Well I think part of those problems were the company's reliance on gimmicks. ChAOS was still technically a dancing idol group, but their choreo was so lazy and half assed, and Piggy Dolls were based around their... heavier image, but that when to shit when they lost weight So far they've done well with MR.MR's style. Having members emphasize vocals rather than forcing them to have a rapper is pretty good.

My ultimate bias with one of maybe two idols from my home city... I love this picture

And he's young too The market is saturated with idol groups around their average age, but there's so few male soloists in their early 20s. Look at Roy Kim or Eric Nam, both have their own musicality supported by their company. And Tey knows what kind of music he's inspired by, he's always covering classical music and older ballads.
