I think its because of the fancams and recent performances. We only saw glimpses of him during M&M and some stages.Also he proved a lot of people wrong by being himself and he can be one of the main vocals with more training. Junhwe is lonely T_T

Realistically...I do think Chanwoo is going to be one the members whether we like it or not. YG loves him too much. He has already won the Korean and Chinese fan votes too.

I think the ending to M&M is going to be much worse than WIN. YG did mention that they have no plans for the trainees that gets left behind. For some reason I have got used to them... it would feel strange to not see them in IKON. Looks like everyone's become quite close too.

I'm really not sure why he isn't that popular in Korea since they all like to go on about 6b. I thought all the original members would be really popular. I don't know why but I am getting a bad feeling... sometimes I think its actually going to be OT4 and Chanwoo/Hongseok/Jinhyung. Maybe its nothing but still. I think the new trainees are getting more attention than Donghyuk and Yun...
