  1. I'm pretty sure SM is trying to pull "you'll eventually forget" in Lucas case. They'll probably find one person who lied about Lucas for defamation even if all the other testimonies are true, and will convince the fans with "HE WAS INNOCENT ALL ALONG!!!1". Look at how they handled all their past idol scandals, Kangin is still in SM after all the scandals he had. The only people who left SM are the ones who had their contract expired or sue them to end their 10 year contract.
  2. Tbh aespa being experimental is what made them popular, however I do think they should try give them more variety of songs. This song is a hit or miss but if they keep trying they probably get it right after a while.
  3. While is obvious the difference between produce and the unit (JBJ sold double than UNB and none of them was top20 in produce), I still think they did fairly well comparing to their previous situation in their groups. After some digging: they sold 50k and 49k in their 2 EP won 4 awards in 2018 Had a lot of individual activities and promoted in Japan After they disbanded none of them had a breakthrough except for Chan and maybe Jun. Most people from Unit B gained nothing from the program, except for ACE and the X1 kid. Being fair UNB did moderately well, so there was kinda "an opportunity" stolen from an actual winner. However the story changes with Uni.t as they didn't have as much as support as UNB sold between 10k and 16k in their 2 EP only promoted for 7 months since they lost to Unit.b didn't have that much activities The situation didn't change for the better to some of the girls with Uni.t. After they disbanded Hyunjoo (before 2021) and I think Woohee gained some popularity for their acting careers. Unit.G was a failure as none of the girls gained popularity from the unit, Brave girls popularity had nothing to do with the unit lol. So in the end almost all the contestants gained nothing from The unit, except for making their actual groups disband faster.
  4. April case is a hard one, but at the end of the day the people who should be accountable are the damn company, the managers the people who saw all this and did nothing. Most of them were really young when this happened, all could have been avoided if some adult with some moral sense said something. Hyunjoo might be saying the truth or lying, but the facts are all this girls suffered because of that stupid company. THEY LEARNED LITERALLY NOTHING FROM BABY KARA.
  5. He only interacted with those three, he said: Seolhyun is nice person, very simple in a good way. Mina was arrogant and distant (he said she needed to change her attitude lol) Chanmi was the best and was full of good energy on the set.
  6. I'm not saying Hyunjoo is a saint either, but taking account the standards on work ethic in korea I'm pretty sure she was to some extend bullied. Hyunjoo trained for 2 years in DSP, even though she didn't participate in Baby Kara she was still affected by it. She wasn't mentally prepared to debut but she probably thought that it was her last chance. (DSP only debuted Kard after April) Since her issues weren't treated, she constantly disappeared schedules during their debut, the company didn't scold her since they knew she was sensitive (this is proven with how the company knew her state but the group didn't). The other members started to see as a lack of work ethic and special treatment (the staff, the letters and the interviews with april all repeat how irresponsable she was), so they started to resent Hyunjoo and took "measures themselves". This probably is when the bullying actually happened. All the incidents were confirmed by both parties, but each have different versions. It can be see in their April schedules how they treated Hyunjoo as like she wasn't there (I watched the clips and the episodes, and they treat her poorly at best). The bullying altered more her mental state which led to her departure to the group (the hospital incident which was proven), the company only saw the members not getting along and didn't interfere until now. The members of April were suffering too, but the thing is DSP didn't interfere before when they knew Hyunjoo was not okay. April were a bunch of teens in a terrible situation they couldn't handle so obviously the worst outcome happened. Hyunjoo matured a lot after her time in April and had time to be treated, her team mates of UNI.T still support her and have a good work relationship. While I think Hyunjoo was bullied, I don't think April are mostly at fault but rather their stupid company. I repeat is not the same as AOA, we still don't know the whole picture yet since no sides have provided solid proof. Nobody has come and defended Jimin yet, the members haven't stated anything. Mina still hasn't been treated and she will continue to do things until someone comes forward with the whole picture, even if she says the truth or is lying. We only know Mina is really an unstable person.
  7. It was a response for the both quotes. Mina is manipulative however as none of the AOA members have state anything I think the situation is still ambiguous. Hwayoung is a terrible person but she didn't create the scandal, it was an online post that put "evidence" of T-ara "bullying" Hwayoung. The public really quick turned their backs on T-ara and Hwayoung took the opportunity to make herself look good. Before that she just didn't have a good relationship with her members, just like work. People often forget that they made public campaigns to took T-ara off TV, when it was confirmed by multiple sources by that time in the company + T-ara + even some hwayoung interviews that it wasn't bullying.
  8. T-ara April and now AOA have VERY different situations: - T-ara scandal was something the PUBLIC fabricated to tear T-ara down, and Hwayoung took the opportunity to look like a saint, even in her following interviews she admitted it was more like not liking someone at work rather than bullying. The public ruined t-ara trying to see things that didn't exists. - April did bully Hyunjoo, not because they didn't like her but for her lack of work ethic for their debut. It seems to me most of them were traumatized by baby kara and were desperate to debut, plus the company put a lot of pressure to the girls, so if one wasn't doing so well they saw it as a thread to the group. The only at fault is that shitty company for not interfere when the things were going down. Instead of preparing them mentally and try to make them work as a team (they were still on their teens!!) they just let them fight each other. - AOA is a complicated case, it seems that none of the girls were on good terms with each other. Is unclear that Jimin bullied Mina since they are no evidence for both parts, no one has cleared Jimin or accused her besides Mina. However we know they were not in good terms, Mina is a very unstable person and FNC didn't give a shit if they were fighting. If Mina has attitude issues is not evidence of her not being bullied. The lesson here is companies don't care about idol's mental health, the AOA girls have gone through so much shit, MAYBE IF FNC DID SOMETHING this would not have happened.
  9. Also there are terrible people in the industry I bet if it was a girl the discussion would be a lot more different, is not about if he can handle the idol life is more about the idol industry.
  10. It's really sad :(. In Korean bathrooms there a lot of tiny holes so they can film molkas (and they are covered in toilet paper constantly) and women just have to be alert all the time in every bathroom they go :(.
  11. T-ara situation was different, it was the general public who assumed Hwayoung was bullied and she latched on that, while t-ara and the company had proof they didn't do anything the public still believed Hwayoung for many years. Jimin however admitted to some extend that she wasn't good to Mina, and Mina initial statement was never refuted. I'm pretty sure the whole AOA scandal is more than "Mina was bullied" since nobody defended Jimin. Mina is probably not only depressed, and may have many more issues she doesn't talk. Rather than be empathic with Mina is having some decency with her since she is also a person. I'm not defending her past behaviors but her mistakes should be said in the right place when she gets better. We don't actually know her and what parts are fake or true, but the facts are she isn't well and she tried to take her life more than once. I don't want to compare but people said the same comments to Goo Hara about how she was attention sicking and had some victim complex.
  12. I hope people don't come at her, when all her scandals happened people went hard on her. While she did deserve criticism I think a lot people even here forgot she is still in a bad place mentally. Hope she can recover and find a good treatment
  13. Jessica wasn't on bad terms with SM, they were supporting her fashion career until someone complained about it. It was rumored it was most about the parents discussing with SM trying to get Jessica out rather than the girls. Whatever issue they still have is more with someone rather than SM. I still find weird they would kick out Jessica one of the most popular members for being "irresponsable", while they covered many worse scandals from other idols who didn't have as much as popularity/being profitable as Jessica.
  14. What did junho do to his face? He looks good but I couldn't recognize it was him. Obviously he did his eyes/nose, but there's something else I can't point out (?) Before: Now:
  15. I think if DSP wasn't as shit as they are and actually took the time to explain to the members that Hyunjoo was suffering and it wasn't because she was lazy MAAAYBEE they could had prevented the bullying. It seems that the april's members think Hyunjoo wasn't suffering as bad as it was, and the company never tried to explain why they gave Hyunjoo the time she needed, which led to her being bullied since they thought she had "special treatment". Stupid DSP, didn't learn anything from Baby Kara.
  16. She said before she got her eyes done since she used to model for a mall (?) and also admitted to use non invasive procedures, so maybe botox and fillers? This was on 2019 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bC6ssJGSkU 2020 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WA0N5nb0wgw 2021 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UqweB24ltw 2021https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qzKQ_nNmcM I have no idea what she did to her face but she at least had botox since she barely can move her face now, and lip fillers However her Jaw was really suspicious in the 2019 video, she has some signs of a jaw surgery as the skin sagging around that area. I found this post in pann about her modeling days, and it seems she did more than her eyes. https://pann.nate.com/talk/355885317 She could have stopped in 2019, she looks really pretty in that interview. I'm pretty sure she wants to look exactly as her characters since she draws them with this weird gangnam vibe.
  17. Yes! produce has always been rigged, almost all winners had connections with Cj ent or were part of of it, look the people who had more screen time. However I did enjoy produce and I kinda liked kingdom too. I think winners don't matter that much since the real competition is who got more popular after this.
  18. All the fans were offering giveaways if they voted for they favorite. So in a way the competition was always rigged bc fans voted for their favorite and not the best. Instead of arguing who should win, support ur favorite cuz the true winner is the one who gets the most fans lol.
  19. I hope he is ok, I remember when he said he struggled with bulimia and weight. I hope he can get some help with his self esteem
  20. All this Idols starving themselves to reach an unrealistic type of beauty. Every time there is a comeback all groups only talk about either diet,"becoming prettier", or how little they sleep. I think is better to ask why the company or the people like this certain image instead of blaming one person for trying to please their fans/company.
  21. For all the comments about objectification of women, remember how it's done with kpop... you aren't different from JB. All the fanservice, fancams, fanfics, comments on their performance, clothes, etc. Kpop is based on objectification, don't be an hypocrite if you do the same lol.
