Who cares if their family has money? In all companies you have the people who got rigged in, who auditioned or got casted, but at the end they look who are more profitable, everything else is a plus. If TXT or aespa were in a smaller company it could make sense, but they do really big investments they are not gonna risk it because of nepotism. If people were looking for good singers or dancers they would be watching musicals not kpop lol.

They are not in sync and the choreo itself is messy, however they are definitely not lazy. If people didn't have crazy standards of "performance", idols wouldn't have to get Iv drops and sleep 4 hours everyday. "Fans" wants them to do everything perfectly, if they are not doing a perfect choreo every performance they have an attitude issue, if they do lipsync they are lazy, etc. I'm not saying you can't criticize idols, but also take into account they sleep and eat very little during active promotions, even if other groups endure this you shouldn't encourage other groups to do it. I want Aespa to perform better but calling them Lazy or work ethic is not the way. "Fans" always criticize the "mistreatment" but they have the same crazy standards to other groups.

About audience engagement is more of a SM thing, the difference is abysmal of how they performed Life's too short in coachella and the choreo version. I would even say they perform better when they let them sing live. I have to argue is not only an Aespa thing groups only following the choreo since is pretty much all groups in kpop, is just less notorious until you watch a group fancam. No matter what they do they always get criticized, no one cares about lipsync until is Aespa. There are plenty of groups who almost never sing live, specially male groups.

[theqoo] SHOCKING PUPPY SURGERY ADVERTISEMENTㄷㄷㄷㄷㄷㄷ
panqueque replied to Mrs. Morale's topic in Netizen Nation
I like the intention not the execution. Is better to advertise some bad side effects and discomfort some dogs end having with this types of surgeries. My dog already had his ears cut when we adopt him and he is still suffering ear infections. Pets are not accessories :(. -
[Pannkpop] Why do 4th generation boy groups have such low popularity?
panqueque replied to Aegyo's topic in Netizen Nation
Is because people tend to hate things associated to a being a "fangirl". Now internationally is more accepted to like kpop, but in korea is still looked as "teenage behavior", so even if the song is good it will take them time to accept it. NCT127 charted top 10 after 4 years, while they had really good songs as cherry bomb (even recognized but did not chart that much). If fangirls weren't that bad and korea was less misogynist (hating things associated to being girly), I'm pretty sure some boy groups would be more popular. If you think about it BTS is now being accepted by the general public since they get a lot of achievements, even thought they had great songs before who could have been more successful (like Boy in luv?, I remember it did not chart highly at the time but was played everywhere). -
Stage presence is not about improvising choreo, is about how you manage the crowd. Is not about fan service or being good at dancing or singing. Idols by nature have no stage presence since they are always doing the same, they can't do what they want to maintain the attention crowd. Kpop fans don't realize that since they will always pay attention to their favorite group. Aespa doesn't need more training they need more confidence, their stage in coachella was actually good overall specially with live vocals, but obviously there is something behind that makes them perform like they are bored. Remember when Jennie was called lazy but actually she suffered a injured ankle that was poorly treated since she had to keep performing? I want to add, an idol performing bored or happy doesn't mean they aren't being overworked, dieting and sleep deprived.
-
None of them have stage presence but they are excellent dancers/stable singers. Aespa is preparing a comeback right now, probably started even before festivals, besides promotions doesn't mean they stop working lol. Gidle are really good performers overall but that has nothing to do with Aespa, we don't know what made them perform more tired/bored or coming back to do lip sync when they showed they can sing/be more energetic.
-
Idols don't have stage presence in general since they are not allowed to deviate or do what they want in a stage, they do very limited things since they have to dance, like fanservice . Aespa is known to not perform the best, so I don't know what people expected when they were going to festivals. People complain when idols are exhausted, don't sleep or eat but when they perform so-so suddenly is an attitude controversy, we don't know what happens behind with all the criticism they get. Aespa is preparing for their comeback, so maybe they are not in their best condition + they don't have enough confidence to perform yet. The real question is why SM doesn't let them perform live when they can and they have more fun.

Sue the fucking company for being so incompetent. April was disbanded because the company and I even think the managers didn't do shit for them. They knew Hyunjoo was unstable and they throw a bunch of kids to resolve it, of course it would cause the worst outcome. While the disbandment was unfortunate now at least they are finally free from the company.

Why wear replicas when you can buy something as good, pretty for the same price in local brands. I get the whole luxury brand illusion, but you can still achieve that without using chanel replicas in every inch of your body lol.

I watched the show, and is true the part about colorism. One of the girls has really pale skin and it was pointed as a beauty trait, while is true is subjective wether you like more pale or tanned skin they are still good traits not one is better than the other one lol. I have more issues with the show (but this also make things more interesting), like how men were more shallow than the girls. Even Freezia isn't as shallow as the guys.

[Pann] I don’t look forward to aespa’s awards ceremony performances
panqueque replied to Aegyo's topic in Netizen Nation
They are the same, performance isn't equal to dance. Itzy are so much better dancers than aespa that's why they look better in video but for stage presence they are literally the same (however I love that Itzy sings live). If SM put more effort like getting back up dancers and an story line for the performance people wouldn't be complaining, they didn't even put some props. -
American singers have more skills since they only train that, idols train in other areas because they are for a different market, so it's not comparable. While is true American artists have a little more creativity and probably have more skill they still have awful manufactured management is just less notorious (look at the credits in the album). Stage presence is a little bit better in American singers since they have more stage freedom however they are a lot of them who still have 0 since they only sing good. Kpop system sucks the joy out of the idols but this doesn't mean the other industries are better. Both industries still have the same issues with creative freedom, autotune, plastic surgery, weight, being overworked and having unfair payment.

Official Plastic Surgery Thread
panqueque replied to JessicaRabbit's topic in Celebrity Photos & Videos
In her body I don't see any changes besides the gradient weight loss, her body structure is pretty much the same. The face however is a different story: 1.- she had her eyes done after debuting in 15& in 2013, and done something to make her eyes bigger in 2014 along with a very subtle nose job (not notorious until you look her nose tip) 2.- She stayed almost the same until 2018, she had another nose job (not a doctor but guessing an implant), I think she had a blepharoplasty (?), lip fillers, fat grafting in her cheeks, a posible buccal fat removal and something to her jaw (I have no clue since you can still see her mandible angle). 3.-I think till 2020 she did her eyes, only overused lip fillers and had some little retouches with botox around the jaw area. 3.- In 2021, she did her eyes again, had another nose job (maybe a revision?) and the staple jamie filler lol. I don't know how she changed her jaw area since her face structure was more square and now is oval, however her mandible angle is still there (I don't think is botox only). Hope to hear more opinions, since I think she has done more. She had so many changes that I'm too lazy to put all the images but here is her audition in kpopstar: and her latest live Personally I wished she stopped at hopeless love since she looked really natural and pretty, but being an idol is a tough job and people constantly pointed her looks or her weight when she always was cute :(.- 26,504 replies

I think it depends if it cause more harm than good. For general spaces the problem isn't the age/gender is how they behave, like some people enjoy the cafes/camping or restaurants and they might not meet the requirements to enter the space and that is discrimination. This however doesn't apply to spaces that legally shouldn't be for everyone, like bars or casinos.

THIS^ Alsooo steroids or enhancements (?) are really common in SK so the probably KJG is on something is really high. Even idols use some of them, they are specially suspicious when they get muscular in 2 months lol. If he didn't sue now his whole image of "healthy and diligent"would have tarnish, he would probably have to retire from the industry and even go to jail.

Golden Child Jangjun is under fire for "mocking" BTS V
panqueque replied to himi's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
but that doesn't reflect the quality... -
For the people who neg me, when I went to korea I saw this type of fan behavior and even worse in all groups with a decent following (NCT, Monsta x, Twice, Astro, SVT, BTS, etc), using stairs and big cameras for concerts is just the mild stuff (it wasn't only the korean fans). It's the fan culture, don't go to twitter to follow fansites or like their pictures and then pretend to have some morals. Even in other countries fans are the same when idols come, and later they pretend korean fans are worse lol.
-
Just being fair, is not only NCT with this type of fans. Groups that are famous always have this problem, is not only nct is the fan culture.

[PC] [theqoo] MUSIC BANK WINNER'S ENCORE LIVE TODAY
panqueque replied to pinkpanda_spirit's topic in Netizen Nation
Enhypen and TXT do not sing as bad as they seem, but their agency doesn't even try to give them a low register easier songs. They keep giving them high key songs and do not provide them some vocal training, most of them have some degree of damage in their vocals. Giving them this type of songs does not make them improve their vocals it just makes them worse. If they invested in some good vocal trainers they wouldn't have to make all their groups have to go to public humiliation. -
[NB] ITZY's Yuna proves to fans she weighs 46 kg at 170 cm tall
panqueque replied to Youahaen's topic in Netizen Nation
Camera adds a lot of weight, I saw performing live Hwasa twice and she was sooo skinny and underweight. Idols are really skinny, is just that everyone looks like that so people loose perception, imagine how skinny are skinny idols in real life. Even if she is lying about height and weight she is still underweight, like all idols by industry standard they sadly are bullied to look like that. Fans play a crucial part too not only the company btw
