I mean obviously Boa has a lot of power within SM, she has stocks and is an executive director. While I do agree she didn't participate directly in what music would be in and the concept she definitely has a say. Boa might not be as popular as her debut era but she has the skills and the experience to hold this group. I wish they would just get mad at SM for giving Red Velvet Birthday or for not giving Aespa a comeback last year.

[pannchoa] [enter-talk] LE SSERAFIM ALSO LIPSYNCED WHILE SITTING DOWN
panqueque replied to hee_woo's topic in Netizen Nation
Idols have always lipsync, even the real "live" is heavy on autotune. Ive and Lesserafim have singed live in radios and in encores, but i'm sure they are very tired + or don't wanna waste the only shot they have on live vocals. If it was the opposite people would complain about the live vocals, and hunt them down like they did to twice. -
'Dispatch' posts article about Chuu and BBC

It wasn't Jaden Jeong who made the contracts, he sold the idea of loona to the company before blockberry had a change of management. He was only the creative director, pretty sure triples have some horrible contract too but no clue if Jaden Jeong is at fault of this too. The only idols who have 0 debt or gain more than minimum wage at their first years are SM,JYP and YG since they have the money to invest on their idols, any other company most likely have them paying some or all the extent of those debts. This doesn't mean big companies don't have slave contracts, ask yourself how SM makes them sign to a 7 year contract which is actually a 10 year one. -
Girl group bugAboo has officially disbanded
panqueque replied to love's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
They really had poor results, but this can be because poor marketing/concepts and not that many promotions. While i feel sorry for the girls who still wanted to be an idol, I'm happy they aren't working with Ryan S.Jhun as their CEO. -
I think is for the best, while we don't know them personally art-wise they started to feel like the same person. Hope each can find their identity now instead of being each others identity which wasn't very healthy.
-
So Chuu is not in Loona anymore but still in the company? I hope all the girls can run as soon as their contract expires.

Why people are surprised? Didn't BTS perform in Saudi Arabia while being UNICEF ambassadors? I don't know how much freedom they have within the company, but Hybe is known for being a greedy company lol. Of course Jk has some fault at this, but people should have riot the company not only him, at the end of the day the final decision is still from the company.

it was horrible, the organization and the concert. I'm glad the idols didn't get injured by the rain, but the organization knew that the weather wasn't great and they didn't want to change the date, I even blame some companies since they didn't want to change the date either. Many fans now are sick, hurt and also disappointed. Also as a side note, some knetizens are mad because they were being "racist" with the "korean fans", but the ones who got kick out in the concert by the fans and the staff were famous ssgs who also were fansites.
-
Concerts have always been like this, specially the ones who has popular groups depending on their country. The problem is the standing area, if they had seats thing would be more organized since you would have a sense of what is your space. People would not try to pass you to be closer to the artist, since you will have some right with a number. Don't know why they kept selling standing areas with the amount of accidents that they have.

Don't feel bad if you liked him, think that is very difficult to know how they actually behave behind the cameras (that's why most sasaengs are the ones who realease an scandal if they felt "betrayed"). We really don't know them at the end of the day, that's why every scandal people would defend them to death since is not the image we "perceive".

[NB]Girl group members who almost debuted in Aespa
panqueque replied to Aegyo's topic in Netizen Nation
People still drag Giselle every time they can. I understand you don't like her for her past behavior, but saying she is untalented is literally not true. Giselle is the only member who can speak fluently english, japanese and korean, their concept literally is marketed to international audience. Aespa overall can't dance but they always drag Giselle since is the weakest link. She can sing and is the only decent rapper besides mark in SM. Male idols only have to dance decently (and some look bored to death) and people would never criticize them. I have seen many male idols doing way worse than giselle, that cannot even sing a single line and get praise for doing the minimum. I'm pretty sure if Aespa were a boy group they wouldn't get half of the hate they get, every time they do something "incorrect" or a "controversy" people get wild here, but for male idols is between oppa didn't mean it and he need to reflect :(. -
The video and explanation looks bad, I mean if it was from other angle maybe it could have another explanation. There were some people saying he did the same stop sign to other people in the crowd, but still looks bad to skip some fans. Rather than cancel him hope he learns to respect all their fans.

Official Plastic Surgery Thread
panqueque replied to JessicaRabbit's topic in Celebrity Photos & Videos
I think seulgi had a nosejob before debut and had her noistrils and tip touch up after her debut. What makes Seulgi face look natural is that she never touch up her eyes and her overall round structure, and got very subtle changes over the years. I think she got fat grafting to her cheeks and under eyes at the right time and not excessively to keep her round face, a subtle nose job and lip lift . I'm doubting if she got a cheekbone reduction since it she had a more prominent cheekbone before and reshaped with fat grafting, but not sure.- 26,504 replies

Wonyoung was popular but not enough to be 1#, her popularity came afterwards when she was pushed as a center. Sakura should have been 1# it was obvious but she didn't, even 2# should have been kaeun. I really like "after like" is a great song, so I just they haven't doing sajaegi with I've since they haven't done with other groups recently.

Being synchronize with the members doesn't equal to being a good dancer. Irene and Yoona hide their lack of technique it by being in sync (Irene is very stiff and Yoona doesn't coordinate her body) but multiple members are actually better than them, like Taeyeon, Soohyun, Jessica, Joy even Wendy. Is just a false perception created with marketing. Giselle doesn't have a bad technique but lacks stamina which explain her mistakes or powerless moves. People prefer to put the blame on Giselle but aespa as a group has terrible synchronization, you can prove this by looking at the original choreos making them all othem getting the choreo wrong. If Giselle wasn't in aespa I'm pretty sure people wouldn't say she is "untalented". She might not be a good dancer but that doesn't mean she can't rap, dance or sing.

What? Yoona and Irene can't sing, and have very average dancing skills, their only talent was being the face of the group. Giselle is about the same as these too in dancing skills, is the only decent rapper in SM, can actually sing and be stable, besides talking korean, japanese and english fluently. I get people don't like giselle for having controversies, but don't act like she doesn't bring something to aespa.

It depends if the person gets something that harmonize their face rather than getting an anime nose because they can. I don't want to put examples but in kpop many good looking faces have been ruined/improved after surgery. I don't think being pretty influence the outcome of plastic surgery, rather the recommendation the doctor gives you.

Still kinda weird, Lily was a known trainee and NMIXX was a very anticipated group they underperformed in the charts but physically not because they had a lot of fans anticipating so it makes sense. I can understand them having a ton of fans wanting to buy their album but digitally doesn't make sense. Maybe they had good marketing in korea releasing all the song of the album before, but I still don't get how they did so well digitally. IVE and Lesserafim who had 2 Izone members didn't chart digitally as well in their first week when they released their debut songs. So I'm a little bit skeptical.

fromis_9 will become an 8-member girl group starting in August
panqueque replied to Lee's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
Be happy for her, I'm pretty sure she didn't gain money since she had her original contract with another agency and hybe didn't offer her any better. Maybe now she can have more options and get actually paid. -
From the start it was creepy, but fans didn't care and shut down everything questionable because they are too invested. This type of concept, clothing choice and marketing has always been there, kpop fans are so obsessed with youth that it hasn't changed almost anything from 2010. Is okay if you like the songs, but criticize this instead of insignificant things, since it could change the way the company manages them.
