  1. This has nothing to do with Yuri's health (and the poor girl shouldn't have been dancing in the first place). Groups perform with some members absent all the time. It's just SM being a mess.
  2. yeah, apparently she confirmed it during the fansign. i wish she'd just stand on a stool and sing or something, the comeback is important but it's not worth hurting herself even more
  3. There aren't that many charismatic performers among the wanna one boys. the brand new music and Ong are good, Jaehwan too (surpringly so), but I'm disappointed by Daniel, Jihoon and Minhyun are really meh.
  4. this is honestly embarrassing. also you guys need to understand that they're not going to have their best physical sales with this album. the first week sales are very high because most bulks have already landed.
  5. i don't see what's so confusing about this? snsd still have a bigger fandom than gfriend, hence the hearts, and tons of songs are 'playing all over hongdae'. conspiracy theories are pretty tempting when a cb' not doing as well as expected, but there's literally nothing to support that.
  6. Yoona's I like to party is the best snsd english intro line ever, and that's a fact
  7. Thanks for the fan acc and the translation! I also saw she mentioned her hip joints hurting, I wonder if that's related to what the fan saw.
  8. I don't care for ITNW ballad version. Well, the TD version is iconic, but the subsequent covers don't have the same emotion. And Tiffany literally never hits her high notes right in this.
  9. yeah jazz is great for her, and she also got so much better at runs! hope she gives us the r&b single we need for her next solo adventures. i'm not sure we'll have tons of live performances though, the choreography seems pretty hard and the vocal parts are not easy either (and listening at the recent SM comebacks, 90% of live perfs are either lip-synced to the cds or to the same pre-recorded vocals)
  10. yeah, that'd make sense. bg songs typically shoot to the roof at the beginning of the hour and then drop (which would indicate that people stream and then it's counted et voilà , that's why i was wondering about that. but i guess that if my idea worked, kfans would already be doing that instead lol
  11. So guys, I have a question about melon streaming. Typically, it looks like fandoms stream at the beginning of the hour and drop at the end of the hour (because your streams only count once per hour), but I was thinking, would it change anything to try and stream in like the last 5 minutes? (the idea being that the song would then be higher on the next hour chart)
  12. This whole issue is imo way overblown. Ktybar stopping their bulk isn't going to hurt soshi's sales (unless you were expecting them to put as much effort into that as in taeng's solos, which is just not realistic), and the fans who want to buy albums can still do it through other group orders. The cfandom just seems messy in general, and that's what comes with having a lot of attention and a lot of dedicated fans.
  13. yeah, obviously. yoona and taeyeon cfans share a certain nuisance power, so when things don't go their way, they do more than just complain
  14. most choreographies manage to make sure that all members can be seen during the chorus. i don't think it's a big deal (mainly because it's a kyle hanagami choreography and they're often disappointing), but that's pretty distracting
  15. Interrupting this (very instructive btw) discussion to ask about snsd: I'm curious about taeyeon's run in their latest teaser (girls are back -if it's bad form to ask about a teaser, feel free to ignore me obviously); the notes sound clearly separated to me and it's not that fast, but I'm not sure it's good? also tiff has some high notes, but they sound pretty strained to me.
  16. i'm a bit disappointed at how little tae's voice was present in the teasers (she's had some choruses obviously and some ad-libs, but yk)... like it makes me think about her w korea itw, where she talked about having to sing short parts (i understand it as having short parts relatively to her solo, but i hope it's not actual short parts lol).
  17. Lion Heart is SNSD's best album and I wish they'd go back to that more modern sound instead of paying homage to their old sound or whatever like they seem to be doing with their next album.
  18. LH is a really easy song, not sure the upcoming ones will be as easy -and if they aren't, they'll lipsync, lbr. I get the concern though, but there's not much she can do except not sing for a while.
  19. snsd usually lipsync or use pre-recorded vocals so... party had literally one actually live performance during the whole promotion period, and lion heart not much more than that.
  20. Yeah, there are tons of ugly nose jobs in the industry and idt hers was that bad. The eye corners thing is a bit sad to me though, since her pre 2015 eyes were imo super cute, but it's not tragic. Just makes her face a little more generic I guess.
  21. i get why people complain about line distribution when good singers are left out, but most of the time, it's fans complaining about tone-deaf singers not getting to sing much. but like, if you're an idol with, say, 5+ years experience and you still can't handle singing in tune, do you really deserve to sing more than 10 seconds?
  22. i disagree about her sounding uncomfortable, but I guess that's subjective. but anyway, I don't think you should worry about that hurting her voice because her technique has improved, and the song itself doesn't require her to go as high as Twinkle, an era which did hurt her voice (because she had to scream through multiples high notes, and she obviously doesn't do that in Fine). i feel like she needs some rest though -not because of the song, but because she's been singing a lot in the past two years.
  23. She realy doesn't strain at all in Fine though, except for the high note at the end?? Like I'm sorry, but if you really think twinkle was easier to handle for her, then I don't know what to say. What happens with Fine is that she pushes abit, which makes her sound more constricted than usual, but that's not strain. And she doesn't strain more often now either -if anything she strains way less often, because her technique is significantly better now.
  24. she might be in a bad condition, but it's not a hard song for her (harder than like rain and 11:11 for sure, but you know) and she handles it really well (and without strain) most of the time
  25. Rewatching the danish girl for some reason, and Eddie Redmayne is such a hammy actor lmao (not that you should expect anything different from oscar-bait movies but yknow). Anyway, the academy has shit taste and it sucks that oscars have so much legitimacy.
