  1. Real Man 84 full episode: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2cj0jg_%EC%9D%BC%EB%B0%A4-2%EB%B6%80-%EC%A7%84%EC%A7%9C-%EC%82%AC%EB%82%98%EC%9D%B4-e84-141214_fun
  2. So the title of their pre-release is "You Can Cry" and the title track composed by Hyunsik and Ilhoon is "You Can't Cry"? Somehow I'm not surprised, it's BtoB afterall...
  3. "Wow" needs a full acoustic version. I love the Yook Brothers with a sprinkling of Seo... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhpUoF0Ht5U&feature=youtu.be
  4. So Hyunsik's song for I'll Be Your Melody S2 is what Eunkwang had been hinting at... If I'm not mistaken the members have not openly complimented each other's performance in I'll Be Your Melody, except now; no wonder Eunkwang did in this instance. Because the vocal line are all good, I didn't really discern Hyunsik's voice is that amazing. Even when he does RnB backstage, I just thought he's good... I was impressed with his performance in Immortal Songs 2 (first appearance); I didn't realize he could do what he did with his voice in that performance, but I was still reserved in my enthusiasm for him. With this song in I'll Be Your Melody S2, I'm now officially in love with Hyunsik's voice, especially the parts when he sang the lower notes!
  5. Real Men 82: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2bem9l_%EC%A7%84%EC%A7%9C-%EC%82%AC%EB%82%98%EC%9D%B4-e82-141130_fun
  6. Eco Village/Merry House: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2b4ln4_eco-village-%EC%97%90%EC%BD%94%EB%B9%8C%EB%A6%AC%EC%A7%80-%EC%A6%90%EA%B1%B0%EC%9A%B4-%EA%B0%80-e11-141126_fun
  7. He's too handsome anyway. It's a way to make the universe seem more fair.
  8. Sungjae is a stan magnet; he stans yogurt. So it's Eunkwang in I Will Be Your Melody Season 2 this time. I think I like his voice better when he just sings sweetly at the beginning and end of the song. Hopefully, Cube will also have English subs for The Beat upon release like last time.
  9. Nice try with "trying hard." Most Melodys obviously have a hard time trying to pick favorite songs, just like how it is difficult to have just one bias among the group. I think with BtoB, Melodys have to actively/consciously try to NOT like some of the group's songs; it's easier to just accept the fact that all their songs are likeable, or at least playable. Hmm... Give the other songs a listen for a couple more times, and you might have to add more songs to this list. Their latest album is the only one that had two songs that I thought I didn't like; not anymore... I really recommend "When I Was Your Man" from their Thriller album; it has a charm that becomes more potent when you watch a video collage like this: The video was assembled using the released MV and two other performances. The song showed the improvement in Sungjae's voice. He was good to begin with, all of them are (all main vocal level from debut); but he improved by leaps and bounds. Changsub also just became more confusing because he was not only the 4D with millions of derp faces; he became the sexy gentleman. The gentleman part was solidified by the first episode of Cool Men. A lot of people noticed how sexy he was in the "Thriller" MV; "When I Was Your Man" MV and performances showed the combined sexy and gentleman, maybe because he controlled his dorkiness. Well, except for one performance when he and Sungjae probably couldn't take it anymore and let it out for a second... They just can't help being the biggest dorks...
  10. You didn't like "When I Was Your Man" from this album? But then again, like you said, you'd probably end up listing all their songs.
  11. I'm glad they seem to have had a brief taste of success, even if it's outside Korea... What is Cube thinking?!
  12. "The Beat" actually had English subs the moment it was posted on Youtube. Cube is working harder for BtoB ???
  13. Better quality vid of Real Man ep 79: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x29ph3v_%EC%A7%84%EC%A7%9C-%EC%82%AC%EB%82%98%EC%9D%B4-e79-141109-full_fun Eco Village/Merry House ep 9: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x29p9oy_%EC%97%90%EC%BD%94%EB%B9%8C%EB%A6%AC%EC%A7%80-%EC%A6%90%EA%B1%B0%EC%9A%B4-%EA%B0%80-e09-141109-full_fun
  14. I personally prefer "Midnight" over "Beautiful Night" and "I was Your Man" over "Thriller," both of which are pre-releases. I don't know if I can claim though that both would have fared better with the Korean public or the I-fans.
  15. The hard work and effort have to be directed in the right direction though. It's not like they don't work hard enough as it is. Sungjae is even thankful he can actually sleep 8 hours while shooting "Real Men" instead of the 3-4 hours they get while promoting. Just imagine preferring a physically brutal shoot... If the info I read is right (or I understood it right), Hyunsik even went back to the composing room after their after-concert meeting; if that's not hard work and dedication, I don't know what is. Of course he probably wouldn't have been able to sleep anyway because of the adrenaline-high from the concert; but it seems staying up late is a norm for them. The sad reality is hard work (and worse even talent) does not always equate to success; it's a big component, but there are other factors that have to come into play.
  16. Is Cube about to release part 2 of "I Will Be Your Melody Season 2"? I just saw Sungjae's song posted on Youtube. I'm not posting the link here since it's not from the official channel. Personally, I don't favor Sungjae's song choices; however, the songs he likes at least showcases his vocals and technique. Even in the first season of "I Will Be Your Melody," I liked Changsub's song better. Changsub's song choice this season, just like the one from season 1, seems like the type I'd listen to over and over again. Sungjae's collab with Peniel during the first season was awesome though. Ilhoon's song choice was the one most likely to be most popular, not just because of him, but because of the original singer and the song itself just fits like a glove.
  17. Maybe they should get us as consultants for their next comeback... I'm not an expert on Kpop, but maybe the "experts" in Cube could do with some help from people who are not too "near" and are actually seeing something that they can't see. I like how they are allowing BtoB to just be what they are, ehem... dorks; it's fun just watching their antics. However, I'm sure the members themselves came into this for the music and Cube seems to be failing them in that area. The general consensus seems to be that they just need the right songs. I think it's also not just a good song; it has to be a song that fits BtoB, both musically and lyrics-wise and it has to be promoted the right way.
  18. If Hyunsik could help with turning a simple and old-fashioned song like "Bright Full Moon" almost into a modern musical incorporating different genres, he could, with guidance, come out with a song that's just a fit for their group and is very distinct from the generic sounds of other groups. They like to distinguish their (above average) vocal line and the rapper line, but even their rapper line could be "regular" singers in other groups. It's ridiculous how under-utilized their vocal skills are in their songs. Even Minhyuk can harmonize at the drop of a hat when they start fooling around backstage or in their practice rooms.
  19. You might have hit the nail on the head. I collected the numbers from their Youtube views for "Beep Beep" and "You're So Fly" MVs (I don't like forming opinions without factual basis); it shows that the only reason the former was more "successful" was that the first five days or so had more cumulative views than the later. During the first 24 hours of release, "Beep Beep" already had 100K+ views more than "You're So Fly." That could mean there was more "noise" because of BB's name and people are more inclined to try a song he's attached to. The numbers on the second week seemed random when they alternated in having better view increases. After about 12 days, "You're So Fly" actually had bigger daily view increases and it continued until the end of the promo period. If they had promoted longer, like they did with "Beep Beep," "You're So Fly" could have narrowed the gap even more. But then of course the first week is more important, since those are a big deal for winning in shows and getting people to actually buy the album. The first week's good numbers could also be attributed to a seemingly longer and maybe better pre-release promo, not just BB's name. I think their fans' tenacity (and slightly bigger number because of Beep Beep's popularity and group/members' individual promo activities) helped with the later weeks' numbers. Believe it or not, even good or bad news about their not winning on music shows, their activities, and discussion of their (un)popularity seemed to have affected the daily numbers of the "You're So Fly" MV. What I don't get though is why they aren't being given songs that showcase their abilities, instead of songs that don't distinguish them from other groups. Something like these or even better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtwqZR8Z_no https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=toYAJarDQ0I
  20. I think it's impressive how they took on this topic head-on. They didn't pretend it doesn't exist; they didn't just bury it as if it never happened/happens, but they dealt with it calmly and with humor. I'm glad Changsub hinted that they felt the pain and that they are ready to show people who they are; they are not giving up. I also noticed that only the older members appeared in this episode; it implies that they took this seriously. They are protecting the young'uns. The "formal" setting with the table shows that this is not a normal/regular "The Beat" episode; they are not just lounging around or hanging out, taking on a mundane topic. I can only think of three kinds of people who spend even a few minutes of their time making hateful comments about groups: 1. Unhappy people who derives joy in hating; they'll never like anything. I think they're the pitiful ones. 2. People who just want to throw discord just because it's fun, basically trolls. They're in just for the reaction. 3. People who are threatened because they like another group, but they know that the other group is a worthy competition, if not better. Isn't getting this kind of interest better than being ignored because they're not worth the time to even notice? BtoB has gained enough attention lately that people are becoming aware of how good they are. They're becoming magnets for hate from people who will be threatened because they are ridiculously good looking with only a few not classically good-looking, above-average in talent, definitely not boring and quick-witted so they are variety gold-mines, and potential acting-dols. I think the comment about them being ugly is similar to a two year old calling another kid in the playground ugly just because the second kid has potential to attract thus take away playmates; some people don't like sharing. The dogs cows comment was probably from someone with very limited vocabulary who never realized that name-calling is something uneducated people resort to when they have nothing intelligent to contribute. Hopefully, Melodys don't react negatively to this hate trend and just take this in stride, taking the cue from BtoB. I've been observing a few (really miniscule) negative comments like this on their "You're So Fly" video and thankfully, no one really answers back. The comments are simply ignored and they eventually get buried among the mostly positive and encouraging comments.
  21. I've been lurking in this forum for a while, but only found this thread 2 days ago. Since I've decided to de-lurk, I thought why not ask about these performances that I stumbled upon yesterday? Okay, so I don't really need an opinion on the 3rd and 4th performances, since my opinion is already formed about those. The 3rd is simply a kiss-fest, with Simon Bowman having an open invitation to serenade me anytime. The 4th is Jonathan Pryce making sleazy endearing; I don't even remember his singing voice, but I had a smile on my face the whole time he was performing. My favorite song in that musical, "Bui Doi," is not included in this cut; partly because I'm probably the only one in the world who loves that song more than "Sun & Moon." I marathoned 3 covers of that song one time and I cried each time. So what do you think of these performances? Gigi and Kim did not perform "Movie in My Mind" the way it's usually performed in the musical and was given leeway to perform it as if in a concert. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUoMsy3qN1c
