My babe [OH is the only place I can be so delulu ] One major difference in between two systems came from different priorities of the education- SK put equality and centralisation higher than the freedom of getting whatever education you can afford to get such as establishing expensive private schools compared to the state. Hence the average quality of the service a far better in SK but for elite education the state is better geared for it though it has rather extreme inequality in the service quality and provision across the country. Depends on one's your social & economy class one system works better than other. Like this?

Anyone under 19 with any middle school qualification will be accepted to most public high schools in SK, regardless of the score, except some prestigeous or art or science specific schools. I see not much difference in the system between SK and the state, major difference would be the quality of the service and the literacy rate- which the state is behind. The movement between social & economic class in SK is much fluid hence the competiton is fierce if one needs to find a key reason behind it. Well- enjoy while it lasts as it's about to disappear according to the latest summer budget and the manifesto. No problem and hope you don't get disencouraged by this- there are people prob worry more than us and but untimately share the same sense of protection and love towards our babe.
