  1. Thank you Aion. You rock. For some people, this might be a show for you to enjoy but lol, is it really that hard to understand the other group of people who can't enjoy because they're worried for the people who they think deserves to debut? To call someone to stfu is not just impolite but unconvincing to me in a forum, where threads are made for discussions aka opinions shared by people. I understand where you're coming from and I want to say let's just all respect each other's opinions without calling names.
  2. Actually you're not the only one. I'm still in the OT6 camp because so far, none of the 3 has shown enough desperation to want it as much as Donghyuk. And like what you said, his singing albeit not strong, is at least stronger than Jinhyung now and dancing, well we can see that for ourselves. He came from JYP so he, of course wouldnt suck lol. I will vote with the two main points: how much they improved and the potential. So if Jinhyung does fare better than Donghyuk by the end...I might vote for OT5 + 2. :| It's going to be tough on Jinhyung though, to improve that much. But it's the only thing that proves his potential and desperation. Hongseok gets a sure vote from me because his potential >>> the rest from the contending five(excluding Junhoe). If iKON debuts without him, they will be known as the group with only one solid vocal and hit or miss second vocals. But if he's in, the reputation of the group looks more promising.
  3. Yup, on the same boat with you, lol. How do you know the votes won't count? Not shading but I'm really curious how do people come to the fact that he's going to rig the entire thing? Sure the 30% might have a chance but the votes?
  4. Why did the ones who got critiqued made it in the end? Because of the votes. And who votes? Us, the audience. Sure YG has 30% of a say for the final lineup, but 70% lies on voting and with the editing that MNET goes for(all drama rama), I don't think that's very helpful as how it was a different case in WIN where the other team was shown with all the sad back stories and etc. YG did not anticipate the ending of WIN when you saw his face. Hence why I think he learnt his lesson and gave himself 30% of a say this time.
  5. People are starting to see, but because of the horrible editing that was made for ep 3's preview and ep, a lot of fans are still not warming up to him. Guys, we will have to vote for the lineup we want when the time comes because votes do matter and there's too many ppl who wants chanwoo in just because he's obedient and nice. (I'm really sorry to Chanwoo but unless he proves to me somehow with his skills, I can't bring myself to vote for him)
  6. Just went back and watched Yunhyung's team. WHAT THE CHANWOO. That was really terrible. And I'm trying to not bash him but that was definitely not up to the standard that I at least expected from all the comments given by the teachers. I couldn't even hear him over the music sometimes due to his voice not having the strength to project it out as a vocal.
  7. they were pretty decent, not too bad for Jinhwan's team. I missed the B.I's team when I started streaming too, but heard a little of Yoonhyung, he's decent as well. I stream~ B.I YOONHYUNG CHANWOO perf
  8. ^ Chinatown knockoff. LOLOL I can't. Chanwoo's really kind but unless he improves like 300%, I don't see how I will vote for him tbh. Like someone said here, isn't the main point of Mix N Match to find someone who can sing to join the group? I listened to Wait For Me by Team B last night and realized that they really need a good vocalist because that song is so lacking and dull.
  9. We can only blame how late he found Hong Seok and how he decided to have iKON fixed by the start of Big Bang's Dome Tour. All that points to only one man and sigh lol I feel that YG often adores his artists but because of his words(sometimes, really big words), his plans backfire and hurt his artists. This Mix N Match wouldn't have happened if he didn't say the losing team will either disband or undergo member changes last year. He could have just said, the team might disband but I will think about it after the whole thing ends. Then, he could have used the time to carefully pick one member who he thinks the team needs(lbr, they need a good vocalist), that member could have been Jinhyung or HongSeok or someone else and they would have ample time to train their vocals without ppl knowing about the nominees beforehand and the fake rumours come ruining Jinhyung's image with the public. He could have protected his artists but I feel that he's really someone who likes to hype things up and he has a lot of confidence in predicting the results(how he thought Team B might win judging from how disappointed he was last year) and now,(he has learned his lesson and gave 30% of the decision vote to the professionals) I'm almost certain he made this program and he's sure of the 6+ 1 endgame. I'm interested to see the results but on the other hand, I know how a lot of the people will vote for the members they like and in the end, it's not about the skills but personal preference which is why I do not fancy a lot of the singing contests because they depend on the votes too much and the results were often not convincing at all. He should have made it 50:50 imho. Regarding the voting, I think that fans around the world will still be able to vote through LINE but we will only get the instructions before the start of the voting week. It's ridiculous to think that only fans in China, Japan and Korea have a say.
  10. I only checked the first two pages and none of the threads are specifically about YunJunDong. They did talk about Junhoe when the second episode came out, it was mostly him slaying the other nominees. Yunhyeong and Donghyuk so far, i've not seen threads talking about them. Mostly, yes they are all about OT6(and +1 because YG said so) and majority are leaning towards Chanwoo to be the +1, saying things like "he's the one who listens to them the most" "most ok" and etc. They seem to like him because of his obedient personality. Yay, happy first anniversary! ^^
  11. I went to dc and read a few threads(alot of the threads have no comments it's kinda sad lol). Mostly the consensus is that it should be OT6 + 1 because the new trainees have only a few months of training compared to the years that the originals had. AND, it shows.
  12. aww it's tough to choose. Just like in the battles in ep 2, I thought Jinhwan and bobby's team was better but the professionals seemed to like B.I's team more. I think I'm looking forward to the vocal trio. I want to see how will they change the style of Luke James' I Want You to fit their vocals. But, overall, I think Bobby and Donghyuk and Jinhyung's team will be #1 for the mock test.
  13. Since everyone's talking about their top 3, I'm going to share mine too. My ultimate bias since the episode 2 of WIN has been Bobby and he will probably never get dethroned. lol his personality attracts me the most being so bubbly offstage and when he turns to the performer Bobby, he's a beast. Plus how adorable he and his mummy are<3 Second would be B.I slightly above the rest(he was my first fav since ep 1 of WIN for his leadership and how he places the team above himself), followed by Yoonhyung and Jinhwan and Junhoe(these 3 have a nice balance of talent, skills and personality). I'm definitely an OT6 fan since I started being a fan of team B starting from the WIN days so right now, it would be hard for me to think of how iKON might not have all of the original six. :( I will have to suck it up though haha, because if the three trainees showed us how much they improved with the extremely short amount of time compared to YunJunDong, there's no reason for them not to have a chance in this group. About the format of the show, I think I have finally understood from how YG said in ep 3. The thing is, will they stick to these teams that they are in right now for the future battles? I think not, since it's all about mix and match afterall. Hmm, I'm definitely interested to hear how you guys will split the members into the 3 teams for the real battles starting from ep 5 if I'm not wrong. I for one would like to see Bobby pair up with Junhoe/Yunhyung and get someone who's softer like Chanwoo or HongSeok. Come to think of it, adding Hong Seok to any of the rappers would be interesting since his singing style is very different from Junhoe. If he's in, he's going to add so much more possibilities to the genres iKON can take on in future, I'm so excited! EDIT;; A picture that is unseen to me. Looks like they went shopping for groceries. The other 4 must have been in charge of buying other stuff, for a party? Or just a meal. I'm anticipating the bonding~ Please do credit if you share this pic.
  14. I cannot believe how well received Hong Seok is over here at this forum because twitter and YouTube on the other hand is exactly the opposite of here. All because of mistranslations and assumptions that because of his expressions and the rest of the members'. 'Rude boy', 'Rolling his eyes at Hanbin' and 'disliking hip hop' all of which are untrue. Glad that you guys don't think of him like that because as someone who understands Korean, he was polite to all of them, with a straightforward personality that matches Junhoe. Junhoe's even worse if you ask me lol, and he's one of the youngest! I'm rooting for OT6 and Hong Seok right now, unless Jinhyung improves even further. Oh btw, hello, I'm new to this forum. Joined just because you guys are probably the more clear headed bunch of iKON fans I've seen. Besides tumblr. )
