It's very easy to see why Nu'est flopped in the first place, and them gaining traction because of the huge show that was p101 (and because of mnet's editing team) doesn't change the fact that they have one good dancer, one decent-ish singer, and nothing more. Aron and Ren are tone-deaf, Minhyun sounds weak and thin, and Jonghyun can't rap at all (plus his voice sounds like shit. like at least some bad rappers have nice tones, but he sounds like a boy going through puberty trying to swallow gravels). More importantly, it's hard to find a concept for them: while Jonghyun, Ren and Minhyun are flower boys, Aron and Baekho look old as shit.

Taylor Swift is way overrated as a songwriter, and especially as a lyricist. Bitch writes as literally as a teenager and sucks as using literary devices, when she tries. Her music is as basic and predictable as her team's marketing strategy (which, again, don't get the praise for it, it's so fucking transparent) and people buying into it don't make her smart, it just makes them stupid.

Pretty much. Like Taeyeon had barely any screentime in HT and KB but she appeared a lot on RM, because she was actually funny there. And if you compare that to their 2015 variety shows appearances, several girls had little screentime in RM (including Tiff iirc), and that's most likely because they weren't that interesting to show. When you're in a group with several variety stars/people who actively try to be funny and are good at it, that's bound to happen.

Hmm I think you're selling Tiffany and snsd short tbh. Even if the public is not familiar with kpop and the group, I think that being from a huge asian group can make for a great story, and that's something you can capitalize on (well, moreso with music than with acting, but still).

Taeyeon is still a relatively new soloist and her career is fragile. Other Big 3 companies would never take her in imo, if only not to get into bad terms with SM.

Thanks! I'll try to watch earlier eps then. And yeah, I figured there were a lot of inside jokes (I got the Sangmin-debt ones because there are already tons of them on God of Music lol). I watched RV's most recent episode, not the older one.

Which episoddes would you guys recommend? I've been trying to get into the show because I like Sangmin and Heechul, but the episodes I've watched (RV and Exo) make me think that the concept is a bit messy (like in the exo episode, the last game was incredibly boring and it lasted for like 20 minutes). I guess episodes with less members are funnier though.

Do you guys think it's possible they'll go on some festivals like they did after the Lion Heart promotions? (or at least I think they were done promoting it on music shows and still performing, might be wrong about that). Like thinking about it, them not being on music shows is fine -the first week is the most interesting one anyway, it seems tiring as fuck to pre-record, and the camera work sucks.

Taeyeon has been performing really well this cb! Dancing on point (her all night intro), expressions on point, (pre-recorded but oh well) vocals on point. I was especially surprised by her mcountdown perfs because fan accounts alluded to her being visibly tired, but she was just really good.
