i'm older than him too. he's younger than my younger brother! hahaha. but that's why i think we older fans of jackson see him as more than just the 'oh my god he's so handsome' and 'i want my boyfriend to be like him' kind of thing. i dont' mean to undermine younger fangirl fantasies but i think some, if not most of us here on this thread, like jackson because we see more of his character? like you said, we like him as a person. if i were to try to put my finger on it, i would say that inherent quality is his sincerity in everything that he does - how he treats people, how hard he works, how he's willing to sacrifice so many things - to see someone give himself so wholeheartedly to live out his dream of making music AND making people happy... i mean, how can one NOT want to support that?
