Omonatheydidn't has a more insight on the JDM controversy which you can see here http://omonatheydidnt.livejournal.com/15562136.html .

As much as I love The Genius and Crime Scene I wish that JDM would never appear on television again and I wish to punch his stupid face. He literally said that he thinks that women are dumb and that they're not as smart as men. Also he made a disgusting rape joke about his friend's mom. A person like that who thinks that women are below him and is known to be perverted, can also be dangerous.

Even though he apologized, people don't get rid of misogyny overnight, they usually apologize just because they have to. I just wish people would know this about him when they watch shows that he's in and before they start defending him.

  2. From my understanding after watching the vid, the doctor says the best looking group is Infinite so people ask to change their look to resemble them just like Jake. The idol pics they put there is for reference who you want to look like

Well I thought that it might be so too but he did have a picture of him with Infinite in which he was in his work clothes. Of course it's not like I can force anyone to believe anything based on this, but personally I think it leans towards Infinite having gotten botox.

  3.

Well, there is a lot of things and I'll guess I'll just make a list:

    1) She outed their relationship on SNS without letting Myungsoo know, because if he had known that she was going to do that in the first place, then a lot of things could have been avoided. However, going by what was happening at the time (Myungsoo's photobook was coming out, Myungsoo was doing tour stuff, he was modeling for various magazines, and he was also acting at the time as well), it seems really fishy that she outed their relationship while all of that was going on, so it seems like she did it during a time where it would have had the greatest effect of gaining exposure. Never mind the fact that it could have partly been due to jealousy as well since there was a period of time where one of Myungsoo's costars posted a selca of the two of them together on SNS, and fans went pretty crazy about it, basically having ship wars and harassing the girl about posting the selca. And while that was going on, there were also some proof I believe of Doyeon and a friend of hers being particularly nasty to the girl as well, despite the selca being more of a friendly coworker thing than anything else. (So that just shows even more of her immaturity. And if you can be super nasty on the internet, then that says something about your personality as well.)

    2) Because of all the SNS stuff that was happening, Myungsoo ended up tweeting to his fans to knock it off with their behavior, as well as telling them that they needed to stop the shipping shit because he was his own person and they shouldn't be trying to fight over who he dates and whatnot. But after doing so, he ended up apologizing for that behavior and ended up deleting those tweets. Those deleted tweets were then taken out of context and many people started believing that these tweets were for Doyeon rather than the fans. So people started thinking he was really immature and one of those idols that uses SNS to secretly give messages to their significant other rather than using SNS for the fans. (However, what people conveniently forget that Myungsoo never made his twitter account a fan-only thing, so he could have used it for his girlfriend if he had wanted and not face any consequences since it's his twitter and not something that was for the fans. But this is Myungsoo and he's never used his twitter for non-Infinite related things in the first place, so it's like all these people conveniently forgot that Myungsoo is a professional person and wouldn't be the type to air his dirty laundry online like that. And it's not like he doesn't have a phone either, so he could have easily spoken to his girlfriend with that rather than using the internet for everyone to see.)

    3) Due to Doyeon outing their relationship like that and Woollim lying about it, essentially trying to protect their artist and the rest of Infinite themselves, a couple of fansites (well, lkimfan mostly) got pissed off and then decided to put their fansite on hold and lkimfan ended up writing a letter about how Myungsoo was at fault for everything and that he needed to learn a lesson. And because lkimfan is essentially one of the biggest, if not most popular fansites for Myungsoo, at the time, a lot of other fansites followed her suit. And because this was happening, a lot of fans took this immature behavior as something that needed to be listened to. And if your biggest fansites are going on hold, then obviously something is wrong, so a lot of people got angry because they felt like lkimfan and the rest of the fansites that went on hold had a right to be angry at Myungsoo, so they felt like they could be angry as well. (But what some people don't understand is that Myungsoo didn't really do anything wrong and was a victim in all of this and the fansites that went on hold and fansites like lkimfan were essentially making this whole thing about themselves, trying to paint themselves as victims instead of Myungsoo, so they really shouldn't have been listened to. But you know, some fans think they're always right and when you have these big fansites going on hold and being disappointed in Myungsoo, then you're going to have a shit ton of fans that are also going to be angry and disappointed in Myungsoo, even if he doesn't deserve it.)

    4) Timing. One of the biggest things that people were angry about was the timing of everything, especially since Myungsoo was doing so much stuff at the time, that people were just angry that all this happened during that time instead of Infinite's down time. And going by the fact that she ended up whining about what was happening to her a couple of months later (I'll just say that some sasaeng fans were not happy with her and they ended up stoning her for dating Myungsoo... But I don't even know if people should even take this as fact since it came from her and she didn't do anything about it, despite saying she would. Which is fishy, because if I was being physically/mentally/verbally abused by others for dating someone, then I'd want to sue them and I would follow through with it. However, Doyeon just whined about this happening, but didn't even do anything about it in the end. So that's really fishy as well and makes it seem like she may have been using this as a way to get even more attention by playing the victim card. And it's not like Doyeon didn't have money since she comes from money and she could have easily had a few fans get charged with that type of thing. So I'm thinking that she ended up lying about this stuff, because if some fans were charged with what she claimed they were doing, then people would know.), once again during a time where Infinite was doing a lot of stuff (they were still doing their world tour, they were at the MAMA awards, etc...) and it was after a big award show too where they ended up taking home some awards, she brought the issue back up during a time where it would have maximum exposure once again. So that leads me and others to believe that she might have had some ulterior motive for doing what she did. Thus people thinking she's even more of an attention seeker.

    5) Doyeon was recently signed under an acting company during this time as well, and with her dating Myungsoo and having her name attached to his, it's entirely possibly to say that she was just using him, rather than dating him for love. And with how she handled things, it's a little fishy to say that she was dating him for love rather than dating him for the chance to use his name and get her name out there. So a lot of people don't like her because there is a good possibility that she wasn't dating him because she liked him, but because she wanted to use him.

    6) If Doyeon was a good person, then Myungsoo would have stayed with her, but he didn't. And that right there raises a few red flags, especially since most people that dated and were found out to be dating usually stayed together. So with the two breaking up and just how Doyeon handled things, being rather immature about their relationship and potentially using Myungsoo as a way to further her acting career, people aren't very supportive of her in general. And just her airing their dirty laundry on twitter, doing stuff that most idol significant others shouldn't be doing in the first place, people don't like the fact that she essentially violated Myungsoo's privacy. They also don't like the fact that while this was going on, Myungsoo got the brunt of abuse from everyone involved while Doyeon pretty much got off scot free, sans a few fans (but with the information that was provided, it's entirely possible that she fabricated those stories as well). (Yes, there was proof of someone online hate, but evidence pointing to fans actually getting physical was never provided and no fans were charged with assault.) There is also the possibility that she ended up bringing a lot of this to light because she knew that she and Myungsoo weren't going to last, especially since Myungsoo didn't have much time to really do much with her (you could say he'd probably get at most a couple of hours to see her a week and even then, there were weeks were the two didn't even see each other due to his schedule), so she did it as a last attempt thing to get some fame from it.

    7) Going by the fact that most people thought she was crazy and got bad vibes from her from the very beginning, says something as well. Especially since this wasn't something that just Myungsoo stans felt, but was something that a lot of other member-stans felt as a whole. Plus, throughout the whole thing, she never once apologized for her behavior or blamed herself for outing their relationship, but was always blaming others for what was happening.

I think this covers most of it.

In the simplistic form and the timeline of events:

The whole travesty started when Inspirits, I surmised, were leaving bad comments on his Master's Sun co-star's Twitter. She posted a selca of them together (a really beautiful one at that, so that probably ruffled feathers, lol). She took it down an hour later. L then went to Twitter and while the tone of his words can be interpreted whichever way, it was basically him fanservicing the fans like "you're the only I would take pictures with~". I can't remember exactly.

Around that interval, I guess somebody decided to expose his relationship (apparently, it was an "unni" of her that began talking about it, but Do Yeon denied she even knew the girl). A blog post, like those you find on Pann, mounted up the proof collected. So it was quite a few stuff going on. Inspirits then took the words on Twitter as him sending "indirect messages" to Do Yeon, naturally. Cause you know, fans and their conclusions.

All I know about Do Yeon was that a lot of the evidence used to prove they were together were from her Twitter, so she was throwing easter eggs for quite a while already. She even wrote a message where you can line up his name (and stage name) vertically. Then of course someone else revealed a photo of them at the market, which was the most damning one. Seems others just wanted to jump in and give what they had really. And in the midst of the scandal, she kept on tweeting. Those tweets were basically her playing the victim, about how her parents didn't deserve this cause they've done their best for her, how she went overseas for education thanks to them, and she did mention how she was planning to be an actress, yada. So it was like promoting herself. Granted, Inspirits were throwing rocks at her and whatnot, and that was wrong no matter what her motivations for doing what she did were. But those were things that were so unnecessary to say. Later, later on, when thing were dying down, she stated she "felt sorry". I think some at first were on her side, but she just wouldn't shut up, and by that point, people caught on that she was seeking attention on herself.

L remained absolutely silent. Any statements were said by Woollim, who denied the rumors at first, but then took back their words and admitted they were in a relationship. Which pissed fans off even further.

Also, this is one of the scandals, I believe the only one, where they left each other. Most of the outed relationships/scandals, the partners stayed together, this one didn't. It makes me believe they were already drifting apart or what she did was indeed very shady. Yet those are my personal interpretations. No one will ever know.

I'm not sure about the fansites, so I won't comment on that. Their reason for being on hold that I heard was just them not wanting to aggravate the situation, but doing that did so anyway.

Not even just that. Inspirits should just thirst and forget about those insistent haters. Whatever they're doing isn't working, lol.

Oh? Lol. I should make an appreciation thread for OH sooner or later.

thanks for explaining. I still think that fans shouldn't have interfered in their relationship even if they didn't like her. hopefully next time his relationship will go better.

  4. Yeah, so I basically wrote an essay on how it was everyone else's fault for getting angry and that Myungsoo was pretty much a victim through all of it. And while you can blame him for dating her, because there are people that blame him for having awful taste, even though Doyeon is one person and you can't really base your taste off of one person (and while his ideal type has always been girls with long, wavy hair, it's not like he expected his ideal type to have the physical features he may have liked to be an immature attention seeker, like who's expecting that? no one), he definitely didn't sign up for everything that occurred when she outed them on SNS. Like you can't blame someone for dating someone, it's human nature to do so, and you can't just blame him for everything that happened either because that would just be stupid and unfair when he literally didn't do much, something that most people would have done anyway if they were in his boat as well.

Update: They replied back and basically their reasoning was based on their opinion and how their friends felt. Like please, you can have your opinion all you want, but when it disregards facts and what actually happened, please be quiet. I'm not even going to respond because I'll probably come across as an asshole.

could you tell me what's the reason why they got so much hate? i don't know much about this but I've seen a lot of hate directed towards doyeon and I'm wondering why. did she do something bad?

  5. I like the last two, but sadly the rules are pretty strict and I think due to the hand covering part of the face in the second one, and the strong side profile in the third one, they probably wouldn't make it through the approval.

You can find the badge guidelines here

    http://onehallyu.com/topic/149704-the-official-badge-guidelines-2015/

They're not bad otherwise though, please make more mock badges if you find suitable photos you like

Thanks. I actually wasn't aware that those could affect it. I'll take those into account in the future. :)

  6. hi!! my name is Johanna and I'm an inspirit from Finland. I became a fan in 2013 and my bias has always been Sungjong. I've been lurking around here from time to time and I usually don't have much to say.

I don't know if there are any korean speaking fans here but if there are then you should check out this site: http://dakkkyu12.dothome.co.kr/bbs/zboard.php?id=data&page=49&select_arrange=headnum&desc=asc&category=&sn=on&ss=off&sc=off&keyword=%B4%DA%C4%A1%B0%ED%BC%BA%B1%D4&sn1=on&divpage=1

it's like treasure chest for infinite fans. you can find nearly every video of infinite since 2009 and in HD. i just thought maybe someone could use it.

  7. You're still missing the message of the song then, it's not about telling women not to wear revealing clothes, it's about the conflict a guy feels when his girlfriend wears revealing clothes. The lyrics are written fully from the perspective of a guy who doesn't know how to protect his girlfriend from pervs while also respecting her right to wear what she wants, it never tells girls that they should just stop wearing skimpy outfits.

Another thing I don't get is why everyone seems to miss this point: if this guy believed that either a) girls shouldn't dress provocatively at all or b) guys should be allowed to dictate what their girlfriend wear, he wouldn't be expressing the internal conflict at all, this song would be a straightforward "go and change your clothes, I won't let you go out looking like that" song and not "how do I explain to my apparently oblivious girlfriend that guys are leering at her when she dresses like this and I don't feel comfortable with it" -___-

i know that i have a habit of looking into these things too much and i do understand being protective but i still can't enjoy the song. and as someone who has experienced sexual harassment like many other women i can't help but feel sad whenever i hear the song. i know that people focus on different things but i keep focusing on the bad things.

of course i don't think they're doing a sin or anything, i just think that maybe they and the company shouldn't have made the song or at least the mv.

btw it does say that she should only do these things in front of her boyfriend so it was kinda in there but yeah as you said it's not very direct. at first i only read about why the song and the mv are bad but after i read more opinions i feel like i have learned to see it a bit differently now. i'm still not able to fully enjoy the song though...

  8. about inconvenient truth, it really doesn't fit right with me either. sexual harassment feels really awful in real life and i also don't like how the song and the mv are saying that it happens because of how you dress.

i understand jealousy but if that's what they wanted to address then they should have made it more like nuest's 'don't wear revealing clothes'. they have the same message, but nuest actually sounds more protective and nicer. and even if it is a cultural difference that doesn't mean that it's okay.

if you're jealous then you should talk with your girlfriend or just break up with her if you're not compatible, but you shouldn't make her feel bad about her clothes. i still don't understand why in scandal sunggyu felt the need to point out his fake girlfriends clothes and make her feel embarrassed.

although i have seen many women saying that they don't want their boyfriends to wear revealing clothes either so that applies for both genders. victim-blaming in this is more common with men but hypocrisy is more common with women.

also no matter how you look at it, this song doesn't really have a positive effect. why make a song that tells women not to wear revealing clothes so you won't get harassed, when you could make a song that says don't harass people. ???  i just don't understand why they felt like this song was necessary.
