypes, then we can just unbuild them And hopefully we can learn more about each other's country this way too~ So I'll start! (p.s.: what I'll say is based on common thinking where i live. Brazilians from other parts of Brazil may think differently) Argentina: I'm not sure Argentines actually know this, but Brazilians consider them their "rivals", mainly in sports but also in other aspects. Nowadays, Cristina Kirchner is considered to be almost dictador-like here, but you should take into account that Brazilian's media (like newspapers and TV channels) are really conservative. Lots of beef, and people that really love soccer. Also good wine. BolÃvia: I don't think Bolivia is much talked about in Brazil... Since the media is very conservative here, they've been relentlessly criticizing Evo Moralez and trying to portrait Bolivia as being in a dictadorship right now. Aside from the political aspect, I think the common thinking about Bolivians is that they have a strong native american/indian provenance, but that's about it. Also, there have been a lot of bolivian immigrants coming to Brazil lately, but sadly they've been involved in all sort of sad incidents... Chile: Brazil really respects Chile. Everybody here seems to think Chile is in a whole other level when compared to the rest of South America. People think Chile is very neoliberal and those Brazilians that are more right-oriented in politics wish Brazil could be like Chile. Apart from that, Chile also makes people remember of: Easter Island and earthquakes. Colombia: After the worldcup, Javier Rodriguez, haha (my mom really loves him). Also (unfortunately) FARC and coke. And bananas. It's really sad, but I guess that's about it Ecuador: The equator hovers right above it... And that's it </3 French Guiana: they are part of France in a sense, and speak French there. That's all I know. D: Guyana: no. idea. Paraguay: cheap stuff. Brazilians where I live love to go to Paraguay to buy electronics and parfume (and chocolate, eventually). We know that in Paraguay people speak Guarani and Spanish ( not everybody, but some). Itaipu belongs to both countries, and now there's UNILA to integrate us too. Unfortunately, even though there's so much sharing people still know very little about Paraguay. Peru: Machu Picchu and Incan stuff. Lima is the capital... That's all. </3 As for kpop, kpop fans here know Peru is the country that most likes kpop in South America. Suriname: as for Guyana, also no. idea. Expect that (some) people know they speak dutch there. Uruguay: meat, lots of it! And people here just LOVE Mujica (well, most people at least), although incoherently are against most of the things he has done. Also a country that has a good soccer team. People in the south of Brazil know Uruguayans drink mate, similar to how we drink it here in the south. Venezuela: if you talk about Venezuela here in Brazil nowadays, all you will hear is: dictatorship, dictatorship, dictatorship. People absolutely hate Chavez (I'm not sure everybody knows he died) and also hate Maduro. Most Brazilians think Venezuelans must be on the brink of starving and that they have no toilet paper due to economic reasons (well, as I said, Brazilian media is quite conservative and right-oriented...). But people also know there's a lot of Oil (petroleum) in Venezuela. It's sad to admit it, but education in Brazil emphasizes very little on South/Latin America's history. We study lots about European history, then even north-american history, but when it comes to South America we only study about Brazil and that's all. I'd say that Brazilian politicians weren't really interested in building strong relations within South America till just very recently... Hope this will change over time!

Oh, I had misunderstood, haha. My bad. It does make more sense now. lol Yeah, I dunno. Taeyeon and Baekhyun's relationship was revealed not so long ago, but there are people saying they've been together for longer than SM informed, based on couple items evidence and this sort of thing. The fact that there hasn't been many sasaeng accounts on Chen actually makes it suspicious for me, since they usually reveal things only after they've already ended, so that they won't really damage the idol's relationship (maybe they do have feelings afterall), just like that rumor of Chen dating Bomi from APink in the beginning of last year (which I nowadays assume to be true, considering the so many different sources I've seen speaking of this). But, thinking about this now, when he supposedly dated Bomi he didn't wear any couple jewelry I think... To be honest, I'm very curious about this and I'd really like to know what's going on, but maybe it's better if he keeps it hidden... Chen Stans seem to me to be more under control thant Baekhyun's, but you never know. The last thing EXO needs now is another scandal. I think he has been wearing this specific ring since end of last year/beginning of this year (I had the impression it was since last year, but when I went to look for photos to give as evidence I saw he wasn't wearing it till April/May). He has always wore rings, though, so maybe it is some sort of purity ring he changes from time to time? Before it used to be a thicker ring he wore on his little finger. But still, he didn't wear it as often (=always) like this current one... Who knows. Oh my, this fanarts are just too cute e__e I'm in love with this hair! That's just too cute xD I bet he would be! People say he is one of the friendliest with fans -w-

Hi there, my first post in this wonderful thread <33 I'll take my time to read it all — I can never get enough of this boy <3 Chenchen completely owned with this Ahjumma Yakult costume, like seriously... Major points for creativity! I can't believe he didn't get first place. Chanyeol's costume was nice, but the Joker is a rather common costume (so common that Changmin also dressed like him...). But Taeyeon got like 3rd place and her costume was... High school girl or something like that...? Go figure. Anyway, I'm not sure whether this has already been spoken about in these 184 pages, so forgive me if it has, but there's something I've been curious about: a ring Chen has been wearing on his right hand for some time already. Just to be absolutely clear, I really wouldn't mind if he was dating (okay, maybe I would be a tad bit sad, but I'd really cheer for him to be happy with whoever he chose), but to me it's not clear whether wearing rings is a habit for couples in Korea (although it seems that Sungmin and his soon-to-be wife have been wearing rings for a long time already). Where I live couples almost always buy matching rings, but from what I've heard in Korea they'd rather use couples items than matching rings. I've seen some people speculating that it's one of those catholic-related jewelry, as some other idols have used in the past, but since I know close to nothing on korean habits in this aspect I'm kinda lost. Anyone care to enlighten me/share their opinions?
