True , In Europe GD is still unknown. But any publicity is good publicity. I like the comment. To see a commenter with such VIP fervor, the kind we usually see in asian music sites, coming into daily mail. It's refreshing tbh. Vanessa is high class but she left music for quite a while . Diplo, Flo Rida are more current now. The commentor's not wrong in that department. * In one of Graham Norton episodes this year, Dara of 2ne1 was mentioned. One of Graham's guests was a comedian named Dara O'Brien. He said his twitter gets responses and birthday wishes from Dara's fans thinking he's her (how can these people such huge mistakes?) It'd be nice if O Brien would talk about it more or somehow mentioning her group's name but he didn't. (spread that YG!)

"This boy is good... he improved the most .. blablabla.." YG hired them to be judges. It's expected for them to go with what the 'boss' wants.

The battle where Tablo was a judge.. I believe YG asked them to choose Chanwoo over Junhoe. Most performance shows are like this, the main judge will have a big say whether somebody's going to the next stage or not. Only in some systems, they would take account of the total judge votes. There is no way Chanwoo was better than Junhoe. Whoever believes the judges chose Chanwoo because he was better than Junhoe is dumb. Those people are dumb. As you said, it was done to show Chanwoo had improve. Which I totally agree. Compared to Chanwoo's own (lower) level of performance, sure he improved. Compared to everybody else.. no.

Yes, with some vocal training, his vocal performance should be great. In the finals, he has the fortune (or not?) to be in the same group as Junhoe & Dong Hyuk. Maybe BI did give the extra support to Dong Hyuk, to help his OT6 brother out as some of you have said. Or maybe, the strategy of the performance was to highlight the vocal contrast, Junhoe's voice against the sweet voice of Dong Hyuk. Hong Seuk, with his tone, was more in the middle. Dong Hyuk joins team, 5th November 2012. Somewhere in May 2013, WIN started. That's about 5 month from his inclusion in the group. Jinhyeong & Chan Woo joins team, 7th May 2014. Hong Seuk joins team 11th July 2014. If I were to compare, the 5 months training between the four. Dong Hyuk's performance during WIN was way more believable than the 3 new trainees. His vocal strength - no. Vocal style - fits iKON. His dance = great. He has never looked out of place in vocal performance and dance. 2 years later, his dance has elevated to a new level. His vocal, the finals, has shown improvement. He found a way to work around his vocal deficiency for the finals. Though there's still plenty of room to improve vocally. Taeyang heard it live and complimented DH. There was a dip in volume though. Junhoe turned his head toward DH when that happened. Maybe mic problem, maybe DH's mistake. Jinhyeong, after 5 months. Saw great improvement in vocal and dance. Chan Woo, after 5 months. Some improvement in vocal (undesirable tone though) and dance (but not as good as Jinhyeong imo) Hong Seuk, after 5 months. Great improvement in vocal but still hasn't shown his ability to sing that fits the style of ikon. So, I don't know if I should use the word 'great' now. There's some improvement in dance.. but still look awkward. Looking at all 4, Dong Hyuk's improved in performance a lot more than the other 3 guys although he lacked in vocals. He blends in the performance style. Hong Seuk seems to be the slowest to improve although he can sing well beautiful tone. Not as deep as Jinhyeong, but beautiful nonetheless. I wrote that since I remembered iKON might debut early next year. Might. If Hong Seuk gets in, he needs to train to the death, and the other members must spend more time with him to help him. I'm okay with anybody being in iKON except Chan Woo. He doesn't bring anything new to the table.

This made me remember when in LiG. HS couldn't match well with Lee Hi (phrase took off from vocal coach). and Lee Hi was very pissed. LH wasn't happy with HS due to the technical reasons. Maybe his delivery was off i.e. not suited to the style they wanted. Those lines we saw him rehearsed. In the end, he didn't sing it. His lines were shorter than the other vocals ; LH & DH too. It's just speculation, maybe it was the same case in ENL. and SINOSIJAK. I don't like to assume things when it comes to relationship, but I'm going to try to jump in on the assumption train. On who's close to who. We don't get to see enough footage to form a close enough assumption. This is not Big Brother. From what I see, all the OT6 boys are nice to everybody. Especially Bobby. Maybe Junhoe & BI's a bit reserved than the rest. I can see Chan Woo adores BI. 2 battles under him. BI has probably helped Chan Woo a lot and showed he care enough to make Chan Woo better. It made Chan Woo feel grateful to BI. He chose BI as the coolest in one of the fanmeets. Probably wowed by BI's attitude in studio & on stage and BI's caliber in music & performance. Adoring BI doesn't mean he's close to BI. The sensitive and warm voiced Jinhwan and nice guy Yunhyung would make anybody feel warm and close with them. Chan Woo chose those 2 as prospective room-mates other than his newbie buddy. But, I saw in one of the comments in youtubes ep 7 referring to Unreleased New Apartment video. What he/she'd noticed. Hong Seok came in. Asked to "make some noise". Northern room and Master bedroom did. BI's & Bobby's voices are identifiable. Easily imo. We see Hong Seuk asking " why locking the door" to Bobby & BI's door. That made Jinhyeong & Chan Woo checked the door. Jinhyeong opened the door to Hong Seuk. Probably Bobby & BI forgot they locked the door. But shouldn't they unlock it when Hong Seuk asked about it? I think Hong Seuk is trying his best to be close to OT6. I think OT6 are nice guys and are trying to accept him. Whatever we see on stage can't be accepted at face value. It's part of the performance for them to be seen all happy together. Sometimes fancams can't be accepted too, cause they're in public, they maybe putting up a show, doing their part to help the trainees. If we want, we could sharpen our observational skills. Look at who initiates the gesture/s first, look at the nuances in reactions, the actions they made without realising it which still can't be taken in 100%. Cause they know they're on tv/camera/fancams. They are all nice people. We can't assume certain people are close to each other based on some manual gestures seen on stage/camera.

I feel like I'm in that second dimension like in Fringe. And I'm Olivia Dunham baffled at Mix & Match's voting world. It's so upside down here. The lacking in tone/vocal range/limp dance Chan Woo is preferred while the more talented kept invisible with meagre exposure compared to CW, . A poster in ikon thread pointed out how in real life/fancam, Jinhyeong's voice and delivery was much clearer better stronger at end of Let's Twist. But they muted him in the show. But they amp up Chan Woo's voice instead. This is just crazy. Crazy.
