It just sunk in, though I've been looking at the tweet a couple of times for maybe about 5 hours since it came out... BtoB topped the Tower Records Store-wide Overall Singles Chart for the whole month of March, but they released the album slightly less than a week left in March? How amazing is that...? I'm still confused though about Japan's sales. The group which topped the Oricon Charts was not topping the Tower Records Charts, though they were selling their album there since I saw their name on the top 10. In what stores do they sell their albums and is BtoB contracted to only sell their album at Tower Records? Does this mean that some customers are avoiding Tower Records stores because BtoB fans are swarming them? That seems to make sense. But why seemingly only sell at Tower Records? Not that I'm complaining, since it seems Tower Records loves them and is all out in support of them.

I'm not sure if Melodies don't want them to sing those songs. I think it's Cube which overreacts a lot of times. It's like how they overreacted about the sasaengdols tag. It seemed like they isolated BtoB after that and kept them from being too close to the fans because of that issue. Seriously, twitter ban? They almost disappeared the whole 2013; albeit that's also the same period that all the Cube artists had massive slides in their popularity. The quality of Cube songs during that period were also so so. Then they started trying to woo the fans again, but it became harder because by then, they have the flop tag attached to them and a lot of the old fans left (especially the sasaengs who are usually the ones who tend to bulk buy everything). 2014 became the massive push for BtoB, and they started gaining more fans; some of which are the types who can't control themselves and started acting almost like the sasaengs, so guess what Cube does again... They tweet against such behavior, instead of talking to them or controlling them at Cube cafe. I'm not saying such behaviors should be encouraged, but social media is iffy. Why not just post rules everywhere on the premises? I kinda understand how expensive extra managers/bodyguards are, but sometimes that's necessary. If some fans are extreme sasaengs, those are the ones who should be "handled," but if they're just Japan-level die-hard fans, who might drop by Cube cafe and scream uncontrollably for a split second, then that's not bad. After all, the really popular idols have those types (and worse); but have you heard of SM or YG using SNS to keep them at bay?

Because quite a number of those songs are similar to B2st songs? It's like they're banned from singing ballads because that's B2st's forte. The only slow songs they're permitted to release have to be like When I Was Your Man, jazzy or RnBish; and if they do release ballads, they're to be kept secret on the B side. And they can't dance to those songs, since again the B2st comparison. It's really sad; it's not their fault, it's not B2st's fault. Cube should just have let them stuck to their guns and let them do whatever kind of music calls to them.

Oh, and the two title tracks will have a portion with no background music; it will be completely acapella. The rap line will do the beat box and the rest will do harmonization with Changsub and Hyungsik alternately singing the melody. Minhyuk and Sungjae will also alternately provide the bass, while Eunkwang will as usual do his adlib runs.

The first title track is similar to Ed Sheeran's Kiss Me, with a heavy percussion and sang in a low key and a hint of country rock. The hint of sadness and almost desperation, but still with a remaining fight inside should come out. Hyunsik would shine with this type of song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFfKb_WEkCE The song is not going to be a love song. It would be something about staying strong because of people around and especially behind them. They stay standing up because they're propped up by people who love them. Then some Cube artists (especially G.NA and Noh Jihoon who are in similar binds as BtoB) and even Hyunsik's dad (for face recognition) and the other moms would have a cameo in the MV and some of their performances. B2st, 4minute, APink, or any of their gazillion artist friends' appearances would just be cherries on top. It's a statement that they are not going to pretend that they're strong; they are admitting their vulnerability and is not afraid to ask for a helping hand. I don't know if they can make this almost generic so much so that the topic of suicide can be even applied to the song. (told you this could backfire) This would have been even more perfect for them after they read those negative comments on The Beat and before they did well in Japan, but it's not too late. The second title track is similar to: It's a soul music, anthem type song, almost church music, definitely not a love song. It's sort of an answer/continuation of the first title track. Because they are strong, they won't stop singing/living because melody is in their hearts and their hearts keep beating strong (yes, I even have some lines of the song lyrics in my head). The word melody has different meanings: music, the fanclub, being and working well together since melody works better in harmony; and beat of course stands for them. So they'll keep singing because they have a lot of people behind them (reference to the first title song). Both songs danced with this type of dance: The dance will again tie the two title songs together. Cameos of other artists are not necessary for the second song, but would not be detrimental. I'm even imagining the key dance step for the first title track. The cameos will touch, almost caress, the members on their shoulders and the members will respond with a tilted head without looking at the cameos; it signifies a helping hand being offered and acknowledged. The second title choreo will have a lot of fists in the air type of dance, fighting choreo with a hint of the vibe in 4minutes' Crazy MV. These concepts keep changing in my head though... This is the current one, though I don't know if I explained it well.

Then again they'll be accused of being B2st copycats. I think that was the worst thing that happened during their early years; they had to distance themselves from the latter. Seriously, Cube should have hired me to help BtoB answer questions like that. Yeah, right... "We'll never be another B2st; that's impossible. They're way above our level; they're up there and we're down... I can't even see us now. But seriously, if we have to emulate another group, don't you think the best one to copy is B2st? We have many colors and sides to us; something similar to B2st is just one of them. Give us a chance to show those colors and you won't be disappointed." See... I'm not allowed to blink!!!

Isn't that somehow a combination of Beep Beep and You're So Fly MV? I think some of BtoB's songs have been skirting around the songs that have been posted. They just don't have MVs for them; plus, they haven't had enough fans to actually push the songs to everyone's consciousness. They need something that will really make them different... Like Mamamoo is different, even though they also haven't hit it big yet. BtoB has more fans (and haters) now, but they need to differentiate themselves with a song.

Hyunsik and Eunkwang would love that concept, but it's hard to compose a song with that concept that fits guys' voice. It could be as sexy as this: They proved in their Brand New cover that they can do sexy and fierce really well. Plagiarism is scary though, especially after the Pharrell and Robin Thicke case. Even "copying" a groove (I'm not sure if my word is right), even though the song is completely different is now considered plagiarism. They've already done something similar, I forgot the English title for "02. 잘 ì§€ë‚´ê² ì£ " from their Move album ; but they only sang this once in A Song for You without a dance. StormShadow, I'm not ignoring you. I'm still trying to find links and composing my answer in an understandable way. This is the longest I've ever spent answering someone's post...

I have two songs in mind (not Korean) and even the concept that would go with them; but I don't know if it will work in Korea. It could backfire.

Two tracks that are interlaced together and "create" a concept? Hah we're about to hit the 3rd page today! Edit: Nevermind, we just did, didn't we? I think I lost track.

Like I said before, it's part of the managers' jobs to protect the members even from themselves. The managers have to be clear in their heads that the members are human.

Even his "I'll be your backpack" line is actually a good metaphor; It's teenagery (can't find the word), just like the rest of the song. And if you know that Peniel used to treat his backpack like an appendage, it makes even more sense, since it makes the line sort of more personal. I know people think that's cringe-worthy though. What comeback, they never left...

Am I the only one who doesn't think badly of his English lines? I think I'm just used to people combining English with their native tongue, especially in Asia. They think nothing of it; it's just natural. Even here in the US, people use Spanglish or Mhonglish or whatever. Remember their cover of Shinwa's Brand New? His English lines fit. Even Ilhoon and Minhyuk have English words here and there in their songs. It's the attitude when he says those lines that matter.

I'm not going back to that thread. I made a mistake and clicked on it this afternoon. The comments are true, but... I chose to be in denial that exists.
